My husband had a family night work party at Funhaven, so the fam and I tagged along. It was $25 all you can play arcade night (every wednesday), so we had full access to most arcade games with our cards. The games that were not included were the claw machines where you could win giftcards/prizes, and we had zero access to the rides which was kind of a bummer. I was really looking forward to trying out the roller coaster but that would be an additional 18 tokens (Which I believe was around 15 dollars? Don't quote me on that). There was also a jungle gym (think cosmic adventures) but that was extra tokens. I did get quiet tired of the arcade games pretty quickly and some games looked worse for wear. The kids seemed to enjoy it. The cards did have a timer between playing games so that you could not double tap the card. The $25 all you can play game night did NOT let you build up credit to redeem for prizes. We had a party room and cheese pizza. Pizza was your standard pizza. Great for kids, but nothing to write home about. The vibe of Funhaven was more warehouse/concrete vibes. Washrooms were clean. I do wish they had sanitzer bottles placed out around the establishement. I did find myself washing my hands quiet frequently after playing the games (flu season, not taking any chances). My husband has been wanting to check out Funhaven for a while, and I'm glad we did where all expenses were paid for, but I would not rush back. read more

After the last time, during the Yelp event, I knew I have to come again with my kid. Last Sat I fulfilled my promised and returned to the scene of the crime. NOw dont get me wrong me kid loved this place (that's why its a 3 star and not a 2 star) he loved the playground, the crazy8 rollercoaster and like any kid the blinking arcade lights but I saw the whole picture: Many games had the title "out of order", many games that worked were in a bad condition or had issues. This place had definitely seen better days. The owner (/s) decided to go to a different direction and add escape rooms but I really think the arcade itself needs an investment...fast. My friend and I went to Funhaven Ottawa on Mon 30 Dec 19. The executive summary is that there is indeed plenty to keep you and your mates well entertained for an entire afternoon/evening. If you are a keener who must do everything at least once, you will easily be amused for a full day! TIP: check out their website so you can see what daily specials are on and plan your visit accordingly. Check-in using the Yelp App on your Phone to get a digital discount! The bumper cars attraction features just a plain rectangle arena, nothing fancy. The rock climbing wall is intended for a little kids, adults will find it very disappointing. The jungle gym is enormous, the little ones will love it. The indoor roller coaster is also intended for kids. The laser tag is fantastic for everyone! The Foodhaven eatery is a little bit more expensive that a typical mall's food court, but is still cheaper than a movie theatre concession stand. The arcade features a combination of ticket-paying games and arcade (non ticket-paying) video games. Based on the photography shown on their website you might be a little bit disappointed in how big the arcade is. The Escape Rooms were laid out very well. In fact, some of the rooms are hidden in plain sight! Come to where the roller-coaster is situated to make appts to play, when the time comes, check-in a few minutes early and a host will take you to your room. You can also book specific times for these rooms in advance on the website. There are two 10 min Escape Rooms that cost 20 credits: The Crystal Cave is a fantastic room for first-timers, and the Secrets & Spies Mission is a great warm-up to the tougher rooms. There are four 1 hr Escape Rooms that cost 100 credits, of the three that I did: The Ripple Creek (warning: Horror/Murder theme) is the toughest one! Deep Descent and Curse of the Forgotten were loads of fun, challenging, but doable. I didn't do the Rainforest Renegades. These Escape Rooms are no different than any Escape Rooms elsewhere, once you've done it once, you'll likely never want to do it again. Good times!!! read more

Our family used to spend a ton of time at Funhaven when it was actually fun. Everything used to be family friendly and the prices used to be great and the staff were top notch. The new prices are way too expensive. $10 for a 3 minute ride is ridiculous. The best part used to be the jungle gym with all the ball canons when it was free. It hasn't worked in years and they have been overcharging even though it's broken. All the classic games like skiball are gone, replaced with quick cash grab games to get tickets and get you to spend more $$$. When they changed the bumper cars ride to no longer allow 2 people per car they didn't even bother to update their website. I was informed by staff only after paying and trying to ride the bumper cars. read more

