We have been taking my parents dogs there to get cleaned up for quite a few years, as Raychel is…read moreAMAZING! She understands that not all dogs are alike, and would make sure to allot enough time in her busy schedule for their three anxiety-ridden pooches (two cocker spaniels and a Bernese mountain dog) to be able to spend the day together! As the big guy has sadly crossed over to the rainbow bridge, it's now just the two bratty rat dogs, who are considered "senior dogs", yet Raychel knows them well enough to know that they have their issues - yet consistently gives them GREAT care and lots of love (and patience!). As for the store, every time I've been in, it was clean and well-stocked. As for the actual company, they unfortunately changed their rewards program and the discounts expire quickly. However, if you are looking for a kind, passionate, and dedicated groomer, go see Raychel at the Ypsi Pet Supplies Plus store - you won't be disappointed! She is AMAZING and your animals will be pampered :)

Their selection of cat food and associated goods leaves a lot to desired to say the least. When I was looking for the usual brands of canned pet food that my cat likes to eat, I was dismayed that Hill's wasn't there, nor was Authority. Other pet stores carry it, but not here. Given the fact my cat is a picky eater, the limited offerings. Likewise, I noticed very few if any cat treats. This is a store that is pro-dog all the way. With only one isle devoted cats, it's way too sided for me.

Your pets are in safe hands if you board with Dr. Karr and Cyd!…read more I boarded our corgi here for the first time ever after my friend (who has also left a review here) raved about Dr. Karr. We have a situation where our dog requires 5 different types of eye medication, three times a day in his eyes. So that means someone has to be able to give him the meds at night around 9 or 10. Until I heard about this place, the only place in town who could do this is Petsmart. No other boarding place has someone working there late at night. Cyd told me this wasn't even an issue and of course they'd be able to give him his meds whenever we said he needed them. So it was a non-issue. Unheard of. I spoke to them on the phone a few times and they reassured me Gryff would be in good hands. First off, they take your dog out six times a day. Without a charge. That's just normal and routine. This is UNHEARD OF, people. You're lucky if your dog can be let out more than twice and they get to be outdoors. Not in a room like at Petsmart. You also have the option to let your dog be taken out in a group of other dogs (so they get some play time) or they can go out with just the people. Since our dog is getting a little older, playing with other dogs is hit or miss. To prevent this, they just spent more time with him and said he was great! I've also been told by people at Petsmart that my dog gets put in "time out" because he'd bark at other dogs. He's a mediator. That's a trait of corgis; big dog in a small dog body. But they took it as him being "aggressive" and he wasn't allowed in the group plays. At Pittsfield Pet Care, Cyd told me he was fine. Sure, they spent more time with him than him with other dogs, but they said he was totally fine. I have to trust two people who know and understand dogs over a kid working in a pet store. Dr. Karr is a licensed vet so if something happens there is someone there who will be able to take care of them. This is extremely reassuring. Given our dog's medical history, and a slight toe injury he was getting over, it was good to know he'd be in good hands should anything happen. Bottom line: board your pet here. They're going to be in compassionate dog people who know, understand and love dogs like their own. Their rate is great too ($30/night) and we only had a pay an additional fee per day because of the amount of medicine he needs. The facility is clean, which is a big thing on my list too. Drop-off and Pick-up was a breeze and these two people are two of the most friendly and wonderful people I have met.

He even checks in as a Vet on my 2 dogs while they are boarding to make sure they always have what they need. I can barely hold the dogs back as they run to the door to get inside. I never have to worry about them. I can't give 10 stars since yelp only allows for 5, but they deserve it. The Mello's
