If you have children, then you already know how important it is to find a way to occupy their time on weekends. Otherwise, you will PAY! Anyhow, I heard about this place called Cosmic Adventures and decided to take my daughter there one weekend. Man, what a DEAL (yes, that is the real bottom line for parents). For $13, your little demon child can run themselves ragged in a HUGE indoor playland. It is like a McDonald's playland, but eight times bigger. There are tubes, ballrooms, mazes, climbing areas...everything your child needs to stay active and activate their imagination. My daughter loved it and I plan to get a membership and go back regularly - especially when the weather heads south and you can't take them running inside the house anymore!

It's fun for the kids to play on the jungle gym, but skip the food . It's expensive, not very good, and the food service is even worse

Saunders Farm - Inside the Circus Macabre.

Saunders Farm

(20 reviews)

TL;DR: It's a farm-themed amusement park for kids by day and by night leading up to Halloween it's…read moreone of those haunted house horror screamfest experiences, lol. Saunders Farm is not a place that I would go of my own accord because It's too far outside of the city for me and I like neither farms nor horror experiences. However, I found myself going there with my husband, a friend and the friend's two kids. Overall, it was not as bad as I thought it would be, lol. We went during the day in September, so my review is of the farm-themed amusement park. General admission was $29 a person. I think they are only open September through December with it being most popular around Halloween. There were a few mazes, haunted houses that you walk through, and lots of play structures. There was also a zipline, which the kids did, but I did not. The zipline is not included in the general admission and was an additional $15 a person. They also had tractor rides, a Harvest one that was scenic and not meant to be scary and a Haunted one which had a few scares. They also had a big bouncy area like a bouncy castle but no walls or ceiling. They also had puppet shows, a theatre show and a monster parade. They have carnival games where you shoot cans, toss rings and things like that for prizes. There are no roller coasters or bumper cars. They have a few gift shops with very overpriced items. The candy store had no prices on the candy and our friend bought a few pop rocks, airheads and a lollipop for his kids and it was over $20. They have a few different places to eat as well. A few sit down restaurants and a few food court vendors where you take your food and eat at one of the picnic tables on the grounds. I had chicken tenders at "What the Cluck?" and it was $14 for 3 small chicken tenders and some fries. I was happy that the chicken tenders were real chicken breast meat and although they were small, they tasted good. The fries were nice and crispy too. The only thing I didn't like is staff dump the fries from the fryer into a large metal holding container and when customers ordered fries I saw staff grabbing the fries with their bare hands putting them into the paper containers and giving them to the customers. I'd think that would be hot and uncomfortable for staff, not to mention unhygienic for customers. The guy handling the chicken used tongs to place the chicken in the container, but fries guy bare handed it! WTF! Use some tongs or wear gloves, please. My husband got a Pogo with fries $10 at "Pogos + Poutine." This is where our friend and his kids got food as well. "Pogos + Poutine" and "What the Cluck?" have different menus but they share the same kitchen space. So their fries were handled by bare hands guy too. Overall, I think Saunders Farm is good for kids and families during the day. I can't speak to their Frightfest that happens at night. There's free parking on the grounds. It's plentiful, but not paved. (155)

This is a review for Frightfest!…read more I came on a Sunday evening with a few friends. Tickets were purchased in advance and were pricier than I thought it would be $60 each. I think if you bought them further in advance, there was a possibility to get 15% off. This was my first time visiting Saunder's farm and I was really impressed. Super scary and well-planned haunted houses! I think this would make a good night out for groups We came on a rainy and cold night and it was pretty busy. Lines for the haunted houses were between 10-45 minutes each. It was overall very organized and fun! Not for the very young (too scary) or if you have walking difficulties (it was muddy and slippery so definitely could potentially fall). Would definitely come again!

