Service is mediocre at best, unprofessional at worst…read more The first time I made an appointment I specifically asked for an eye exam and a contact fitting appointment. I confirmed this, but when I came out of my eye exam I was told that the staff was too busy to fit my contacts, even though none of the three women were visibly busy, there were no other customers in the clinic and one was obviously on the phone laughing with a friend. I rebooked for two weeks later, came in ten minutes early and then waited for an hour. The lady at the counter made several comments regarding her coworkers being on lunch, which seems rather foolish given that there were several other people with appointments seated and milling around. When her coworkers finally showed, the people ahead of me were promptly served ....and then everyone who had come in after me. At least eight people who arrived after I had sat down were served and sent on their merry way; before I finally gave up and decided to ask for my prescription. I had intended to try somewhere in the city, but was thwarted even in that. Although I had just had an eye exam expressly for the purpose of contacts only fourteen day prior, apparently there was no prescription on file for me, nor would there be until I completed a 'class' on contacts use. The young lady at the counter offered to let me wait for a further undetermined amount of time, or rebook for a third time. I have been consistently underwhelmed. The staff are not impolite, but clearly their booking practices require an overhaul. I had been warned by friends to expect delays in service, but this was ridiculous.

I needed to have my eyes checked and it was important. I had some issues with time, transportation, (my eyes were dilated, so I couldn't drive) and I have a four month old puppy, who has huge separation anxiety. I had wanted to postpone the appointment, but they accommodated myself and my puppy. I was able to bring him with me, the ladies watched him, and I had the testing I needed done. They were amazing. I am pleasantly surprised and very grateful for their kindness, helpfulness and going above and beyond for my situation. The office was nicely decorated for Christmas and the overall feel was clean and comfortable. I will highly recommend this business to anyone needing eye care. We ordered new lenses for my son, was told to book an appointment which we did and after arriving was told to come back in 45 minutes. Upon arriving back, we saw the glasses sat untouched in a tray to which the saleslady said, "Oops, I should have poked the technician a little harder. I guess she didn't hear me." No apology, just a giggle. Since it was in the evening we left it there to return the next day. I went back this time, asking for the glasses. Same lady looked through files, drawers, couldn't find it. I expressed my dismay at the delay, to which she responded, "Must be a full moon." No acknowledgement of error, apology...just passing the buck. She kept on saying it must have been busy yesterday for a delay, all with a grimace on her face. To which I reminded her that it was she who dealt with me and since there was an appointment, the technician was just sitting there waiting...so it was not busy. Customer service is atrocious. Not worth saving a few bucks. Go somewhere professional and reputable. This was at the Beacon Hills location. I will take my business elsewhere.
