I made a reservation and made a comment that we were celebrating a birthday. We (4 adults) were seated right by the front door and it was a chilly night but luckily the heater was on. We were recommended to try the arancini balls and calamari. The balls were good but the sauce was oddly sweet. The calamari was good. I had the funkatello spritz but it wasn't memorable. For main I had the tagliatelle beef ragu. The pasta was perfectly aldente but again the sauce was disturbingly sweet. I tried my mom's prawn pasta and we again agreed the sauce was too sweet. The chef is apparently originally from Thailand (not Italy) so that may have something to do with it. Definitely not authentic and not very good to me. My aunt got the chicken Marsala which wasn't bad but they couldn't tell us in advance what veggies would accompany it and she didn't like what was given. I reminded them of the birthday celebration and without bringing a dessert menu they brought out apple pie/streusel and ice cream. We don't like pie so mostly had the ice cream and crumble on top. Despite already spending nearly $200 on food and drinks, they charged $11 for this birthday dessert. It was also verrrry loud thanks to other patrons enjoying their time. Not a complaint just a note. All in all I have no idea how this place has such good reviews on Google because I would not recommend it. read more
