In July 2026, while working in my second-floor bathroom, I looked out the bathroom window and noticed a visible gap between the glass and the exterior frame of the house. I took a photo and contacted Chris by email. He responded on July 7 and said he would come out later that week to inspect the issue and determine whether there was a remedy. Unfortunately, after several follow-up emails and phone calls, I have received no further response from Chris or anyone else. The issue remains unresolved. I would appreciate it if someone from the company would contact me, explain what may have occurred during installation, and provide a solution to correct the problem. Potential customers should be aware of my experience and consider asking about the company's warranty and follow-up service before moving forward.

They came out and gave a fair estimate, but I didn't like how the installation was going to go - specifically, the materials they were going to use. I have a frameless, swinging glass shower door that spanned half the length of a bathtub, and it was open on the other end. I wanted to "close off" the other end with a fixed piece of glass. Because the tub is fiberglass, the first company said they would install it into a channel that would run along the base of the tub. I didn't like this look, so I sat on the job for a bit... The project ran about six months. The short version: we'd hire them again. The longer version: Jacob, the design lead, is the reason we went with them. He has a genuine passion for old buildings and pushed to preserve original details that another contractor would have torn out without a second thought. That instinct matters when you're working on something irreplaceable. Ken managed the project more quietly but kept things moving. And when issues came up after the job was done -- after the final check had been cashed -- Jacob, Ken, and the owner Sage came back and made it right. That's not nothing. That's actually rare. Were there setbacks? Yes. If you've hired contractors in LA, especially on older properties, you know what you're signing up for. New Dawn isn't immune to that reality. They're not the cheapest option and not the most expensive either. But they're the kind of crew that stands behind their work, and in this city, that's worth writing a review about.
