Especially when you look through the floor/net to see the floor of the cavern a long long way down. The only thing missing was some music to jump to. This is the only one of its kind in the world apparently so pretty special. It's a really hard workout too, even the regular exercisers needed a few sit downs! You keep getting up again though as it's so much fun! We kept falling over all the time as it's quite hard to keep your balance, I don't know how some people were playing rugby! Helmets and boiler suit were a good idea although it all got a bit sweaty. I went with a group of 10 and only 1 person didn't enjoy it, so pretty good odds. The person that didn't like it has a real fear of heights and didn't really enjoy the bouncing much either. I do have a bit of a fear of heights too and am also slightly claustrophobic but I definitely enjoyed it. I did struggle a bit with the netting slides but once done they're fine :) One of my friends did say though that some people were coming down the climbing up chutes as that's the only option apart from the slides to get back back down. A less daunting third option would be good please!

For £25 you get an hour's trampolining, bouncing from cavern to cavern, climbing up ladders and snaking down tubular slides from level to level. Make sure you have trainers on and some light clothing too, as you'll get so hot with all the bouncing about. Safety helmets (and attractive hairnets) are compulsory and the safety briefing is pretty comprehensive too. The age range in there is brilliant - grandparents bouncing alongside kids. If you want to make a day of it, there's plenty of other activities on site too - from Europe's tallest zip wire, to a quarry explorer 4x4 trip. Café on site too - predictably on the pricey side but clean and roomy. Definitely worth a visit!

GreenWood Forest Park is a rather unlikely find in the North Wales countryside. It's an eco-theme…read morepark which tries to show that you can have fun without using much power (other than that which you provide yourself). It's NOT a park that pushes the green message at you at every opportunity and this I like. It's that fact that it's understated that makes you think about it. Home to Europe's largest Green roller coaster this place is well worth a visit. The coaster itself works alomg similar principles to the mines, power is generated by people being carried down as the coaster is lifted back up to the start. The coaster then runs down and the next group of people can be taken. Other self-powered rides include a boat ride (where you paddle/pull yourself along with ropes) and a great toboggan run. The other major attraction is the bare-foot walk where you can get back to nature via a barefoot walk through various types of ground including sand, cobbles, mud, water and straw. Immense fun and strangely refreshing. Wash facilities are provided (cold!). Toilets are clean and there is a cafe offering good value basic meals. Wait times were not too bad. I liked the fact that this was a simple park and suited to children from toddlers to about 13 years old. I suspect the optimum age range is about 3-8 years. Unlike the traditional theme parkes queues are minimal (no more than a 2 minute wait for anything) despite our visit being on a May bank Holiday weekend in bright sunshine! Please note - do as the website suggests and if you are using a sat nav start to ignore it when you see the brown tourist signs - if you don't then you end up going through some very steep and narrow roads that are not suited to tourist traffic. It will take about 5 minutes more if you follow the tourist signs but you'll get there in one piece! Recommended.

She was being sarcastic if you hadn't guessed. Las Vegas Amusements looks tired and relic-like from the outside and not much is different on the inside. The floor is sticky, wet and smells of wee but hey, doesn't most of the British seaside? We only went in to play with the two pence machines and that is all we did, mainly because it was so damn hot we wilted within 10 minutes.

Rhyl's Children's Village was an attempt to create a tourist attraction that for some reason has…read morenever really properly taken off. Following the demise of the Ocean Beach funfair in 2007 this is now the only funfair in Rhyl, although it only has kids rides. It's not overly expensive so it's somewhere to pass half an hour or so with the young ones. It's handily placed between the town centre and the beach and there may be places to eat here, although it's not always easy to tell what's still open and what's closed down. Not that it's a problem as you can just pop over the road and grab a bite to eat there. If you want a proper funfair you'll need to head over to Towyn and visit the one at Tir Prince Raceway, which also caters for adults.

Unlike the other amusement arcades in town (the ones on dry land) there's no 'Jackpot' area where you can win £500 as long as you're prepared to feed pound coins into the machines. There are plenty of gaming machines but the last time I was there none of them cost more than 10p a spin. There are also video games and crane grab machines and I'm sure they've still got a pinball machine. Not really a place I'd recommend to anyone but if you have to visit an arcade your money will last much longer in this one.
