I can't bring myself to go in here and it's sad. Good product selection and lots of inventory but…read morethe customer service is so bad, I'd rather just drive down the street to WalMart. I'm looking at my 3 receipts from TT ( all within the past 3 weeks) so they probably remember - maybe not- 1.) 370.87 2.) 247.81 3.) 301.49 This place, you walk in and all of the sales people just look at you like you're going to rob the place. No hello, "What's going on" - just stares. The last time I went in -June 13 2025 - I can't remember- maybe 100.00 bucks total. I go up to the counter, put my stuff on and the old dude goes " what?" With this look on his face like I just asked for all the contents of his cash register. " how's it going?" Says I " oh, yeah" he says - "is this it?" " he says. It's that moment I decided I would never spend another dollar in this place. It's like the tourist trap of retail fish and hunting supply. And don't even get me started on how nasty the female sales gal was 2 weeks ago. I get it you hate working here but I can't help that! Find another job. Go back to school! I hate walking in to a place excited to spend a few dollars on things I need for a weekend of fishing and kinda get the whole good vibes broken by a place like this - Sales Associates? Get your backsides off the counter and find something to do on the sales floor . I'd fire them all and start over

I took my boat to them to have a battery switch installed and a trim tab actuator replaced. Terry, the owner, quoted me, "600 or 700 hundred dollars", and seemed irritated that he had to give me a ballpark idea of cost. I'm sorry I guess but if you don't ask for an approximate cost, things could get really ugly. I gave him the go ahead understanding that it would be 600 or 700 hundred dollars as he quoted. I understand that it might be as high as 800 and pretty much counted on that because surely if it was anything higher I would get a phone call for approval. I know this from owning and operating an outdoor power equipment dealership and service facility for a number of years. Well I just got a phone call from Terry at Seaworthy letting me know my boat was ready and that the tab was 1200 dollars.... not quite the 600 or 700 he quoted, double that. No phone call, just a 1200 dollar bill. He also seemed really upset and defensive when I had the nerve to ask him why the bill was double the quote. Maybe he's having some personal issues and I'm just catching him at a bad time but his response was disproportionate to my simple question. I guess what was disappointing to me is that I've always liked Seaworthy and now I just don't feel like I'd ever do business with them again. In short, take any ballpark estimate from him as just that, a BALLPARK estimate. May not even be the same ballpark, lol! Oh well...

Let me start by saying the 2 stars are because the kayaks provided were nice and the area we were…read moretaken to was fun to kayak in. However, everything else about the kayak/fishing guide service was a nightmare. When we arrived to the area the guy gave us a quick run-down of what we were going to do and a straight-forward tutorial on how the turning system on the kayak works. That was fine. Next, he told us to drag the kayaks into the water, get in, and start paddling. Also fine. It was a little rocky to start and took awhile to get going, but we made our way towards the fishing spot in the flats with no issues. Once we arrived, he told us we could start casting and we would make our way down depending on how the fishing went. In the first hour, my lure got stuck in some brush on the bank and I had to retrieve it myself because our guide had paddled out in front of us and couldn't hear me call for him. Once he noticed, he came over and snapped at me to get back in the kayak because I was going to get cut up by oysters, which is understandable but would not have been an issue if he hadn't gone so far ahead. In the second hour, the other girl in our group who had been struggling with maneuvering and balancing the whole time tipped her kayak. The guide paddled over to her and proceeded to yell at her while they got her back in her kayak. The remainder of the trip was spend paddling and looking for fish. The guide was pretty passive aggressive and snappy the whole time. It seemed as though we had inconvenienced him by booking our trip with his company. Not the best experience. We had a total of maybe 5 bites the whole time, but none of the fish were keepers. We walked away with 2 large red drum that had been killed by boat propellers. To put it shortly, this guy is rude. The equipment was great. The flats were pretty. But the whole experience was tainted by the guide's attitude. We didn't pay hundreds of dollars to be snapped at for half a day.

Let me be clear here. The stars are for the kayak only…read more We came to this location excited to rent a kayak and see the beautiful area up close. When we walked in we were greeted by two adorable dogs, however, one of the dogs peed on my foot. I was wearing flip flops so it got on my actual foot. Gross. No apologies or anything for that. Then the woman who helped us, dirty blond curly hair, was kind of passive aggressive. She basically assumed we were beginners and ignored my husband when he said "Oh well we're not beginners. We've done this a bunch of times." She seemed put off when we didn't know where we wanted to kayak. UHH we are not from the area and do not know a single effing thing about it. YOU DO though so why don't YOOOUU offer some suggestions. SO she did. She suggested an area for beginners. Ugh. She then asked this man if he "wouldn't mind bringing the kayaks to the drop off location for them. As long as you don't mind." The man seemed suuuper aggravated by the question and mere thought of doing something for us. Wow, I'm sorry did we interrupt your day?? Talk about awkward and terrible service! They charge $43 for a kayak rental for 4 hours! $43! When we lived right outside of San Diego we could pay $15 for two hours or $30 for ALL DAY. NOW granted, the other a$$holes in the area charge upwards of $60 to rent their kayaks (are these kayaks made out of gold? do they have an engine?) so $43 was much more affordable. I just couldn't believe it. You Texans looooove to charge astronomical prices for extracurricular activities. On to the kayak. The kayak was wonderful! The seats were great and there was no shortage of leg room. It got us around the inlet flawlessly. When the woman came to get the kayak she was a little more friendly and thanked us for renting the kayak from them. I'm a pretty easy going gal so I decided I'd excuse the earlier behavior. We'd rent from them again, maybe next time they'll be more pleasant.

Definitely not like those cheesy, overpriced shops you'll find in Port Aransas that all sell the same exact stuff. However...I am not going to say it is not overpriced - because it definitely is. I found the cutest swimsuit top and it was somewhere around $70! I did give in and bought some Reef cushiony flip flops (and my mom bought a pricey pair as well). They were $40 which is what you would expect to pay for Reef...three hours into wearing the shoes, the cushion part started ripping and after 2 days it looks like I've had these beat up flippies for years! Technically I can't be mad at the store, but rather should be more mad at Reef. It is really, really frustrating though. Overall, though, they have a wide variety of (expensive) clothes, stuff for guys, girls, kids, home decor, lots of shoes, knick-knacks, jewelry and more. Also, the salesgirl shamelessly plugged Charlotte Plummes as a great place to get lunch at. Apparently the two places are affiliated/owned by the same people. It turned out alright, though, because we did have a great lunch there...but something doesn't sit right with me when one pair of flip flops costs the same as lunch (which included 2 alcoholic drinks)
