In approximately August 2025, I was awakened around 3:30 a.m. with extreme left shoulder pain so severe that I had to go to the emergency room. X-rays of my neck and shoulder showed an issue at C5/C6. I originally scheduled an appointment with Fulton County Orthopedic Surgeons. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely dismissed. I stood at the check-in window for over four minutes while the employee behind the glass looked up at me multiple times and did not acknowledge me. I attempted to find assistance elsewhere and was directed right back to the same window, where I was again ignored for several more minutes before she finally asked if she could help. I eventually saw a nurse practitioner who immediately dismissed my shoulder as a possible source of pain and decided it was "definitely" my neck based solely on the X-rays. When I suggested that an MRI of both the shoulder and cervical spine would be the appropriate way to confirm the source of the pain, she claimed that my insurance would only cover imaging for one area and that If they asked her she would tell them to image the neck. I have good insurance and found it inappropriate for a nurse practitioner to make assumptions about my coverage while also attempting to limit diagnostic evaluation. When I stated that I would be upset if only my neck were imaged without fully ruling out the shoulder, it became clear that my concerns were not being taken seriously. If I could leave a negative amount of stars I would! By the end of the visit, I had lost all confidence in the care being provided and chose to seek treatment elsewhere. My husband was taken over to the ER at FCHC this week and I cannot begin to give praise for the dedicated staff in the ER. The first person we saw was very helpful and friendly. She assisted us immediately. Thank you to Dr Taylor for his compassion and professionalism and quick response to my husband's problems. We felt reassured speaking with him. Another thank you to Haylee in ER who went above and beyond in her kindness shown. I wish I had all the nursing staff names since they were absolutely exceptional and comforting during that time spent in the ER. I noticed too the cleanliness and attentiveness of everyone in the ER. I am thankful that FCHC is part of our local caring medical community. read more

I have taken Family to the Emergency Room several times and we were more than satisfied with the care we received. Diagnosis was fast and accurate. The facility was very clean and everyone was so nice. read more

Was verbally assualted by a provider and blown off by management and HR who are still having issues with this provider today.. Not worth it. I was treated beyond poorly by this facility. My grievance meant nothing to them which legally they should have investigated. Sad thing is? It's happening to more staff but management just cares about themselves. read more

Fulton County Health Center is a calm, clean, friendly, small, rural hospital. Beautiful facility. Helpful staff. Individualized care. Evidence based practice. Bedside reporting between shifts includes the patient in the treatment plan. I'm an RN with over 20 years experience, much of it in a large urban teaching hospital setting. I'm impressed. read more

If i could leave 0 stars i would. I went to the e.r. the nurses were rude in the room. When they left the room i heard them talking about me. They "forgot" to put me in a gown. When they did put me into a gown they made sure my curtains were open didn't shut the door and called out when people went past " she needs her but checked out!"They also did not come into the room when the male dr came into check me alone. I would normally not have a problem of a male dr being in a room alone however where he checked there should always be a nurse in the room!!! read more

Been in the ER for 3 hrs waiting on information on a family member. Ask every hr for an update and 0 information given. Have seen multiple people come and go and I have no information. A vet clinic gives better information than this institution. The folks at the reception desk don't even try. Had this similar thing happen a year ago. Spent 4 hours here and told they wanted to transfer me for observation even though they said there was nothing wrong. Not even good to come here for a band aid. My goodness this couldn't be a worse run facility. Also there is a mask policy but not being enforced. FCHC is keeping the pandemic rolling so they can stay in business. read more

I have had my children at FCHC and received the utmost care. Nurses were always attentive, considerate and kind. My husband was recently in FCHC for 2 weeks, due to Covid. The nurses and doctors were very professional. One Raspatory Therapist was rushed and almost tore out his oxygen line as he was leaving room. My husband yelled to him to stop. Outpatient surgery for ruptured Achilles tendon April 24, 2019 by Dr. Adams, podiatrist. Scheduled for 9 a.m.; expected 2 p.m. release time. Check in went without a hitch. CRNA arrived shortly prior to surgery for ultrasound guided nerve block. Dr. Adams arrived shortly after and we went to surgery. In recovery spoke to Dr Adams and requested pain meds. He informed me he knew I was in pain because during surgery he asked me if I was experiencing pain and I informed him I was. He said normally people respond NO. He ordered additional pain meds and said the nerve block failed as administered numbing meds by CRNA were administered erroneously. Therefore, (a different) CRNA, accompanied by first CRNA, both returned to recovery room and performed additional ultrasound guided numbing. He also explained to his coworker the correct route for administration of numbing agent into Achille's tendon. This time, I could not feel or move my toes 15 minutes post-numbing. While numb requested to use bedpan. Nurse in recovery informed me I could walk in hard cast to restroom. Returning from bathroom horrified to look down and see we were standing in a pool of my blood. Cast soaked through. Nurse immediately called Dr. Adams. Argument ensued (speaker phone) ending in Dr. Adams hanging up on her. Elevated foot in interim. Approximately 530 p.m. (closing time of his practice next door) Dr Adams arrived, removed my cast, cleaned off blood, removed and reapplied stitches, apologized profusely and informed me I never should have walked on cast coming out of surgery. I will never have any procedures at this hospital again. Nothing short of a disaster. read more
