The kids loved the bounce house and it was bigger than we expected. However a few things we've noticed. We noticed the person we've met came with an older gentleman to help setup the bounce house and he was rude to him asking him to hurry up and poor gentleman was doing his best. As a business owner I think it's important to take care of your people and I think he was a little harsh on him. Also when it was time to pick up the bounce house he told us he was coming but we never gave him permission to enter the property. He decided to just walk in like he owned the place. He should have asked if he could walked in but he just saw that the lock was open and he thought it was an open invitation. We have 4 dogs and if wasn't careful they could have gone out. So nice we went twice. Planned a First bday for Mini 2.0 at a local park. Santee requires a city permit and they provide a list of approved vendors for inflatable bouncy houses and other rented party equipment. Fun Bounce is on that vendor list and they provided the bouncy for our older daughter's bday a couple of years before. I think it was even the same guy that helped out for both occasions. Sean? I have to say that they have probably lost my business permanently not because of the bumping but because these guys were so good. We ordered the 15x15 jumper, received email confirmation with pictures the day before. The jumper was everything we expected and looked brand new. Drop off was exactly at the time they stated, and the employee (Sean?) was super polite. The topper to all of this was they were a little early for pick up but waited out side in the truck and did not bother us. Followed the instructions online and picked a bounce house and a time frame for them to deliver it.. no biggie right... oh and we PRE-PAID for it, $189.00 for the bounce house and the $25.00 delivery charge, which oh by the way, our location was on their drop down box option for delivery. So a few days later I receive this e-mail... ________________________________________________________________________ I am looking at the reservation that you placed online. The 3rd of May is a very busy day (we are already turning away people for that date). The times of your rental is 10 to 4. You put an early as 9:30 time for delivery. This won't work. Your location is far out for us. For me to be able to attempt to schedule this, I will need a delivery time for as early as 7 am the day of the event (or even possibly a delivery the day before if going into a backyard or other type of secure location.) Please let me know if these are options or if I need to cancel the reservation. Sorry for the inconvenience. They clearly did not try to work things out with us, they threw away good business and basically crapped all over their customer!!!! Which oh by the way I was at work all day and never even spoke with this person. _______________________________________________________________________ I cant believe you were threatening me or implying it when all I was doing is giving you a heads up that your times were possibly creating a situation due to your distance. In all my years I have never been treated this way and I don't deserve that attitude. Other companies would just call the day before or the day of and you would be stuck last minute looking for something. An online reservation system is no more than a holding service. The computer shows you what is available and allows for it to be reserved. It is not a guarantee until we have received it and processed it. If a 100 people put in an order for a 7 am start time do you think we have the ability to complete those orders? No, and therefore it is not valid until we confirm by our office staff. As for cancellation policy, there is one section I saw right away and it reads: Our Policies Safety is our primary concern. With that in mind, FunBounce reserves the right to cancel any reservation that, in the opinion of the Fun Bounce representative, it deems a danger or jeopardizes safety in any way. Having our driver have to race to fit your delivery into a 30 minute window definitely qualifies as a possible safety violation depending on how the schedule is. Since I do have the option to cancel, I am going to be true to my word and see how the schedule is. If I determine that it is not able to be completed in a safe and timely manner then I will have no choice but to cancel and refund your deposit. The amount of time it takes for a refund is unknown since we do not have control over the refund times.