Visited Calypso Waterpark for the 1st time!…read more Wait times are extremely long on the weekends, waited 2 hours to get onto the lazy river. Food was average but pretty expensive, paid $66 for 4 beers & nacho's. The wait times are honestly worse than Canada's Wonderland in GTA, not well organized for efficiency. What's the point of buying tickets online if they overpack the park anyways? Lined up for the Boomerang ride with tons of others in line at 4:50pm, 2 people out of our group of 7 needed to go to the washroom & stepped out for a few minutes while 5 were waiting in line. When they came back, security walked into the line to remove them because they got notice from one lifeguard. Right before this, we witnessed another lifeguard telling another family that if they had others waiting in the line, they could re-join the line. Wasn't happy with this unfair treatment at all. Descent variety of rides & we still had fun as a group (thus the 3-star and not 1).

It's about 1.45 hour drive from Montreal, don't drive to quick all you eager beavers because once you get in to Ontario the speed limit changes. You're charged 10$ for parking and 10$ to rent a locker ( yes they take cards ) You are not allowed to bring in booze so keep that in mind when you're packing you're cooler. (They do have a few bars on site but don't know the prices) Bathrooms are hidden behind the locker room shack FYI AQUALOOPS .... Do you have nerves of steel? Ready to take on G-force speeds? The cabin door shuts and you feel a rush of excitement. 3, 2, 1...The trap door suddenly swings open and gravity pulls you down at over 60 km/h! In less than 2 seconds, you go from 0 to 2.5Gs. How's that for fast? You won't even have time to scream and the next second you're laying down at the bottom of the slide confused as ever. Amazing ! KONGO EXPEDITION .... An old legend has it that there is a mystery at the end of this wave river. What could it be? Jump on a giant inner tube and let the waves transport you through an unexplored world. Deserted islands, flooded caves and raging waterfalls await during this thrilling adventure! Watch out for the exotic animals, reptiles and sneaky primates along the way! Best 15 minutes i spent on a ride all day. TURBO LAB .... i went down the acid test which was a tube for two people that spins and spins around once you get to the middle you go down a little slide and in to a pool. CALYPSO PALCE ..... Canada's largest wave pool ! Waves reach up to 1.8 meters high when you go all the way to the front. You will hear a sound go off and people will start screaming meaning the waves are about to start. There is smoking sections on site and yes you can now go topless for those of you who have been following the news and no I did not see anyone topless lol. All and all it was a great day FYI keep ur tickets or receipts as you can go back a second day for a whopping $12 only.

My kids, my nephews, and my brothers in laws went and it was a great experience. The luge only happens from noon-2pm, so plan accordingly. It was SO fun. You first select your helmet. Then you take the specific gondola up to the start of the track. You basically get a 2 second tutorial on how to brake, then off you go! The first minute, there are some stops and turns before they let you start on the real track. It's really cool because you're pretty high up so you get a view to your left. Then you wind through some forests on the side. I think I was surprised by how fast you can go, but also how well the plastic vehicles handle. Just be careful. I got a douchebag who veered past me just as we were about to enter a slow zone with road blocks. He almost collided with me. I stopped to let him through. In any case, the course takes about 5 minutes, but it's actually surprisingly satisfying because of the many turns. You pay $12 I think for the first run, but you can do it many times for a discounted price. Honestly, it's kind of scary, and I'm not sure I would let a 10 year old on this thing.

My kids had a great time. We visit a lot of play places, and while I've heard some people complain about the price (around $25 per child), I think it's very reasonable since you can stay and play for the entire day. The memberships are also well-priced in my opinion, especially since they are open daily, the visits are unlimited and they're valid for a full year. The staff were friendly, and all of the equipment appeared to be in good working order. The space is small enough to easily supervise your children, but still large enough to keep them entertained. In my opinion, it's best suited for kids up to about age 8. There isn't a food menu, but the snack prices are very reasonable (e.g., $0.50 for juice, $1 for water, $1.75 for chips). Many similar places tend to overcharge for these items. I also called ahead and was told it was fine to bring my own coffee, which I appreciated. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of food options. That said, I understand space is limited and that food is available for parties.
