When you enter a room where children are playing, you hear a strong smell from the toilet, even if the door is closed. This situation in every room! It is not normal. If even in large shopping centers, where a large flow of people maintain cleanliness and the complete absence of unpleasant odors, then in kindergarten this must be observed too! 2.The toys have not been updated for a long time, an unpleasant impression was created. Its all very old... 3.They also promised to send me an e-mail link to establish application on the phone, through which I can watch how my son spent time in kindergarten (photo or video), but no one sent anything. We also agreed with the manager that he would send me an email through which I could enroll my son in kindergarten and I did not receive any emails. 4. When I entered the room, the sanitizer was standing on the children's table, where the child can easily take it and the caregivers did not control it. It's not safe. Children can get in their eyes or taste it... All workers are very smiling and polite, but managers definitely need to pay a lot of attention to cleanliness in toilets and communication via email.

Little Minds is a hidden gem conveniently located near the Crystal Lake/Pingree Road Metra stop. Only having been open for a few months, the place is clean, spacious, and welcoming all throughout. The teachers are nurturing, knowledgeable and accommodating (except for one elderly woman who is cold and never greets my family - thankfully NOT in my son's classroom) to my 2-year-old's mood changing needs. The director has been very flexible with our family when we decided to change our schedule. My husband and I like that there is an indoor play area (i.e., slides, ride on toys, etc.) for those extreme weather days. I also like how one of the teachers incorporates a baking/cooking lesson daily with the students. The only TEMPORARY downside is, because this daycare is new, the enrollment is low. My family has very HIGH hopes that Little Minds will grow in the next few months with more exposure. We literally pass a "big shot" daycare, that is 5 minutes from our home, to get here, and you couldn't pay our family to go to that one! If you are in search for a new daycare in the Crystal Lake and surrounding area, come check this place out!

Here's why: Mrs. Wiklund and Mrs. Aronoff are top notch teachers (this comes from a very picky teacher mom) who treat the kids with love and respect, but also have clear expectations for behavior and procedures. They use gentle reminders and redirecting to get kids back on track, techniques I appreciate after witnessing more negative approaches elsewhere. There's a perfect balance of free choice time and structured learning activities. Your child will be ready for kindergarten after spending time with these pros. They also offer a couple of field trips and speakers visit the classroom often. The teacher/student ratio is also amazing! Creative Beginnings takes the cake on Schaumburg preschools.
