Our flights routed through Atlanta, and during the layover on out outbound flight we discovered the…read moreSavannah Candy Shop in the B terminal. We visited and enjoyed dark chocolate and raspberry truffles... we limited ourselves to only two apiece, and we can confirm that they are so good the truffles did not even make it to the jetway; we enjoyed them before boarding, improving our already happy vacation mood. Some times you give chocolates as a gift; other times a small pre-flight snack, other times a larger order for yourself... you can have all three here in the Atlanta terminal B. Thank you, Savannah Candy Shop!

And this particular offshoot in Atlanta's international airport would seem to be the ultimate stop to satisfy one's sweet tooth while passing through Terminal B. The bad news is that the original Savannah's Candy Kitchen is shockingly underwhelming, with pretty mediocre sweets and chocolates. Even pralines, something in which that area of the United States specializes, aren't very inspiring. It's more of a tourist trap. The good news is that this airport Candy Kitchen is actually better than the original by some bizarre twist of fate. In fact, it's actually one of the better dessert stops in any U.S. airport. And while we gave it three stars, it's a far cry from the original that earned a solid one-star review from our family. So if you're in Terminal B, sure, go ahead and stop by this little spot!

The stand consists of several frozen yogurt dispensing machines, a sprinkles and chocolate toppings station, and then a fruit toppings station. Flavors the day I went included dulce de leche, vanilla, chocolate, and berry. Frozen yogurt is sold by the ounce. Food: Frozen Yogurt Cup ($0.59/ounce) - There are no surprises with the frozen yogurt here. All of the machines were functional and the frozen yogurt came out solid, not melted. I chose vanilla, chocolate, and berry. The flavors tasted as you would expect. The berry flavor is too tart in my opinion. I only chose toppings from the sprinkles and chocolate toppings station. M&Ms and white chocolate chips were as expected - not old or anything. The fruit toppings didn't appear the freshest, but they didn't look completely inedible either. Service: All self-serve. Just weigh your cup at the end and pay the cashier. Verdict: It's frozen yogurt, not ice cream. I thought the frozen yogurt was comparable to what chain restaurants serve outside of the airport. Less variety in flavors due to space constraints and fruit toppings could be fresher. It works though, if you need a quick snack in D terminal.

A fan$y place to stop for a healthy bite on a layover in the E concourse at ATL Airport…read more Everything I ordered here was delicious. The poke tacos appetizer were light and flaky with a nice avocado sauce, though I wish they had more tuna and were larger. One order is three tiny tacos about two inches wide by one inch tall for $18. The spicy tuna will was also great, nice and spicy with whole tuna (not shredded) and a slight crunch. Anywhere else I would expect to pay $8-10 for that roll, and even given the inflated airport prices I thought $18 for one roll was a little steep. The service was fantastic. My server while seated at the bar, Phil, was engaging, prompt, polite, funny, gave recommendations, etc. The atmosphere is modern, dark, clean. The warm incandescent light, marble tabletops, and wood-look flooring is a nice contrast to the flourescent lit concourse right outside. I gave them 5 stars because nothing was lacking, but the pricing is a little high for what you get.

Service was great, waitress had great recommendations for everyone in her area. She also added sauce on the side for me to try. I ordered lamb couscous plate, forgot the official name of it but lamb was very tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. Couscous was firm but cooked, hummus and tahini flow with that combo very well. My only complaint about this dish is the combo of warm and cold ingredients. Everything was warmed and cooked but the vegetables that were on top, it surprised me for sure. However it was still tasty. They served food and drinks in glass and ceramics, which i am very appreciative of, no plastic water cups, i know that bar is low but that is just a reality nowadays. Good food selection, great customer care, maybe just a tiny bit more attention to the food composition. Would recommend! P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.
