The instructor was really nice and it was easy to follow. This was one of the most challenging workouts I've done in a long time! I love HyLo for the showers alone. The women's shower is a full room, with marble walls, and all the accoutrements you'd need--soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, towels, and even a scale. My only complaint is that they don't have makeup remover or any hair products in the bathroom when I'm getting ready after my workout, but I just bring what I need from home. The HY classes really work you in the cardio department. They all use a combination of spin bikes, rowing machines, free weights / kettlebells, ropes, TRX things (idk what they're called), and body weight to perform a lot of exercises in a short period of time with a lot of energy. Similar to what I assume some crossfit classes include. The LO classes use a special board to use your body weight and weighted poles or rubber bands to strengthen your body using your own body weight. This is most similar to pilates, barre, or yoga. All of which I'm terrible at, as I have the upper body strength of a newborn baby. Both classes totally kick my butt and make me feel like I've really worked my body hard! Highly recommend!

You can do different sessions, lead or open. I did a lead session with Monika. After setting an intention, she took us through 2 rounds of 10 minute sauna, then 2 minute cold plunge. A dry 210, it was hot. We were taken through 3 rounds of breathing sessions, starting slow then fast. A great time to let all your anxiety and stress pour out of your body. After a quick rinse, we lowered into ice cold water. Long, slow breathes to help your body relax and recover. Don't forget to give that scream release! After the 2 round of sauna/ plunge, Monika took us back into the sauna for one last session. 3 different rounds of scented water were poured on the hot stones while Monika used a towel to deliver heat bombs that'll definitely wake you up! The towel show alone was worth price of admission. I came with anxiety from the work week and having to sit through Mt P traffic and left with a sense of calm and purpose. Thank you Monika and Mindzero!

We were led by David, and Started the session laying on heated mats in a dark room. This was a great way to begin relaxing. Then, David told us what to expect, which was a 10 minute sauna session (200 degrees), then a 2 minute cold plunge, then another sauna session, the second cold plunge, and finally the last sauna session. While in the first sauna session, we talked about gratitude and people were welcome to share things they were grateful for. Before the session, my legs and back were sore. My body felt much better after the session. I left feeling relaxed, and my body felt amazing. It was also a community vibe, as we shared things we're grateful for together in the sauna, held hands in the cold pool together, laughing and even crying together. I can't wait to go back!

I cannot say enough positive things about this gym. The owner, community, trainers, workouts,…read moresupport, accountability, app, blog, nutritional guidance, supplements, etc...every aspect of exactly what you want out of a Gym/Trainer is here. They really focus on providing individual goals and guidance/accountability for your specific health and workout needs. They base their initial consultations and workouts on your needs and goals by multiple conversations, taking your health history, and utilizing modern scientific approaches to maximize your workouts to reach your goals. Then they re-evaluate to make sure you're on the right path to the goal you want and adjust accordingly. I've been a member of big box gyms, other CrossFit based groups, boxing centered group workouts, home health coaches, Beachbody workouts, and university level sports and training. And no BS, IronTribe has surpassed all of them. With the Coronavirus lockdown, these guys reacted proactively BEFORE they had to and reached out to every member and challenger in group and individual communication to discuss membership options and ask how they could help. They quickly jumped on providing ample options for at home workouts with or without equipment and even did a couple rounds of lending their equipment out to use temporarily. I've been solidly impressed. Their goal is your lifelong fitness, health, nutrition, and achieving whatever your personal goals may be. They truly operate and communicate like a family community...the business side is there, but heavily in the back seat. Support local. Support what works. Can't measure my Body Fat or BMI at home but the wife says I'm sexy again. So. As far as I'm concerned, success!!!

We selected this day for my first time (read: I am super out-of-shape, do not go to the gym, etc.) because it was low on cardio, focused on different stations of strength-based work, and easy to be modified. For example, if you move to a station where you are to lift weights, you could select 10 pound weights or 30 (or whatever) that is best suited for your needs. I wasn't nervous about coming because I've been to gyms of similar formats before. I was weary of embarrassing my friend in front of her other friends and coaches due to my lack of physical ability, but she assured me that no one would be judgmental and everyone would be encouraging. She was exactly right. Even better, no one seemed to give a rat's ass about what I was doing. And I mean that in a positive way. How nice to be able to work out and not feel like anyone is looking at you. That said, the coaches did keep an eye on me, to make sure I was doing the correct format or to offer me tips and modifications when it was obvious I needed it. I really enjoyed training at F45 this week, and I wish I lived in town so I could go back more often. I might want to check with the facility to see if they offer packages where you can purchase like a 10-class pass or something, because then I could join my friend when I visit from out of town or am home for holidays. I highly encourage anyone in Mount Pleasant or who lives in the area of an F45 to try out a class. You will not regret it!
