I saw Andi for my first haircut in a YEAR (thanks kids, thanks COVID) and it was diviiiine. Andi is just lovely and she gave me the exact cut I was hoping for. I have a lot of hair, so I wanted it thinned out a bit, and a shoulder-length with layers, something easy to maintain. And I checked in with me occasionally throughout the cut to see how I was liking it, and I felt really taken care of. The salon itself is spacious, and every other chair is empty to allow for physical distancing. Everyone was in a mask, obviously, and I felt really safe. I highly recommend Andi at Fuel! read more

I have been a loyal client of Lisa Gordon at FUEL.I would not go anywhere else. She is the best, but all the stylists are highly trained and innovative as well. My hair is one my best assets and that is because of Lisa - and the products she uses on my hair. Sometimes I will just get a blow out with Emily Trommeter if I have an event. Unfortunately, my experience with this salon was not a positive one. I found FUEL after having several bad experiences with my hair since moving to Colorado. Karin was confident she could do a good job so I gave her a shot. It was a mostly positive experience up until I left the salon with my hair half-styled, which meant going home to take a shower and styling it myself. I was willing to let that slide and give her the benefit of the doubt that it just took longer than expected. However, I don't think it's right to charge full rates for what was basically a partial service. I also tipped her well in spite of this because I really wanted to give her a chance since she did a good job with the color (the only reason I gave two starts instead of one). I left a message for her the following day because she had recommended a hair care routine that I had some questions about. They told me she'd be in the salon in the afternoon and they would pass along the message. A couple of days later, I still hadn't heard back so I called again thinking that maybe she didn't get my message. Hannah called me that afternoon saying Karin was out of town and would call me early the following week. I waited until EOD on Wednesday to call again and they told me she had just left the salon and yet, she still hadn't returned my call. This is when I asked for the manager's contact information. I emailed Jill and she said she'd talk to Karin. I got a text later that day from Karin that she was dealing with some personal issues and would be out for a couple of weeks. I responded with a note saying, I understood and to just call me when she was back at work. My questions could wait. Well, here we are more than a month out and I still haven't received a response. I got a reminder for my appointment this week and emailed Jill to cancel explaining why. The appointment was canceled in under 10 minutes, but there has been no reply to my email, which also included a picture showing how choppy the cut was, which was apparent once I straightened my hair (my hair is naturally curly) and a request to at least refund the tip since I didn't feel like I should be tipping someone for such poor customer service and a total lack of consideration. This entire experience has been unprofessional and it apparently comes from the top down because even the manager can't take the time to follow-up. I've already found another stylist and would not recommend Karin or any stylist at FUEL since their managers don't stand behind their services or their stylists. The lack of professionalism and integrity would keep me from recommending any FUEL locations. read more

Vanessa is friendly, but the haircut I received was no where near the picture I showed her. She also did not take her time cutting my hair. She rushed it. The result was not what I expected after paying a lot of money for a haircut. I've been to a lot of high end beauty salon and they take their time cutting and styling your hair until it looks exactly or near what you told them or showed them. We'll, not this one. Natalie Tinker, is seriously the most amazing human, hair stylist, everything you name it. I've been doing my hair with her for well over 2 years. I've had balayage with her, all the in between, the dark, and just wow. she's amazing. she makes me feel SO SO comfortable, and has done so ever since I first started going with her. Terrible customer service. Period. Dont ever be late (even if you call and let them know it will be 10 min and they say it's fine). They canceled my follow up appt as soon as I left the salon and could care less if you spent almost 1000.00. They must not need repeat customers because they will treat you nicely and then....not. Had appointment with Sam Carroll. She claims she has 5 years of experience but seems as though she is fresh out of school. I have thick hair therefore when it needs trimmed texturing and dry cutting is essential. She had no idea what I was talking about. A partial highlight with lowlight and trim took 4.5 hrs. This is quite long in comparison to past stylists I have had, not to mention she soaked me at the bowl, not a splash my top was soaked. She charged me $275 for this service this is way too much for her level of experience. read more

Wish they stuck by their word. Not going to name any names but made an appointment for a hair cut a few days ago and when I got there they told me they didn't have time to do the cut I wanted. I've been here multiple times before so not sure why all of the sudden they changed the amount of time they needed. Very disappointed, and they are missing out on a lot of money. Update from 5 stars to -5. (Blue shirt in car pic and pic of three on top of eachother is how it is supposed to be.) I had been seeing a stylist at Fuel that I really liked. I wasn't able to get to my appointment,and her books are busy,, she reccomended her coworker, Courtney Moreno. She showed Courtney how it is dupposed to be, the photo of the three pics on top of eachorher, she showed her those, with the exception of all mew growth, that was the color!!! WORST mistake of my life! I had over 6 in. Of VIRGIN GROWTH on the back half of my head that COURTNEY MORENO underprocessed and left my hair ORANGE!! She used 10 volume for 15 minnutes on a YEAR of growth - level 4 virgin hair. She did worse on the front! I didnt love it, she touched up a few spots around my face, with a bit more lightener for less than 5 min, she then tried to wipe it off and send me home. TRIED TO NOT WASH OR EVEN RINSE BLEACH OFF MY HEAD!! I had to ask her to rinse, she acted like that was outlandush! She also attempted to cover her pathetic work by overtoning it to a weird smoky gray rose gold mess! I gave her multiple chances to fix it and at this pointi regret being so nice about it! We had plans for her to fix it the next day, at 10pm the bight before, she bailed! Yeah, that leaves a bad taste! So, I called F.U.E.L. to talk to one of the owners, I didnt want my money back. I want my hair fixed! getting a hold of one of them was nearly impossible when I finally talked to Jill, i was met with "Courtney is a good stylist and yeah she under processed your hair" she was rude, dismissive, and confused, telling me Courtney doesn't want me as a client...client.... LOL i never was her client, I rebooked with my original stylist when i got there right in front of her, lol she knew! Never have I been met with such disguise service. Bad to wirse!!!! I have been seeing Emily at the salon and have followed her from three other salons. I am a middle-aged woman and like a somewhat avant garde haircut and color. Emily never disappoints. Red colors are her specialty and she always has new ideas for cuts and colors for me. Every six weeks my hair changes and I love it :-) As far as the salon itself, it is light and bright with a modern feel. You can always get gourmet coffee and other drinks, and there is relaxing seating if you have to wait. Everything is clean and modern. They have the newest products for hair and nails, and they also have aestheticians to do facials and eyelash extensions, which I have also used. Julie at the salon does my nails and has for 10 years. She is hilarious, personable, and professional. There is a reason that this place is humming despite cheaper nail salons and hair places nearby. read more

