    View toward the Chicago skyline.

Beautiful lakefront walking options, offering plenty of space for social distancing and amazing views of the Chicago skyline. Busy and buzzy with lots of walkers, cyclists and people enjoying the warm and comfortable early evening air.

This particular spot idle right off of Fullerton Ave. there is no sand, just cement steps to lay on and grassy areas. There are ladders to step down the cement wall but it's deep. You'd need to know how to swim or a float. But, it's not touristy. Which is Why we went there. There is a beer/concession stand I never saw before. Beautiful view of the city. Great spot!

Bring a blanket and come hangout got the day.

This is the spot if you want the ultimate view of the city and the lake. This beach has sand as well as a grassy area where you can relax and enjoy the view. Out of the chaos of the city bustle, there's space to throw a frisbee, bike along the bath, or sunbathe! Get out an enjoy the Chicago playground!

    Nice shaded area

The Fullerton beach is back and better than ever! After a storm clobbered the lakefront in Oct 2014 most of Fullerton beach stayed closed for an awesome renovation. As of March 2016 the location reopened with some sweet new features. You'll most likely find me there but here's what else you can expect: - A huge, expanded green space for lounging, similar to Diversy Harbor but with less shade (trees are too new). The land area is so much bigger than the old Fullerton beach which mostly served as a bike path. - A circular tree-shaded space with built-in rock seating. Great spot to meet people before heading out on a run or bike ride. Also a good spot to just relax and enjoy the lake breeze. - The restrooms are open just above (north of) Theater By the Lake; you have to walk around the building, off the main path. It's easy to find and in plain sight. - There's a bike rack on the east side of the theater; right near the interior path. - There's a huge Divvy station conveniently just across Lake Shore Drive. - The lakefront trail splits into two paths for a short distance but reconnects just before you hit beach front path. Runners and bike riders can coexist in harmony for a brief moment. - A new water fountain for refueling (4 spigots) - Beautiful views of the lake and downtown - Good access to Lake Shore Drive if you have a car, but no parking. If you get enough of the sunshine and lake views head over to the Lincoln Park Zoo and Nature Boardwalk, it's a block away!

I love this beach!!! I went to DePaul so I came here all the time in college. It's nice and small and definitely not as crowded as Oak St. or North Ave. beaches. It has a great skyline view and is easily walkable to the aforementioned beaches by simply strolling south down the sand. There are also bathrooms located nearby. Love, love, LOVE this beach!!

Very good spot to see the Chicago skyline. Free parking right off cannon avenue. Also has separate lanes for walkers and bikers.

Perfect place to stop after my bike ride from up north, also a good spot to watch the joggers, because they need watching!

Also walking distance from the nearby hotels. Right off of Michigan Avenue. Love the sandy beach area! You can rent a chair and/or beach umbrella for a very reasonable fee. Or you can bring your own! There is a restaurant on the site, and a shack where you can get hot dogs and drinks. There was dj music on the restaurant patio in this August when I was there. I really loved this beach and I will definitely return when I come back to Chicago.

Getting beach ready! Not only myself (preparing for a summer beach vacation), but Rosewood Beach…read morerecently got a clean up and seemed ready for visitors. It's been awhile since I've updated my experience at Rosewood. This review is based on a recent walk I took to get some fresh air and much needed exercise. After parking the car in Downtown Ravinia and walking to Rosewood beach and back to the car (round trip about 1.3 miles), I noticed a bunch of beach updates that are worth mentioning. First of all, gear up, because the beach is open this year and you'll be able to swim! It's a private beach and not free, so you'll have to follow this link (https://www.pdhp.org/beaches/parking-2/) for resident and non-resident fees. This year you can purchase a swim pass and a parking decal. I entered via the dirt path that leads down to the beach so I could make my way back up the stairs for a good stair climb. The path was nicely cleaned up and breathtaking all on its own. Surrounded by lots of foliage and overlooking the ravine, I walked until I met up with the beach boardwalk. The boardwalk is all cleaned up and nicely refreshed. Looks like it did when it first opened! The beach sand is all freshened up and ready for summer. The play structures for kids are covered (but not sanitized). The best part? The steep, really-great-for-your-legs staircase now has handrails! This is such a huge plus for when you can't quite make it up and need to lean over a rail to hold yourself up (don't judge). It was a nice quiet walk, since the beach isn't actually open yet, but it will get crowded for certain. Parking lots have meters.
