The front lobby is inviting but basic. We didn't do breakfast but it was available until 930. I was up working until 430 in the room though. Rooms are clean and well kept. Pillows and mattress are comfortable, which to me is important. I slept very well. The nightstands each had outlets. There was a nice place to lay suitcases. The desk and chair were comfortable and fully functional. The TV worked well. There is a fridge and coffee maker. The closet is behind a full length mirror which was cool and a secret type door. The bathroom had a nice vanity and the shower was a good size. Not the kind where the shower curtain sticks to you. This is a good spot for a reasonable rate in Grand Island, Nebraska if you're passing through!!!

We won't stay here again and this is why: Yard and flower beds are full of weeds. Concrete…read moredriveway has multiple deep cracks with weeds sprouting through them. House is very cluttered, including the porch and hallways that lead to the bedrooms. Uncomfortable double bed. Bathroom needs updating. Towels skimpy, both in size and in number. I had a bad slip in the bathroom because the "stick-ons" weren't adequate to prevent slipping. Breakfasts were somewhat odd. Jello, macaroons, tomatoes, brownies for breakfast? These were side dishes and the main dishes were pancakes the first morning, omelets the second. (Owner did remember that my son was allergic to corn and provided an alternative, other than one made with corn syrup, for the pancakes. A very nice gesture.) I was attacked by their very large black lab when I entered the reception area rather than going through the back entrance. I received three bites: One on my finger which bled a lot. One on each leg. I was wearing jeans or I would have had more than just bad bruises on my legs. And, to top it all off, my husband suffered from what we are fairly sure was food poisoning, we suspect from the sausage served the first morning. (He'd had food poisoning before and the symptoms were identical.) The cost for all of this luxury was $90.00 per night. During the same vacation we paid $111.00 per night for a Hampton Inn room with two queen beds, breakfast included, in a nearby city. Next time we'll drive a little farther and stay in a nice hotel.

This is the absolute perfect place to get away from a busy lifestyle for a while. The house is huge. Fully furnished. Comfortable beds. Big kitchen. Fireplace. TV with Dish Network. The owners brought us firewood. They brought us breakfast each morning. They even offered to bring over ingredients for cooking dinner if we wanted. They could not have been friendlier. My only drawback was the lack of cell phone reception and wi-fi. But if you're trying to disconnect, those are advantages.
