They had to cancel one time due to an illness but rescheduled me quickly and without any problems. The price is worth it to me and I don't think it's outrageous for what they do. Given the fact my cat is a picky eater, the limited offerings. Likewise, I noticed very few if any cat treats. This is a store that is pro-dog all the way. We last got our pups groomed in early March so we were lucky enough to keep our previously scheduled appointment, although this time it was run a little differently. Everyone in the shop is masked up. You can go into the building with your pup or call them when you arrive and they'll come to your car to get them. As I've mentioned in previous reviews we've got some immunocompromised folks in our family so we opted for the outside handoff. Quality Grooming staff came out masked up and scooped Oliver and Poppy up for their pampering. A few hours later we got the call that they're ready. We paid for the appointment over the phone and my husband went to go get them. He called when he arrived and they brought them out--lookin' cute, smellin' fresh, and trimmed up all fancy like. They always get a summer shave but this time we got them shaved pretty short so we wouldn't have to go in for another appointment for a few months. I'm grateful they were so accommodating. As long as we humans avoided close contact with the staff (for their protection as well) we felt comfortable bringing our pups in for their appointment. They got their summer cuts and I'm happy to report that they slept in our beds through the night for the first time in a week (they had gotten too floofy which made them get super hot in the bed) so I'm very grateful we could still bring them in. We have a situation where our dog requires 5 different types of eye medication, three times a day in his eyes. So that means someone has to be able to give him the meds at night around 9 or 10. Until I heard about this place, the only place in town who could do this is Petsmart. No other boarding place has someone working there late at night. Cyd told me this wasn't even an issue and of course they'd be able to give him his meds whenever we said he needed them. So it was a non-issue. Unheard of. I spoke to them on the phone a few times and they reassured me Gryff would be in good hands. First off, they take your dog out six times a day. Without a charge. That's just normal and routine. This is UNHEARD OF, people. You're lucky if your dog can be let out more than twice and they get to be outdoors. Not in a room like at Petsmart. You also have the option to let your dog be taken out in a group of other dogs (so they get some play time) or they can go out with just the people. Since our dog is getting a little older, playing with other dogs is hit or miss. To prevent this, they just spent more time with him and said he was great! I've also been told by people at Petsmart that my dog gets put in "time out" because he'd bark at other dogs. He's a mediator. That's a trait of corgis; big dog in a small dog body. But they took it as him being "aggressive" and he wasn't allowed in the group plays. At Pittsfield Pet Care, Cyd told me he was fine. Sure, they spent more time with him than him with other dogs, but they said he was totally fine. I have to trust two people who know and understand dogs over a kid working in a pet store. Dr. Karr is a licensed vet so if something happens there is someone there who will be able to take care of them. This is extremely reassuring. Given our dog's medical history, and a slight toe injury he was getting over, it was good to know he'd be in good hands should anything happen. Bottom line: board your pet here. They're going to be in compassionate dog people who know, understand and love dogs like their own. Their rate is great too ($30/night) and we only had a pay an additional fee per day because of the amount of medicine he needs. The facility is clean, which is a big thing on my list too. Drop-off and Pick-up was a breeze and these two people are two of the most friendly and wonderful people I have met.

She no longer has coffee & treats in the lobby, but I think that's expected as business grows. Every year, Santa & the Easter bunny make an appearance, and you can buy a ticket for your cat to see them! Bernie has been on the nice list for the past three years. This place is super clean. They have cat boarding, and also they just started seeing dogs 1-2 days a week (and those days are dogs-only). If you want top notch boarding & grooming for your cats, this is the place to go. Also, you can just book a nail trim or claw caps or other a-la-cart options.
