Wonderful WONDERFUL hosts.. they took the extra time with you as a guest and really expressed how much they wanted to ensure a great stay.. just great people and we so appreciate them! I called about 3 hours out and had the friendliest response from Patty. This will be your best stop along this route and you will enjoy the peace and tranquility along with the best hospitality! Great pride is clearly taken in the grounds, the pull-through sites upkeep and showers/restrooms... everything! Todd (I think) led us to our site and answered all questions, also filled us in with some other info that was both interesting and useful.. clearly just loves people and creating the best experience possible for them. It was affordable with Good Sam Discount and definitely would stay here every time we pass through again!

We thought we were being diligent, just not diligent enough, and we were so glad we spent one more day where we were before coming to the Double Nickel. That was the first kindness. The park is very clean, well laid out, and has great amenities. There is a security gate, pool, video games, and my favorite, large wooden swing at each camp site. Nice people and well maintained park.

Came across York KAMPground that we arrived at around 3a. Was able to make an online reservation even though it was after office hours. They have a phone number on the board when you first drive in, I called and left a message letting them know we came through and paid online. I chose 12p because it was the earliest time for the day so it sounded like our reservation unfortunately didn't show up on their end first thing in the morning (which was understandable). One of the ladies (sorry I'm bad with names!) came over as we were getting everything together to keep driving and checked in with us. Let her know that we paid online. She was nice and found our reservation/payment & also gave us a AAA discount for having AAA. Coming back, we ended up pulling through around 5a and did the same thing. Had no issues (I made the reservation starting the day before because it was before midnight when we decided that was going to be our stop). We stayed at a total of 3 RV hookup places during this trip- 2 being Love's and the 3rd being York. Although it was the shortest amount of sleep (check out is 12p) it was the best sleep I got both times. The park was quiet and peacefully "dark". Not a bunch of parking lot lights. You do have the freeway close by but we had a plug in fan we use for air circulation so it helped with sound even though it wasn't anything obnoxious. There were plenty of hook up and non hook up spots allowing us to choose one not right up against another visitor out of respect for their space since it was available. They have showers you can use that's included in your reservation. I believe they had WiFi too but we were too wiped to utilize it lol. Clean park. Price was reasonable. We drove extra time just to stay there the second time as other places closer at that moment, were higher or not as after hours friendly. Would recommend if you're in the area!

They had a graduation the day we came in but they had a nice & clear message on what to do. The park is right off of I-80 and close to restaurants and gas stations. The road going to the park is gravel and a bit rough but doable. The office is right at the entrance and the night drop has clear instructions. Where we pulled in, our site wasn't level. That could be easily fixed to make us happy campers. I would definitely recommend going here for the night. It's fast, no hassle and, surprisingly, quiet-even off the interstate. It's not perfect but the value is good, people are nice and fast in and out. Note: we called a park closer on our route but they tried to convince us to get a larger site. So, we came here instead. Happy we did.

I needed quarters the next morning for laundry and could only get one roll of quarters from the same desk clerk....I know they have buckets of quarters from the washing machines ...so that seemed pretty unaccommodating. Just about everything a camper needs. And not far from the town itself. It's definitely a family affair as his son has a cash 'candy bar' for those with a sweet tooth! We pulled into the campground without any reservation, the girl at the front desk was extremely nice! She explained where everything was, gave us a map, and put us right in front of the beach! Every site has a concrete pad, which is super easy to level your RV, waterl, sewer, and electric! We also received a good same discount. The price was amazing. Very affordable. The showers, restroom and laundry facilities are all in one location. Everything is very clean. The place is very quiet. If you bring your bikes, there are miles of bicycle trails around the camp ground, and the archway which is all connected by bike or road. I would highly recommend.

There was trash everywhere and in the water. There was a large roll off dumpster that was filled with all kinds of trash that was spilling out of the end. It did not feel safe, and we did not find the bathrooms until the next morning. They were sort of ok, but not very clean and the showers were not good. I would not recommend this place at all.
