I explained to Mr. Woodall we had not purchased the pre-owned table and were basing our decision for purchase on the total costs we would incur, i.e. purchase price and refinishing price. He was the second vendor I contacted and his quote was very reasonable . I also viewed his website which indicated his company was a long standing business with a good reputation/client testimonials. What I really want to share, aside from his prompt and reasonable quote, is the honesty I received from him. He told me there was the possibly of issues down the road with the finish over the brass inlay. He said the finish may be long lasting BUT it may not be as well due to expansion and retraction of the brass. He recommended we keep looking for a table in a very professional manner. Mr. Woodall's quote was $300.00 less than the first re-finisher I contacted. The first re-finisher actually called me a week later and stated he could lower the price. I will contact him in the future for any refinishing needs based on this experience.
