Another random discovery in Rehoboth that delighted me upon it's discovery…read more I was pulled over to pick up my wife from a nice restaurant across the street (DRIFT) and saw the words GAME ON to my left and a Playstation 2 logo in the window. I immediately thought: "The wife can drink more so I gotta check that out!!" after finding so many fun retro toy and gadget stores in the area the past couple years. As a video game afficionado, i have traveled and stumbled upon many a retro video game store and suffice to say I was not disappointed. A very well organized store with a deep variety of games , consoles (hello 3DO), and accessories for all of them. Definitely some very rare items that impressed even my jaded gamer soul. I was happily surprised to see a Rock Band guitar setup on a PS2 in the back to demo/play and a Xbox 360 kiosk with a sonic for my son to sample while i browsed. I particularly loved the Gaming Guide shelf. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable that I wish I'd had more time. Adding this store to my must visit list whenever I'm down to the beach.

What I discovered quickly though was that there was an ample amount of quality recordings to choose from and priced fairly. The space is somewhat concise, but has plenty to offer over multiple formats and genres. Also the owner was clearly a music lover, knows his stuff and is very helpful if needed. Most importantly, I asked about prices of cassettes bc there aren't any tags on the cases. I initially accepted the response "anywhere from $1 to $5." But later, when I actually had a little handful, and I also inquired about the 8-tracks, I got the same response. Says she "looks them up." She does not. She sizes people up. Naturally, when I checked out, everything managed to be top dollar. Magical. They also have so many extra things on tables (some for, some just.... random) and shelves that make it hard Not to bump into or knock over. Last thing, I was in my car when I noticed that the cd I bought wasn't in the case. Yes, mea culpa, but how helpful it would've been to have an employee ally looking after me just in case. Oh well. They got their one and only magical bill of sale from me. Ta Ra.

I'm mostly into history/military books and there were plenty. Been looking for a book called "The last full measure" and couldn't find it. Asked the guy at the register and he was backing less than thirty seconds with the book. Any problems just ask. Every time I come to either Cape May or Wildwood I hit this bookstore. Books are a bargain as well.
