I tried this salon since it was local and read good reviews but unfortunately I had the most horrible experience. My stylist was Martha and I asked for highlights. I told her I did not want all over color, wanted to use gentle dye and was assured by her that she understood. She even asked me if I normally wear my hair up and I told her no. She ended up putting a ridiculous excessive amount of highlights in my hair where I've never had highlights before (under my hair where nobody can see it after I told her I did not normally wear my hair up) and she even had me help her put the foils in. During the processing time she seemed very distracted and now looking back at it and was told by another stylist at another salon that she left the dye in for too long. The highlights came out very blotchy amd does not blend well at all. After the highlights were placed, she then prepared another dye and told me she was going to dye the rest of my hair a brown color to blend it when I was very clear again that I did not want to have all over color and only highlights so I declined the all over hair color. I told her several times that I have a semsitive scalp and asked her not to pull my hair too hard and to be gentler on the washing and she kept on being so aggressive with my scalp. She would tell me that she was sorry and kept on being aggressive, during the wash she even stated that other clients ask her to be even more aggressive with their scalps and that they give her arms a workout to downplay or dismiss my requests. After the hair washing I sat back in the chair and she proceeded to roughly comb my hair when I looked down and saw a hideous amount of hair come out and when I said something she downplayed it again and stated it's natural to lose hair. I've never lost that amount of hair from coloring/highlighting my hair. She took me outside to look at my hair in the sun when it was still wet and I told her that It was fine but could not hide how mortified I was with the amount of hair she combed out. I think I was in shock and felt sick to my stomach.I didn't even let her dry, style or cut my hair and I quickly asked to pay so I could just run out of there with my hair wet. Then she told me that it was $145!! It would have been more if she would have colored or cut my hair!! I gave it a few days for me to gather my thoughts and for the highlights to set in until I text her to respectfully tell her my dissatisfaction and asked for her customer policy, a partial refund or anything else at this point. I told her how aggressive she was with my scalp, how blotchy/unblended my highlights looked and how she put way too many unnecessary highlights in my hair and her answer was that she gave me what I asked for and that she's been coloring for 20 years and stated she was busy for the next few days but that I could come in later for her to do a treatment on my hair. The last thing I want is for to touch my hair after how aggressive she was with it. My hair is beyond fried, looks like an amateur highlighted it (my daughter said it looks like I'm in middle school and tried to highlight it myself to look cool) She never told me the customer policy, brushed me off that she was too busy for the next few days, and I feel that all she wanted to do was charge me a lot for services I did not want and was not needed. I will never go back to Fusion Salon for Martha's services. I was respectful and reasonable trying to come to a resolution but all I received was a defensive reply. My hair is ruined and all I can do is try to salvage it on my own until it grows out at this point. It's been very heartbreaking. read more