Joby Brown, formerly of Salon Rucci, is now at f.u.e.l. Salon. She is the best hair stylist and color expert I have ever had. My hair is fine, straight and thin, but her expertise with cutting and coloring makes my hair look it's very best! Joby is able to beautifully style anyone's hair as she has had extensive experience working with all hair types. She listens to what you want and like, and shares her opinion on what hair color choices suit you while taking into account your individual style, face shape and facial features, as well as your complexion for the most flattering result! Super cute salon. Stylist was friendly and she took extra care to smooth out my super thick hair so it looked awesome after the service. I'm giving 3 stars because I called ahead of time and was told the particular stylist I scheduled would be $140 for a partial highlight and cut. At the end of the service, I was charged $192! That was a bit of an overshot for my liking and I'm not exactly sure why the discrepancy was so high since the stylist didn't tell me she was doing anything that would cost more than the services I booked. I would consider going back, but i would really like to know what I'm expecting to pay and I don't feel confident about that. read more

She didn't do the cut I wanted (I don't think she knew how) and it wasn't a complicated one... Cami Owens at FUEL is outstanding. I have overly thick, dry course hair. Cami takes that hot mess of a head of hair and tames it - but in a way that suits my personality and style. Cami is an expert at hair color as well. I was stuck on a color I thought was good - Cami politely suggested a different shade - what a difference it has made. So many have told me it makes me look brighter and younger. If you are looking for a stylist that can tackle the most challenging hair, Cami is your person. read more

Awful shellac manicure. I spent $45, plus tip and my shellac manicure was not relaxing at all. They don't give you massage, no soaking, just file and paint. Biggest waste of time and money. I'd rather go to a cheap salon. The paint job isn't very good either. No more Fuel for me! read more

I followed Penny Huff to Fuel from her previous salon, and I couldn't be happier with my haircuts and their service. The salon is bright, clean, and comfortable, and the stylists really take pride in what they do and do it well. Penny (and all of the stylists) make sure to educate themselves on all the latest techniques, which is especially important for someone like me with my curly hair. I was able to get in last minute for a wash and style with Joby. Not only is the atmosphere very inviting when you walk in, the decor is super cute! I told Joby what I was looking for and showed her a few pictures and she did an amazing job! I have thin hair and feel as if some stylists make it look thinner after styling it, but Joby did an amazing job! It even looked just as great for 2nd day hair! My first (and last) experience with fuel salon was a little unsettling. I was getting my hair highlighted when I overheard one of the owners continue to use foul language towards a customer who left unhappy. My highlights did not turn out like I would have hoped but I was afraid to say anything in fear that I would be ridiculed when leaving. It was not worth the battle to suggest a fix or pay a discounted rate. My sister did a better job at the kitchen table later that night. read more

I have been a customer of Karin Perko for several years and she never disappoints me. I have very fine hair and even with the highlights I use on my hair, Karin manages to keep my hair looking healthy and full of volume. I have referred friends to Karin and they have all been very happy with the services and level of professionalism Karin brings to her work. Karin will not just give you a fantastic hair style, she will educate you on how to take care of your hair in between appointments. As a side note, Karin did my hair and the hair of my bridal party on my wedding day. I have never experienced a random act of kindness as I did at Fuel last Friday. I was having a hair crisis 24 hours before I was supposed to be in my friends wedding. I stopped by the salon and Brooke B, a stylist, had stopped by on her way home from the gym. She spent approximately an hour on my hair, fixing everything. Brooke, if you read this, my jaw was literally on the floor the rest of the day just thinking about your generosity and kindness. You changed the entire trajectory of my weekend. I think the world of you. If this is the kind of stuff you do for a random stranger, your clients are some lucky people. I started going to Fuel b/c my favorite Colorado colorist and stylist, Mandy, is there. I have long, thick hair and Mandy knows how to cut it well. The prices are very reasonable, they offer wine and beverages and they use awesome, quality products like Keristase and Pureology. I like their location - in a strip mall - because there is plenty of parking and, when you go somewhere with a pricey location, you're paying for their overhead. I'd rather pay for products and services. read more
