I was not completely healed at North Shore Spine & Rehab -D.B.A. Woburn Family Chiropractic…read more I most likely never will be 100% ever again. However Dr Pendolino was honest and straightforward. He gave good treatment and I responded with good results. His treatments worked and made my life much more.....enjoyable and less painful. My health insurance was in his network and that is how I came to him. His receptionist, Lisa is a sweetie and a gem. She made it a bit less anxious and painful to go there. Really! That's how pleasant and nice she is. Appointments are easy to make and to schedule. I was in and out in under 30 minutes which was appreciated. I would def go back again to him if I was in pain. I am glad I have him on board with my neck and back issues. I would def recommend him to anyone.

If I could give Dr Pendolino and his staff 6-stars, I'd do it in a heartbeat…read more I've been to upwards of a couple dozen chiropractors over the years. They're all very nice but "nice" only gets you so far. When I go to a chiropractor, I'm going for 2 reasons; 1. Relief; and 2. To get a LOT of questions answered; That's just how I am. When I go to any doctor, I want to know... 1. If the doctor can comprehend precisely what I'm going through; 2. How it got that way based on the info I gave him/her; and 3. What can be done about it; and 4. If it's truly rehab'-able, or if it's a forever maintenance kind of thing. I want someone who not only can answer my questions with an air of expertise, but who also WANTS to answer my questions and WANTS me to REALLY understand what s/he understands the path of healing/restoration that is available to me. Dr. Michael Pendolino is GUILTY of all of the above. First, his reception Lisa is, how do I put this?, kind of like a big sister/young mother. She's very sharp, great with details and sorta thinks to remind you of everything you need to know in case you forget it. Which is good because I can lose my socks on my way from the bedroom to the kitchen. Dr Pendolino has a very sharp, engaging mind. You can tell, without a doubt, that he's extremely knowledgeable and exceptionally passionate about his work. To-date, I have only done spinal decompression here. If you don't know what it is, Google it, but it's a fairly recent, proven therapy that helps restore healthy disk function. So, if you have collapsed and/or bulging disks, or pinched nerves, etc, a few pulls on this Star-Trek looking thing and you start to notice some "interesting" relief. My head just wasn't ready to believe I felt better so quickly from a collapsed disk I'd had in my lower cervical. Spinal decompression is not covered by insurance and it can be a bit pricey but they have a financing company available and, even with a couple of credit blips, I was able to get credit instantly. Believe me, if your back/neck is hurting because of disk problems, this is totally worth it! I can't yet speak for his regular chiro mojo but, if you are suffering from back/neck problems, I strongly suggest you contact Dr. Pendolino and set up an appointment for a consultation with him. He'll answer all your questions to your complete satisfaction. There is also a phyiscal therapist and acupuncturist in the office, and a massage therapist coming soon.

Unfortunately, this office has a pattern of treating its staff with a noticeable lack of respect and professionalism. Staff members are frequently spoken to in a condescending tone, disregarded when offering feedback, and subjected to an unnecessarily high-stress environment due to poor leadership and lack of support. High turnover and low morale have become common themes, which inevitably impacts the overall efficiency and atmosphere of the practice. Respect and professionalism should extend to everyone in a healthcare setting--not just patients. A provider's character is just as visible in how they treat their team as it is in the care they provide. I hope to see a shift toward a more respectful and supportive work culture in the future.

Dr Marchese went on to start is own clinic in Woburn many years ago, Marchese Sports Therapy. LWeather you are a pro or amateur athlete, or just an office worker, and like being well and want that extra edge for your health, John is the only chiropractor you'll ever need. Trust me when I say I've gone to others in the past, but they can't seem to provide consistent relief. John's also a great doc to work with and his office staff is nice too.

