We went to look electric recliners. The salesman met us at the door and took us straight to what we were looking for. We had to wait for delivery because of the snow. Our decision. read more

I have been a customer for many years and have ALWAYS gotten quality furniture and great customer service. We have purchased bedroom sets, dining room furniture, mattresses and misc. other things. Ask for Doug, he is the best! I refer all my friends and family to him. My daughter recently purchased this Broyhill sectional and I loved it so much I bought one also in a different fabric. Stop in and look around, they have a huge inventory. read more

Furniture King - Broyhill sofa and ottoman purchased from Furniture King - Furniture Stores Near Me - Carbondale, Illinois

If you are a student and/or looking for cheap furniture, then turn around and go somewhere else. My fiance and I recently moved here without any furniture. The outside of the building looks like two warehouses joined into one, but when you walk in, they have everything nicely organized and displayed. The workers are quick to help you and to also let you browse on your own. I liked that they didn't hover around us looking for a sale. When we walked in, I realized this place wasn't for us. All the furniture looked very fancy and something you would hold on to for years and years. We are only going to be here for three years so I didn't need anything fancy and expensive. If you are going to live in Carbondale for the rest of your life, this is probably a good place to invest your money in. The furniture is high-quality. read more

Brad, the manager of this firm, is a smooth talking con artist. Don't shop here. Dude will hightail every cent u have rather it b 200 or 20 dollars. I bought a matrass from them that cost 500 and it was sagging n the middle. So, instead of helping me w my issue, smooth talked me out of another 5 dollars just 4 a piece of wood! 2 heck w it. Worse, this also happened to my grandmother (a sweet innocent 79-year-old lady) and she suffers from memory loss problems now. So instead of helping her out, the manager persuaded her to pay 20 dollars so that he could give her a piece o/ wood and (do) nothing at all. Fire this man. He is hurting a good store chain. Looking 4 a matrass? Try the matrass firm on Main St. U can look up the address. read more

Last Fall my daughter, who at that time was a junior, needed a bedroom set for her room in her apartment. We had a day and a half to get this done. We investigated the other furniture vendors in town and they all "had to order" what we needed. We then went to Furniture King. They had the inventory in stock and an excellent delivery system that we took advantage of and got everything in place. We felt that the prices were reasonable and of good quality. But the key was that they were ready to take care of customers like us who had to get things organized in a tight time frame. Well done! read more

I would have to disagree with the other review here saying this furniture is quality. They have a terrible selection and it's sad that it all looks the same. New to the area and looking for furniture it was such a disappointment knowing that this was my option. Every time I have been there the workers are all sitting around and someone reluctantly greets you. You would think in a commission based job you would be nice to people and actually try to help. Take your money anywhere else. read more

Our quest for furniture quickly ended when we found the Furniture King. We had been to several stores, going as far as Paducah. The selection was great and the service was very attentive without being overwhelming. Delivery was excellent, the crew did a fantastic job making sure everything was perfect before leaving. My only criticism is that the furniture took a while to be delivered, but that could be because we ordered so much from different manufacturers. Being from a large city, the pricing was very reasonable even compared to other local furniture stores. We will definitely be back to finish furnishing our lake house. read more

We went in with hopes of finding a king bed and dresser and were pleasantly surprised to see the style we'd favored from several months back still in stock. It was a Wednesday morning and not a lot of foot traffic in the store, but Russel was great helping with a mattress and the bedroom set. We had several errands to run, but planned to return to make a final decision. When we returned we were given a better deal than our initial quote, which I'm sure anyone could appreciate. Our order was in stock and delivered the following week, only because that was the soonest our schedule allowed (they were ready to deliver the following day). Matt was great in setting up the delivery for a time that worked well for our schedule and called 25 minutes prior to delivery. The delivery was on time, the men (I apologize I did not get their names) were professional and efficient. They had the bed moved in and set up within 20 minutes. Diane called the day after delivery to ensure everything was taken care of, which I very much appreciate! We are Very pleased with our experience from Russel, Matt, the delivery men, Diane, and The Furniture King. When we need furniture in the future, we'll be sure to go them! read more

Very helpful and friendly staff. Bought a couch last month to replace the awful quality mistake from Ashley Furniture Outlet a few years ago. Sales staff is helpful, not pushy and genuinely likes to help out customers. had it delivered in two days. Excellent quality and reclines on both sides. Kinda pricey but so worth it. We will be back to get chairs to compliment it. read more

We bought a $1500 foam Sealy pedic mattress from them. It was delivered and set up. We slept in it the first night and it had a strong moldy smell coming from it. We waited a couple of days and called the store. The owner came out and looked at it and agreed to replace it with a different brand. We agreed and they delivered it. It has the same moldy smell coming from it. If you are looking for a mattress shop some where else. read more
