I asked why it was so much when I was told it was going to be significantly cheaper prior, I was asked if I was a preferred member, I asked how I would know and was told " you would know if you were". Apparently the $90 price was only if you prepaid for the items this was never said over the phone, I skipped cheaper product at other stores because of this. The deal was not offered and was pretty much told oh well should have prepaid. Thanks Castle, I want to like the place as it's the closest with a big selection but it's not worth giving my money to a place that won't honor a deal they had in place.

It has a model and mini painting room, and it's used for gaming Thursdays and Thursdays. Warhammer, etc. is there on Thursdays. Regular board gaming is there on both nights, but the bulk of the room is reserved for tabletop RPG. There's an additional gaming room in the front. The people that come there to play are are great, the shop is extremely well-run, the staff is great. They do special orders and card trading. They carry some gently used items. And there's a purchase stamp program. Anyways, my brother used to take me, his baby sis, with him to the comic book shop every Tuesday when I was little, and read them to me, so I like checking out any shop I run into in my travels and moves to other states for a touch of home. Castle Perilous is among the most welcoming, and is among the best stocked in each category while still having a lot of variety. Smart use of the square footage. It's impressive.

It's always, ever changing, you can pop in once a week and see new things. What I really like about it is how the artists who work there, repurpose some otherwise unusable items to create one of kind pieces. Great selection of clothing and miscellaneous finds primarily. I didn't even realize that there was a basement either! I love the interactions where you have the couch monster in the middle of the room as a way for a photo op too. The staff here is very friendly and social as well. The prices here are actually pretty fair for they are too. Happily spent a couple hours here looking at all the great finds here.