The "predator" review is spot on. I took a chance on this doctor in desperation to address extreme…read moreanxiety. I knew it was an "off-the-board" kind of treatment, but decided to give it a try. My exasperation with the "official" medical establishment is one factor that led me here. TL;DR: turns out it's basically homeopathy, meaning lame, unconvincing sleight (and I mean VERY sleight) of hand combined with meaningless psychobabble. Along with two assistants, she went through a procedure that is supposed to find all the bad stuff your body has problems with: She has you hold your arm up and resist her pushing on it, while putting pressure on some part of the body or resting a bottle of some substance on your stomach. When something is "good," you "successfully" resist her pushing. When it's "bad", she waggles your arm back and forth too quickly for you to adjust and push back and says "that organ is weak." It's kind of like you're a human Ouija board, LOL. She kept asking if I understood if I "got it" how one thing was strong and one was weak based on this, and I said, "uh, not really, it just seems like you're changing how periodically you push and pull." She testily said "NO. If you don't get this, we can't continue." (and of course the payment has already cleared the bank) After a few minutes of this, I'm thinking "This is nonsense." I figured I would be polite and wait til they were done and then just never come back. I occasionally asked clarifying questions, and she seemed to think her answers had some kind of logic to them, but nothing she said made any sense. At over an hour in, it was getting difficult to not roll my eyes. She went through the same routine with the bottles of vitamins I brought with me. Presses bottle to my chest, waggles my arm. "Bad." Another bottle. Waggle. "Bad bad." She read the ingredients of my Vitamin C & Zinc bottle, telling me how bad it is, and then suggested I "give this to someone you hate." :o That's what you call "professional." Then she pulled out some "gene chart" that any layperson isn't going to know up from down, throws out some impressive terminology, and said we need to test my genes. It will take from 15m to an hour. "ANOTHER HOUR?" I said. "Well, only if your genes have problems." I am not a rude person, and do not like confrontation, but at that point I abruptly sat up and said "I need to go." I got up and went to put my shoes on and collect my belongings from the table near the door. "But, we're not--" I told her this was absolute BULLSHIT and walked out. The three of them stood there with mouths agape as if this has NEVER happened before. This is "health care" for the hard of thinking. The old phrase pops to mind: "Be open-minded, but not SO open-minded that your brains fall out." (LOL to the 4-star reviewer who seems to think they are being overly critical)

I thought eastern medicine was mmmm a hoax! My daughter and son in law gave my husband and I the gift of life when they gave us gift cards for the initial 3 visits for evaluation. I decided to go in with an open mind. Not going to lie, my husband and I were a bit skeptical during the evaluation phase but decided to follow through because it was already paid for and we felt we had nothing to lose. We are both overweight and in an unhealthy state at present. My husband's diabetes was out of control. In just four short weeks we have both lost 15-20#'s! My husband's diabetes blood sugar has gone from 250-350 on massive doses of insulin down to 80-130 on less than 1/3 of the insulin he was taking! I use to nap on my days off just to get through the day. I am now sleeping less overnight and no longer taking naps! My energy level is that of a younger woman. I cringed a little with the price of the supplements but they do last for the initial "detox" period. So, you can either pay for prescriptions to treat bad health, or you can get in her program and pay for great health and wellness! Thank you Dr Medwar and team for setting my husband and I on the right path. Life is good again! To the nay sayers and the ones who wrote the bad reviews, did you go in with an open mind? Did you let Dr Medwar complete her evaluation? Did you try her program? If you haven't then you should. In just 3-4 weeks my husband and I both started to feel great. Bullshit this is not!

Dr. Hutchinson talked for 20 minutes straight about how other places didn't have the "toys" they have to fix people. He then proceeded to lecture me for another 20 minutes on all the types of ailments he's seen and fixed.. which was a huge waste of my time. The real kicker for me with this doctor was he cursed the ENTIRE time I was there, telling me that I had a "shitty back" and chalking it up to there's not much that could be done except to try some electro-shock therapy on my lower back. I'm fine with a little cussing, if it's appropriate... but it just wasn't professional to hear a doctor telling me that I have a F*ed up body, even if it's the truth. He didn't actually adjust me at all and didn't give me any of the "at-home stretch exercises" that he mentioned he would give me. I ended up realizing all of this on my drive home when it was too late. I still have lower-back pain and the electro-shock therapy didn't do anything except waste 15 minutes of my time lying on a table. I would NOT recommend this doctor/location to others based on my experience.
