As a member of society that has a legitimate mask exemption, I understandsome places may not accept it. Which I've never argued at any establishment, I'll just take my business elsewhere. I've never argued the topic, but there are more professional ways to decline service than asking for personal medical diagnosis when you're just going to decline service anyway. This is especially true when an employee asks me "why" I have an exemption. There's personal, private, confidential. Not an appropriate inquiry from a receptionist. Even though an offer for a phone consultation was offered after the fact, I declined because of the inappropriate questioning of my mask exemption. Medical conditions/diagnosis can be an upsetting and unpleasant topic for some and for showing zero compassion or an understanding of what isn't acceptable to ask, I give one star. Also the veterinarian stated that my dog was never seen there but it was a lie as we have proof that our dog was seen on 16 May 2021. When we mentioned this the veterinarian started screaming at my spouse over the phone and I heard it all as the phone was on the speaker mode. And she change her story to our dog now needs to see her every year. Very unprofessional veterinarian. This veterinarian clinic is about the money not the wellbeing of your pet.

It was a cycle of injury, weight gain, medication then finally back to normal etc. We love our vet Dr. Robb at Dartmouth Vetrenarian Hospital, unfortunately they were really busy but kindly recommended the Harbour Cities Vet clinc to us :) I wish I could remember the name of the vet who saw Baby Ruth but oh my she was amazing! she recommended a long term solution supplement and the quality of her life has skyrocketed! she's so happy to walk, play and go to daycare again. It has taken me this long to sit and write an update to my first experience which was awesome...the…read moresecond visit was one that had traumatic and devastating effects on both our cat and family...because of the staff involved... in 02/18 our furry purry passed away....it happens..but it is how it happened that disgusts me about this clinic... It is a sad story of distrust and betrayal and heart break and needless suffering and loneliness and inhumanity...and guilt so if this is too strong for you do not read on.. I dedicate this review to Phillie our furrypury who died cruelly and alone because of this clinic.. AS shard we/he had such a great experience the first time that we considered this his vet... so when he sustained a brain injury from a balcony fall he was taken to his clinic. I explained the damage to his brain and bowel howver was taken back with their 'of course we know best' attitude . They gave him meds that made his bowels worse and his shame grew, I shared this with them... every time I spoke to someone they didnt listen because they know best..I had this cat for 10 years I knew what he was like before the fall and after.... he was already old ( 15 by this time) and blind and failing kidneys due to age and he rapidly declined due to this fall which was an unforseeable accident ...though asked landlord to redo balconie as planks are too wide apart... he never fully recovered... after a deep convo with my son we decided to let him die with dignity instead of the increasing anxiety and pain and shame he was in... the clinic just wanted to do blood work. I was clearly upset that my cat was upset and told them the blood test will not change our minds :we wanted Phillie to die with dignity no more pain and suffering.. and shame he had with his new bowel releases.... they wouldnt budge so had to take my cat home devastated...we made him as comfie as possible... but it was too much for me and I was going away for a while.. My son had to take him but because he was blind we set up the spare room for him so it was small enough to get to know without bumping into anything.. his bowels got worse....Sadly he was with a female who just got her own cat and kept them apart which was sad to hear. She didnt want our sick cat near her cat... I didnt know this until after.. however she ignored him all day long ..so he went from being loved /spoiled daily all day long... to only seeing my son after work every day...I feel he thought he was being punished for being so sick... until one day she said to him he didnt cry all day today... my son found him dead under the bed... It took him a month to tell me....2 years to post this... to say this clinic disgusts me is an understatement. Because they refused to listen to the owners of what was best for our pet he died alone and without attention all day... he died without me Nana Gee by his side as he would have had he been put to sleep properly.. He died without my son who loved him deeply.. day in and out he was left with that cold witch ..... until he just died.. having no Nana Gee or son...he died alone and feeling unloved and blind and in pain and confused and shamed... this was avoidable... to this day 2 years later I cant own a pet and never will again as the guilt is too much... This clinic denied my pet to die with dignity to stop his suffering and were more concerned about 50.00 blood tests that would have not changed our minds... we knew our cat they did not but instead I had to give him to my son as I couldnot handle the pain he was in... the one person he knew all most of his life.. he died alone I will never forgive this clinic so yes for the easy stuff they can do for the humane/human stuff they sicken me.. I cant post what I really think of tem but for life my son and I feel guilt that he didnt die with dignity and died alone because of this clinic making the wrong decision...animals like humans have a right to die with dignity... we can never get that back for him....so this review is for him xo our sweet furry purry Phillie.... my sookie babas xo

I feel thankful that I have found them. The reception is very welcoming, and Dr. Yazer is gentle and kind, and never makes us feel rushed. He takes the time to chat about all aspects of pet care. He took the time to get to know my shy and sometimes-nervous-with-new-people dog, so that now she is completely comfortable and he can perform any procedure. I brought my cat to Burnside Vet a little over a month ago and ended up paying $431 for the visit…read more About a week later, they texted me saying I could pick up medication -- which was news to me because no one had even mentioned there was any medication. By that point, my cat was already doing much better, so I declined it. Fast forward to this week (October 22nd). I called about getting something for my cat's chin acne. The person who answered said someone would call me back before the end of the day. No one did. October 23rd, I called again. I was told my call wasn't returned because the doctor was in surgery. Fine -- I accepted that. I was told I'd hear back in a few hours. Still nothing. October 24th, I called yet again. Same story -- "someone will call you back as soon as possible." When I asked when, the person said, "I don't know. There's a note in your file. You'll just have to wait." At this point, I'm beyond frustrated. Three days, three phone calls, and the same goddamn runaround. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm so pissed off that I ever went to them. Completely unprofessional and a total waste of my time. I will never fucking go back.

Everyone there also knows my Furrball -- literally! Also, I'm disabled and have trouble getting around, so when I need a med refill, Heather will go out of her way to bring it to me at home when she gets off work! When I had to make the hard decision to have Ashes euthanized because of a brain tumour, I think they were almost as upset about it as I was. I know Dr. Jessica was. I think she was going to cry when she was injecting him to help him cross the Rainbow Bridge. I originally went there because they were close to where I live. Now I wouldn't go anywhere else! They're the best!
