I LOVE Fuzzy's. It is one of my favorite places to eat. Since moving to the Houston area a few years ago, I've been seriously missing it. This location is the closest to me and it's over an hour's drive away. My husband and I were headed back from a Saturday in Galveston, and I asked if we could drive 20 minutes out of the way to have lunch at my beloved Fuzzy's. The restaurant was a ghost town and that should've been my first sign that something was wrong. Only one other family came in to eat in the entire time we were there, and it was during lunch time on a weekend. The best thing we had was the chips and queso. Thankfully, that was as good as it's always been, and it didn't disappoint us. However, the rest of the food was so bland. It's not that it tasted bad, it's just that it wasn't good. A major disappointment when you've craved it as long as I have and don't live close enough to satisfy those cravings. One of my favorite things about Fuzzy's is their garlic sauce. I barely had any on my tacos and even then, it was just a saucy texture with no flavor. My husband ordered nachos and asked for extra garlic sauce, so I tried his thinking maybe it was just my tacos. Sadly, no his was completely bland too. I might try this location again, but it'll be a very long time before I do. read more

Nice place to get something fresh to eat. Stopped in here while traveling I like that there were options for food that were not too greasy or fried. I had the grilled shrimp tacos and grilled shrimp salad. A coworker had the carne asada nachos. It was good. I liked the brownies and rice krispies at the counter the most. Let me say... I found my taco shop! Went Sunday during the freeze and the GM Jason was there the staff are super friendly! My daughter was craving fish tacos since our cruise excursion so we decided to go. Just got some fish tacos but wow was it good! My entire family wants to go back!! Inside was big but very welcoming! MY REVIEW I love the chips and everything and it is a clean restroom and very fast when it comes to cooking food. And the butt burning sauce is a very delightful sauce. And the Oreo churros are a recommended choice. My Brother has this to say I personally think that Fuzzy's is a great choice for anybody craving some Mexican food, or looking for a nice bar environment after a long hard day. The service has always been great, and the food is some of the best in the area! Fuzzy's has some great cleanliness, and has a great outside area for anyone who may enjoy eating outside. This Fuzzy's used to be a great location. Since they've renovated and hired a new manager, it's gotten progressively worse!! The past couple of times we have gone in, we have had to order at the bar because they were too slow to open the counter. The portion size has decreased. The quality of some of the items have decreased. And they don't provide taco sauce or salsa when you purchase tacos. My husband asked for the one ounce salsa for 3 tacos and they asked him to go order and pay for it! We had to ask for the manager twice. Once we realized she was sitting at a table and asked to see her, she rolled her eyes. She said she gets in trouble for providing salsa for lunch or dinner, she's only allowed to serve it with breakfast tacos and burritos. She was not helpful at all! read more

Always check your food before you leave. I ordered a chicken and shrimp quesadilla with extra shrimp I get all the way home and there's no shrimp. I didn't call them but I just figured I'd go up there after I get off work. I've never been to Fuzzys. I had some high expectations about this place and thought it would be like Torchys. How disappointed I was. First off who doesn't put their prices on the menu? Like I can afford it but still. I asked for a corona on tap with limes. She did good with that. Asked for a water too. Never got that. I ordered the brisket and the carnitas tacos. They were actually cheap. I told her specifically no tomato's and cilantro. They don't bring your food by the way. You gotta grab it. Whatever. I grabbed it from the window like I work there. And first thing I saw was tomatoes and cilantro. So here I am picking off my tacos. Then I asked for sauce. They only have 2 sauces. I wanted like a creamy cilantro sauce but would have been fine with salsa verde. Nope. You get med red or hot red. I still tipped but I paid before I got my food. I like Tacos and I like Beer and this place has those things so I like this place. The tacos are served baja style which apparently means lettuc, tomato, feta, cilantro and garlic sauce. I love cilantro and feta so on the tacos with a little less flavored meats this helped. I had the spicey pork(not very spicy), shredded beef(my fave amongst the 3) and shredded chicken(Thankful for the baja toppings on this one....bland). I also had the tortila soup which I ordinarily love but this one not so much. The place itself has a kind of fun vibe. Every table has their "butt burning hot sauce". I'm happy to report that the sauce did not burn my butt going in or coming out. It did have a nice light heat with a garlicy, cayenne flavor. It's a chain so somethings are good, somethings are blah. My husband and I decide to try Fuzzy's for the first time for lunch. As you walk in, you order then find a seat and wait for your number to be called. We were greeted by Kevin who was very helpful. He was very friendly and welcoming. We told him it was our first time and he gave us a few recommendations. I decided to order two grilled fish taco plate with a side of Latin fried potato and water. My husband ordered a grilled fish taco, a fried crawfish taco and a beef taco with mix-mex fried rice and Latin fried potato and a Dos XX from the tap. They ran out of the tap and gave him 2 bottles in place of it. Overall, our tacos were yummy and filling. The potato was a bit soggy but everything else was great. One of the best fish tacos I've ever had. My husband likes the beef taco out of his three. The tacos came out quick. Would definitely come back again. Our total was $20 including the beer. This place reminds me of a cheap copy of Torchy's Tacos in Austin. For what it is, it isn't terrible. Food is adequate, service is fairly quick (albeit indifferent) and drinks are pretty weak. For a late night dinner spot in Beaumont, you take what you can get. If they had a bit more creativity with their taco fillings and better service, they could easily earn an extra star or two. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. Extremely rude staff. Manager is also very rude. The restaurant is filthy. They do not observe social distancing. Had to call their corporate office in Fort Worth to report how they act and treat their customers. Even the corporate office goes along with them. They have also been reported to a local news media who is planning to write up a story about how they act. The absolute rudest people in Beaumont. They remove negative comments on their Facebook Page, but not on this one. Like I said in the beginning, avoid this place at all costs. The tacos are far much better at Taco Bell. read more

