I could have saved a lot of headache for others as I have found out from a number of other people that have dealt with them that they are NOT so pleasant to deal with. Here it is. Allan Leigh Estates- By far the worst people to rent from EVER! These people are FRAUDS! The woman actually lost her real estate license because she was fraudulently altering documents! But lets start from the beginning. I looked at a house in Austin for rent, and I told them I'd be interested in the place as long as the carpet could get removed as it was saturated in urine. They agreed they can remove the carpet and either put new carpet in or if the hardwood floor was in good shape they would redo the hardwood floor. After the carpet had been removed they invited me back to take a look. I WAS BLOWN AWAY! It looked like they gave a 2 yr old child a paint brush and a can of polyurethane. It literally looked like they spilled the can of poly and just left it to dry! It was TERRIBLE and I mentioned it to the " owner " of Allen Leigh and he FLIPPED OUT ON ME and said they were going to keep my deposit reguardless if I decided to stay in the place or not! So after being scared I'd loose my 800 dollar deposit, I rented from Allan Leigh. I was there for a total of a yr and a couple months, and was never late on payments. When I gave them the notice I was leaving all was well. Until a month or so passed and they tried charging me for another months rent. I called them over and over and no answer. Left text messages and nothing back! I was ready to go to court. But they just dropped it. Don't take anything from these SLUMLORDS. Also I was in the middle of buying a house and the Loan company had to verify from them that I have been paying rent for at least a yr and have no late payments. Allan Leigh wouldn't even cooperate. BOGUS company! They should be ashamed of themselves! VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. BAD PEOPLE WITH BAD MORALS

It's a good thing there are other heating and air conditioning repair companies in town…read more I called for furnace repair on a Friday and the person answering the phone told me they could be out on Monday morning. That was really no big deal as winter is not quite upon us. I took the day off work to be available for the Monday morning appointment. I phoned Jim and Dudes at about 3PM to see if they were coming out or if I needed to take another day off work. The gal who answered the phone said she would have someone call me back. About an hour later I call a call back. The guy said that he had no idea that I was scheduled to have work done that morning and that he would look at my furnace the next day. At 4PM the next day I got a call from Dave. He said he could come over. He got there by 4:15 and by 4:45 had diagnosed the problem. He said it was an expensive part and that I may just want to get a new furnace rather than throw money and a furnace that would continue to be expensive to repair. He thought that the Draft Inducer Motor for my furnace would be more than $300. He said he would see if they had one at the shop and give me a call. 24 hours goes by... no call. 48 hours goes by... no call. 66 hours later... Dave calls to tell me he has a price for me. I told him that I got sick of waiting for him to get back to me and ordered the part myself online. I think I saved about $165 +installation costs in the process. I will not be calling Jim and Dude's again.

The most recent was this past Wednesday morning, April 10th, to fix a leak in their basement. They were told that they "might" be able to get to them yet that day otherwise they would be there the next day. My parents have waited around for 2 1/2 days and there has been absolutely no phone calls nor anyone from Kelly's Plumbing that has bothered to show up!! This is the most unprofessional, least courteous way to do business in a small town that I can imagine. The worst part is that they did this very same thing a couple of years ago and my parents, did finally get their work done and gave them another chance to "do right." My parents are 83 and 78. They still trust that when a company says they are coming to fix something the company WILL actually keep their word or at least call them and tell them they can't make it. We have many plumbers in Albert Lea. They won't be "bothering" your company again. Hopefully, you'll work harder on your customer relations in the future. Very disappointing!!!
