Overall a great place to stay while in Córdoba. Its location is close to the Mezquita, the biggest attraction in Córdoba, and other sightseeing places. About a 25 minute walk from the bus and train stations. The staff was friendly and helpful and will point out key tourist information such as places to eat and drink, the free walking tour and hours when you can see the Mezquita and The Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos for free. I paid €10 my first night. When I wanted to extend for another night, I was charged €11. I was told since there were more people coming in, it would've been €12 but he discounted it €1.
Like almost all hostels in Western Europe, they'll charge to rent a towel so try bringing your own towel. No lockers or secure storage in the dorm rooms but you can ask the reception to store your valuables. Thankfully, there is air conditioning in the dorm rooms. It got quite hot here during my stay in June! My mixed 8-bed dorm room had its own toilet and shower.
My favorite part of the hostel is the rooftop terrace. It's too hot to hang out there (or anywhere outside!) during siesta hours, but great place to meet people when it starts cooling down around 8 or 9pm with a great view of the Mezquita. I met a number of cool people while preparing my dinner in the adjacent kitchen and met others at the terrace. Even got invited by a couple guys to go out for tapas and beers which made for a great last night in Córdoba. read more