Being that I am a truck driver, I rely a lot on delivery services like DoorDash and Grubhub. Well tonight I ordered through DoorDash. I ordered the Beef Fajitas with the Habanero Butt Burning Sauce, Borracho Beans, Latin Fried Potatoes, chips and salsa and a ice tea. The quality of the food was poor. My order wasn't correct. I ended up with refries. No habanero sauce. The potatoes were like mushy leftovers from yesterday and everything was cold. I expected much better quality for the price of the food. Glad we went around the time we did. Around 2-3 pm Saturday. It was almost empty. Cashier was very friendly and helpful. My wife and I split a taco dinner and we got chips and salsa and one drink and it was 11 dollars. 2 tacos, two sides, and the food was very good. Table was clean and TV had some soccer championship on. Wasn't sure what we were supposed to do with our plates and trays so we ended up putting them up ourselves. There is also a nice outdoors area to sit. Chairs and tables and bar stools and high tables. Fuzzys is located right next to Sertinos cafe too so if you want coffee or dessert it's right there. Fuzzy's is my favorite place for fish tacos whenever we're visiting or passing through Beaumont, TX. It's a fast food taco joint that serves street style tacos. As you walk in, you order at the counter then proceed to find a table to wait for your number to be called. My boyfriend and I typically order a few grilled fish taco and a order of cold salsa and chips (make sure you specify cold or hot salsa). The grilled fish is served on corn tortilla with lettuce, tomato, feta, and cilantro. Topping it with the spicy sauce and the salsa, it hits the spot. At $1.99/taco, it isn't too bad. A star deduction is that the tacos are on the smaller side and they skimped out on the fish every once in awhile. Since the place is self serve, it gets pretty dirty and the tables aren't bussed as much as it should. read more

When this place first opened, I had heard from friends that it was good. I was especially seeing a lot of pictures on facebook, of delicious looking margaritas. So today, we finally got to try it out, and it just didn't hit the spot. As far as Mexican food goes, I've had Waayy better. And if you're in Beaumont, there are SO many better and authentic nearby Mexican restaurants - that honestly, why even bother with this place. The only thing that I really enjoyed was the guacamole and queso. I ordered a beef quesadilla thinking that would be hard to screw up.... but I was wrong. They use shredded beef instead of fajita and it was So freakin greasy that it was dripping everywhere and soggy. And on top of that they put Pico de gallo inside (which i don't prefer, and had I know that's how they make it I would have asked for it on the side). They also put diced tomatoes in the queso we ordered, which my husband hated, but that didn't bother me so much. There were so many tomatoes in all of our orders though, that my husband said as we were leaving, "They should remove that picture of the chili pepper decal on the door, and replace it with a tomato" Lol Also, we ordered one of those "delicious" margaritas...a cherry limeade one w/ a corona and I really wasn't impressed with it either. Overall, the "Mexican" food served here just isn't the taste and texture that I expected or crave, so I don't plan on returning here. The cherry margarita was pretty good, but I had a few overwhelmingly sweet gulps of pure cherry syrup. I got the grilled fish taco and fried shrimp taco, which were both tasty. I wish they put more fish in the taco, though. I barely had a tiny sliver. The salsa and chips were YUM. The salsa was nice and warm and full of flavor. I'd come back! Ok I love Fuzzy's however the Beaumont is lacking in food quality. I have visited this location twice and each time the food was cold. I frequent the Nederland location often for lunch and have tried just about everything on the menu and loved it. For instance, the grilled shrimp tacos are my go to when I am unsure of what I want. In Beaumont this had been cold both time and shells are stale or maybe not heated. Either way not good. Each time I have been to this location I have gone with different people and was able to try their food also. Same result COLD. For the most part the Customer service is A-plus but please improve your food quality. I was not there during a peak time so rushing was not needed. The cashier is proof of a failed educational system. $15.13 total, I hand the cashier a 20 and tell her I have the 13 cents. She gathers $4.87 from the register, looks at the 13 cents, back at the drawer, and at the 13 cents. She then slams the drawer shut and tells me she cannot give me a 5 as change. How dense do you have to be to not be able to do that math? They didn't microwave the beans long enough, so they were cold. Yes, you can see them microwaving food if you stand at the pickup counter. What kind of Mexican place microwaves barracho beans? Cold potatoes, bland spicy pork. I found no redeeming value in this place. read more