Booked a Premium Birthday package for ten 7 year olds on the way to turning 8. On advice, booked in for an early (10:30am) on a summer weekend when it isn't supposed tonne too busy. Everything was great! The Funhaven-provided host was ready greet out group early and get the kids excited. Support staff was also great to direct any later guest arrivals to the group afterwards. I was the only parent attending, and really, it felt like the whole party would have gone just as smoothly without me. That being said, I got to participate in all the games and had a lot of fun too! Our schedule went greetings, super jungle gym, bumper cars, roller coaster, wind tunnel for Birthday person, laser tag multiple times, and then birthday time with pizza, cake, froyo, and then present time. All told, it went from about 10:30 to 1. The kids then got free reign of the arcade area and unlimited access to the bumper cars and jungle gym. We ended up staying until about 3:30 with everyone exhausted by the end. Overall, the value seemed more than reasonable for what initially seemed pricey when booking. The host service really made the party with jokes and stories and ensuring all had fun. A memorable experience for all, and a non-stress event for the host family. Would definitely recommend it. Two things guaranteed to make me smile arcades and good food. On a recent trip to Ottawa I was in need of an arcade since Montreal is lacking. Opened up my trusty yelp app and boom this place came up in the recommendations. When we got here we had to fill up a card with tokens that could be used on the machines similar to many swipe card games you can find in a variety of places. Lucky for us helpers get a little something special once they check in here. Once loaded up we proceeded to walk around the space and see what games I would be taking down. There was good variety of games of different genres and difficulties which was nice and they even had an avoid the laser room and small coaster. I stuck to more arcade style games since I'm a sucker for coupons and prizes I was a little disappointed to see that a few of the games were out or order one in particular was the DDR machine but over all a pretty decent place not to far from home. My kids love Funhaven. Games where you can earn tickets and redeem for prizes at the counter. They use cards which can be loaded very easily. For those games that still require tokens, they have machines where you can swipe you card and it dispenses tokens for you to use. Even your tickets get loaded back on the same card as credits which saves all the hassle of trying to keep them tickets all folded up and in a pocket. Most of the games are geared towards earning tickets so if you're looking for an arcade or lots of arcade games, you've come to the wrong place. Prices are also reasonable for the games. The space is also generous so you're not really always bumping into people. Other activities include a jungle gym, bumper cars, laser tag, mini bowling, and a rock climbing wall. Keep in mind these activities are geared towards younger children and pre-teens. There's also a small separate play area for toddlers so they don't get trampled on by the older kids. For these aforementioned activities, you can purchase each individually or purchase a combo and save a little money. Weekend rates for these activities are more expensive during the weekend. They also do birthday parties. The staff were great. I had some issues with a couple machines and they helped me out without question. Expect to spend a decent amount of money especially if you have more then 1 child. I think too that with the card system you tend to forget how much you're really spending. There's also a canteen where you can buy food and drinks. Parking is free if you can find it in the lot. I come here often with my boyfriend for fun date nights as the location is great for us. We definitely enjoy playing the arcade games and collecting tickets but are often disappointed by the many out of order signs everywhere. The basketball game was out of order for a few months before they finally just removed it all together. The games don't always issue the correct number of tickets which is frustrating if you're super competitive like I am and have your sights set on some Pokémon prizes! The staff is really friendly and I have yet to encounter any rude employees. They always have a smile on their faces and generally seem to be in a good mood, which is rare because who's ever in a good mood at work?! When I go to Funhaven I typically just play the arcade style games but I have done the laser tag once which was great! They also have a pretty epic Connect 4 game! This place would definitely get 5 stars from me if it was kept up a bit more and there were more food options. Still a great place to enjoy yourself and have fun no matter how old you are! read more

It was my first time here and I thoroughly had a good time. We tried one of the escape rooms and it it was unexpectedly tricky in a good way. I will definitely be going back to try the other ones. The bumper cars were fun and there's also an indoor roller coaster that's pretty neat. I will say that the arcade section could use a few more variety but they also have laser tag in the same location so you won't run out of things to do! Hasnt been updated in years. I last visited fun haven about 3 years ago when I would have given 4 stars. Now this place is a dump. It's so expensive to get a "package" and half the arcade games are broken. Guitar hero buttons don't work on one guitar and the strap is broken.so unless you're 6 years old. Or perhaps you like playing guitar like a violin it's gonna suck... So many games were out of order, or just simply let you swipe and pay and then didn't work. Must have spent a 1/3 of the money on the loaded card on games that didn't work. Impossible to cash out your points when leaving because theres only ever 1 person at the desk and they are booking people in for so long. Doesn't seem to be enough staff on at all. As a side note it would be awesome to see some hand sanitizer stations around. My hands felt really grimey after. Lots of oily games and such read more

