How that is an emergency visit that warrants extra payment is beyond me...so I went early and knocked early; I could hear them in the office but they did not answer and in waiting she died. At around 9, a young girl wandered out with a puppy to pee and had no sense of urgency and no bedside manner. They let me in and took my dog to the back. I ordered her ashes and paid over 800$ for all. Later, at home, I wrote to the doctor saying how disappointed I was at the lack of care I rec'd. He called me to talk and I called him back and left a message and he did not try to reach me again. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I work with a person who used to work for AAH and boy, did I get some validation on the crappy care he offers; his GREED, his anger issues, his throwing of things, his yelling at employees and finally, his lack of professional ability and care. My dog would have died anyway I'm sure but at the expense of 800$???? I have gone to All Creatures in Evansville and though some may not agree, have wonderful care there.

The staff here do not know how to introduce themselves to animals and have no time or care to help an animal feel calm or comfortable before coming to probe and poke with thermometers and needles. They will bail on treatment and they act afraid of animals. Then deny they do anything wrong and tell you to go find another vet, if not satisfied with the lack of care. The manager will not care if you and your pet have been mistreated and only backs his lying staff. Do yourself and your pet a favor and find another vet to go to. Lots of staff turn over so there must be internal problems.

This place should be shut down immediately. After my perfered place of boarding was completely full I had to resort otherwise. After just three short days of leaving my sweet golden retriever, I was dumbfounded when I received her back. In just three short days my dog came back with cuts, scrapes, and her once beautiful wet nose was bone dry. When she came out her tail was in between her legs and it wasn't until she saw me that her tail came back to life. When we came home she immediately sat next to her food bowl like she does when it is her time to be fed. She eats fast but I had never seen her eat like this. I came back the following day and asked to see the boarding room. I wasn't allowed which I think is a big sign that something bad is going on. I will no longer be coming back to Connies and I will be boarding my dog with Altitude Veterinary Hospital. They have someone on call 24/7 and masie has always come back looking healthy and happy.
