Sure, they're legally required to have specific dates and times for voting. But I believe that they go above and beyond that with locations for early voting - 19 different sites throughout the county. There are two within four miles of my home! Today, I arrived at one of the facilities to cast my vote. A reasonable amount of parking, an organized system for queueing, clearly marked lines for campaigners to stay behind, and inside, a tidy and organized system. Plenty of poll workers to ensure a quick and easy time to get your ballot details and then to vote. My touchscreen worked fine, printing out a paper trail that I could see. None of that "I voted for this guy but it changed my vote to that guy" nonsense here. Easy and simple to perform my civic duty. I'm a fan. [Review 9962 overall, 1542 of 2018.]

But I have to say that inspite of the challenges of a very large city, it all went smoothly. I was proud when I voted for the first time. I am in Charlotte, NC now, and although not huge like Miami, is large enough! I have to say voting in Miami and voting in Charlotte was a breeze. The precinct staff was efficient, kind, and ready to assist voters. I have only missed a couple of voting days and I am 71 so I've been voting for 50 years! It's a way of having your voice heard. I've always had good luck going to this post office and dropping off packages to mail…read more Occasionally there would be a line, but everyone was waiting patiently and the staffers seemed friendly. This location is not a stand-alone post office building, but one that is at the end of a business strip. There is plenty of parking and is very easy to get in and out. The majority of the location is PO Boxes, but very rarely have I seen the line extend out past the glass doors of the area that they lock up at night. There is no package drop off for late night (past 5pm) that I've seen, but if you have a prepaid label and package, it's very simple to "skip" the line and place the package on the far right counter (if you are facing the Postal workers).

If you are scared to fly, the drive will be a brutal thirteen hours trek although once you get into the Smokey Mountains you may never want to leave after witnessing the view. There are three major colleges in North Carolina: North Carolina Sate Univ, UNC Charlotte and University of NC Chapel Hill.

We arrived at 4 knowing it closed at 5 p.m. A friendly attendant greeted us at the gate and asked if we were new visitors which we were, and he informed us that the last tour was already progress and we could join in, or explore the grounds on our own. This is an experience everyone young and old would enjoy! The tour is a glimpse into Mr. Graham's life, his ministry, and his travels around the world. The gardens and grounds are beautiful, and there's a memorial garden on site. We're already planning to return to experience the full tour, which is said to be at least an hour and a half long and it's free. The staff was amazing and very knowledgeable.

I took the self guided "Journey of Faith" tour and I learned so much about Billy Graham that I never knew before. He was truly such an amazing man! They also have a restaurant and library inside as well, so this is definitely a place you could spend most of your day!

Inside, it was clean, quiet, and welcoming; except during the occasional (and adorable) toddler reading sessions. Reserving a private study room was super easy--just scan the QR code to reserve, and a librarian unlocks the door when it's your turn. The WiFi was free and reliable, the bathrooms were spotless, and I appreciated that they allowed me to bring in water and my morning coffee. All in all, a clean, convenient, and accessible space for focused work. Highly recommend if you're in the area and need a quiet place to concentrate!

I stopped by the United States Post Office on a weekend because I needed to ship a package…read more According to the USPS website, this location listed self-service kiosks available in the lobby, which in many cities (including where I lived in the Bay Area) are often accessible even when the main counter is closed. Unfortunately, when I arrived the lobby was locked and I wasn't able to access the kiosk at all. That was pretty disappointing since I specifically came here expecting the self-service option to be available. One challenge with USPS locations is that calling ahead isn't very helpful--the phone system usually routes you to a general 800 number rather than the local branch. The shopping center itself is convenient with plenty of parking, so getting there isn't difficult. Insider tip: If you're planning to ship something here on the weekend, double-check access hours for the lobby or have a backup shipping plan just in case the self-service kiosks aren't available. As someone still navigating Charlotte after moving from the Bay Area, I'm learning that availability can vary by location, so planning ahead helps.