I had a birthday party for my son at Funhaven on Saturday, December 17th. our time in the party room was from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The service was the absolute worst I have ever experienced. The staff was completely incompetent. They brought us the pizza we ordered and proceeded to leave without informing us of when the cake we brought in would be served. When the cake was brought in, there were no plates or utensils. We sat there waiting to serve the cake for quite some time. When we finally got plates and utensils, we barely had time to eat our cake. It was all a rush. Then Funhaven staff gave my son's gifts to the wrong family. All the gifts were handed to Guest Services when our 10 guests arrived. My son's gifts were allegedly given to another family who was refusing to give the gifts back. After getting the run around by 4 different Funhaven staff members, the owner of Funhaven still refuses to offer me a full refund. I was offered a partial refund of the $500.08 I spent there for the party, and the rest on Funhaven gaming cards. My son, who has been diagnosed with ADHD right at the beginning of Covid, is now traumatized. He wanted nothing but a Funhaven birthday party to make up for not having a party due to lockdowns and the pandemic. To date, the owner has yet to accept responsibility and rectify the atrocious mistakes made by several of his Funhaven staff. Not only was the party service poor, they left my son devastated because he did not have a single gift to open on his actual birthday, which was the day after the party. He has been sad ever since. These people not only ruined his party, but their shameful actions have left my son sad, upset and traumatized. They claim that my son only received 4 gifts because that is what they saw on their surveillance footage. However, it was 10 from his friends and siblings, and one from me his mom. Guests arrived at different times and that's why it appears that only 4 gifts were received. But it was in fact 11 gifts. Given that the owner is refusing to offer me a full refund, I am now having to work with MasterCard to get my money back. I would advise anyone thinking of hosting an event at Funhaven to find somewhere else. Do not spend a dime at a business that would refuse to recognize their failure to deliver the service paid for by their customer. I am taking to social media next, Sean O'Shea at Global News for a consumer SOS segment, and then small claims court. Funhaven management and staff have traumatized and hurt a little kid with special needs, who did not deserve to have the worse birthday party experience of his life. Stay away from this HORRENDOUS place! I know that neither myself, my family, or friends, would ever go back to Funhaven again! WORST customer service EVER!!! read more

Fun haven staff are permitted to speak disrespectfully to there customers. I am one of them (customers) that have been spoken to in such a manner on a few occasions.. . being a person who does not tolerate sub-standard service, I retaliated with some disrespectfull opinions to the staff member who bestowed upon me such mal treatment. I used colorful language and expressed my discontent directly to the staff member. .. then proceeded to have a calm conversation regarding the incident with the floor manager of the day. The issue was resolved and I continued to enjoy the facility with my child as we regularly did. .. here I am a few weeks later being telephoned by the GM and Owner being told I have been permanently banned. In my opinion because of my large stature and appearance there has been prejudice displayed in the decision making process regarding my banning from the facility... by persons who were not present at the facility nor had engaged myself to hear about my experience prior to their judgement. If the company has the integrity to allow this opinion to remain for your viewing. I encourage those of you who may want to visit funhaven to remember this review and that there is zero tolerance at funhaven if you refuse to take there young inexperienced staff disrespectful attitudes. read more

Funhaven is a lot of fun. My friend and I got here earlier, and have sampled most of what this place has to offer. We've done a couple of escape room, the roller coaster, some arcade games, the bumper cars. Haven't done lazer tag yet, but maybe later. This place can entertain for about 4-5 hours without getting too stale. If you've never tried an escape room but are curious about them, Funhaven has a couple of relatively easy 10 minute rooms that are not too expensive that will give you a taste. read more

Funhaven was fun, but definitely gets pricey extremely quickly. I spent $20 on games for my little brother and myself. Not more than 15 minutes had passed and I was putting in another $20. This place is nice but not so great for young toddlers. The play area/ball pit is hard to follow them around and there are these big things that shoot balls and are super loud. Scared the crap put out of my son and we had to leave after they turned them on. Great for older kids! read more
