This is my favorite furniture store! Not only because of the Lost and Found Collection, which is AMAZING! What keeps me coming back to this location is the customer service, a much different experience than Midland. *see that review if you want to know how NOT to furniture... I purchased the bulk of my furniture in this location for my move to Midland, since I own homes in both locations, I often return to this store and see what's new, see what's different than in Midland etc. Every single time I have been here I have received Outstanding Service from Nelson. He is a Sales Rep.. He walked with me, following me around with a calculator as I furnished my home, helping me stay on budget with the pieces I selected. Amazing! That's not even the best part, when I come back.. even a month later, he recognizes me by name, asks how my new house is coming and generally makes me feel welcome and important. Oak Express carries some very nice furniture that I think is well made. We purchased a bedroom suit here several years ago. Made of a honey toned light oak, it was very nice and exactly what we wanted. And the price proved they liked it too. Fast forward to now, and we want 2 queen headboards that match the other suit. Jacob was very helpful, and since it wasn't in stock, we looked them up. Well, at $800 per headboard, we'll have to think about it. But Glenda will win, and we'll have 2 new headboards! Tough to find a dining room set that is designed for a small house in Abilene. Everywhere is large tables, picnic style (not my favorite) or western themed. Went in to just look for chairs and they had a floor clearance set that was absolutely perfect. And the sales staff wasn't pushy or annoying. Perfect amount of help and even adjusted the price a bit. Best of all it was there. Every furniture store here has most of their models order only. Needed a set for Xmas and couldn't wait 4-6 weeks. Loaded up and back at the house in less than an hour. And we got to buy local. Big props to Jacob. Super nice and helpful. Anything from there in the future I will ask for him. read more

We had a housefire and required a bedroom group, dining set, and a living room group. It is now 6 years later and we have had to replace the bed and the dining room table due to poor workmanship. I should have known when the bed arrived broken and required replacement the day after delivery. I will be going elsewhere in the future. read more

I had some specific pieces of furniture in mind for the waiting room at my office. I spent all day one Saturday going to all the furniture stores in town. I couldn't find what I wanted for a good deal. Then I remembered Furniture Row. When I walked in, Jacob, the manager, greeted me personally. He listened to me and started making suggestions. He knew where everything was in the store and he never tried to steer me to something more expensive. I was able to find everything I was looking for in that one stop. Should have gone there first! But, a couple of the items were at a store in another town, and I was working on a deadline. Not only did Jacob get everything to Abilene in plenty of time for my deadline, he personally delivered the first batch, then arranged for Sunday morning shipping! His communication has been excellent and he has already located another item I have been looking for at a much lower price than I have seen elsewhere. After looking for living room furniture for 2 years we finally went into Sofa Mart thinking it would be a quick in-and-out "look and leave" Like all the other places that hadn't for our needs. To our surprise we immediately found everything that we had been looking for and more. We had ALL of our questions answered with ZERO pressure to buy. We bought a 6 piece sectional and the delivery team was awesome. They were careful and courteous and made sure everything was just how we wanted it before they left. They also checked that all of the cables and packaging were cleaned up. We had such a good experience we went back tonight and bought an entertainment center! He's very patient with my indecisiveness. The rewards program is awesome! I have purchased many of my home furnishings from here over the last 15 years and like the quality and selection. That being said it has been the people that make or break my decision on where to shop. I would have given 5 stars if it were my time spent with Jacob who was great to deal with and does value customer satisfaction. He is the one to work with and you will be in good hands. Nelson was a pleasure to work with too. On the other hand it is best to avoid Richard who is pushy and makes you feel frustrated. He is overbearing and not good in customer relations and doesn't follow through. read more

This business should be given negative stars, but that feature isn't available. I ordered a complete bedroom set for my daughter on November 27. Richard told me that it would be in by mid-December. I called the week prior to make sure everything was on track and was told it was....nope! Delivery week comes and go; I'm told it will be the following week. December has now passed and I still don't have my bedroom set. Customer service is poor, not once have they called me, I've called every week for four weeks. Every answer has been, "it'll be here next week, got everything but the head and foot board." They definitely know how to get rid of what would have been a repeat customer. I regret giving them $2,600.00 and should have spent my money else where. read more

I was there to pick out a new mattress under a warranty replacement, and there were no issues or problems. Just do your research before buying so you get what suits your needs. This was my 5th experience with Furniture Row. Now everyone in our family has a memory foam mattress from the Abilene location. The quality has been great and the mattresses have held up over time. We have a king, three twin XL's, and now a twin. Our two year old needed a twin bed so I went in today and was immediately greeted by Jacob. I told him about my previous purchases and what I was looking for. He was able to find the exact mattress set I wanted and bonus, the set was in stock! He even came out and measured my SUV to make sure the box spring would fit in the back. Afterwards I couldn't get one of my car seats unlatched from the anchors, he even got that done for me. Jacob was wonderful and went above and beyond the call of duty today. I enjoyed learning about his family while he helped with my car. I promptly went to the warehouse and the gentleman there was swift and efficient, he loaded up my mattress and box spring for me and even accepted my high five when it all fit. No stars here , bought a leather sectional and purchased the warranty, of course had problems with the leather cracking-which they said it wouldn't ...attempted two seperate claims to warranty department .... No such luck....we will NEVER buy anything from this store, NEVER!!! And the salesman Richard was a complete joke.....very disappointed in service and quality . read more
