Huge shoutout to Foushee Salon! As I've gotten older, my hair has taken on what I call, 'old lady kinks'. Parts of my hair look like I fell asleep giving myself a home perm, left the solution on for hours. Top layer looms fine but sections of underneath frizzled. Ive googled but found no solution other than "embrace it". Yeah, no. Yesterday, I went to Foushee Salon Spa on S. Federal by Belleview Theresa Sell gave me something called "Brazilian blowout", a procedure to straighten and smoothe. The whole experience was amazing. From the initial shampoo feeling like a warm scalp massage, to the care she took with long gray hair that tangles when you look at it, to using a diffuser to ensure the chemical fumes were dispersed, the entire experience was amazing. I felt very spoiled, my hair is kink free, soft and smoothe. Theresa was lovely and very professional. When I wanted to prolong the shampoo, she mentioned their ultimate Head Spa treatment, which sounds decadent. Where has this luxury been all my life! I WILL be treating myself again! read more

My colleague recommended I see someone here who unfortunately kept being booked so far out, so I opted to see someone else. I originally had an appointment on a Friday but a snowstorm was coming in, so I called Thursday to postpone, no problem. Friday morning at my appointment time I get a call "Are you still coming in for your appointment? It's after 10." I called back and they had no record of me postponing the appointment OR booking a new one. So I had re-book another appointment again. Not the end of the world (they didn't charge me or anything) but poor communication or not noting something in their software/calendar. Day of the appointment, I get there about 10 minutes early and check in. They said my stylist would be with me soon. They had a small waiting area with some couches and comfy chairs (though it kind of backed up to the product area so people were walking right behind you a bit). My appointment was at 11:45. It's 11:45, 11:50, 11:55, I just keep waiting. Finally, my phone rings and I see it's the salon. I'm watching the woman at the desk calling me. She asks if I'm coming in. I tell her I am sitting directly across from her. She and my stylist come get me and apologize but like....TWO scheduling or checking in or software problems? Guys, get your stuff together. Someone literally checked me in. Nobody came into the waiting area to ask if I was there. Really weird. Anyway, my stylist was alright. She asked what I was doing (cut, wash, style). We went into their very spa-like wash room - I loved this. Nice quiet room away from the blowdryers, calm music, dark lighting. I could basically live in here. The wash and head massage were nice. After that we went back to the chair and she cut my hair how I wanted, but not much conversation. What is it with my luck and getting un-chatty stylists?? I want to talk ad nauseum please!! Also at one point I mentioned having some questions about what to do in the future with color and she asked me to explain what I was thinking......and then she proceeded to not really have any response, recommendations, no follow up. Like, I gave her an easy in to 1. talk to me 2. give her input 3. try to get me to come back for a color appointment. She kind of failed on all 3. Overall, the wash and cut were fine. Styling was just alright. Not really much style when she was finished. I know I have a lot of hair, but my stylist in CA was amazing and gave my hair a great shape with just a blowdryer. We walked in the salon and was bedazzled by the beauty of the salon. The waiting room was so aesthetically pleasing, everything blended well together.. the products, the snacks, the drinks. Cassandra is magic. She transformed myself and my 2 girls from stale to glam! She listened to what we wanted and executed it to perfection. We have been to several hair salons for my girls and all have been lackluster. The last hair salon was specifically design for kids and let's say Cassandra changed our minds on traditional kids salons. The girls started with a shampoo rinse in their tranquil wash room, a cut in their gorgeous salon space and followed by styling & a choice of glitter fairy strand or fun colored hair extension. I went in with a picture and showed Toby what kind of haircut I wanted and I wanted it to my shoulders so I could still put my hair in a ponytail , I also needed my bangs fixed. It had layers and had a v shape at the ears. After Toby cut 3 inches of the back and nothing else, she gave me a mirror and asked what I thought. I picked up my phone and showed Toby the picture again and said there are no layers like the picture. I said I want my hair cut like the picture but to my shoulders. It was so weird. It was as if Toby could not comprehend I wanted layers like in the picture. Toby would not cut my hair like the picture and let me know the cut was done. I have been going to Salon Foushee for two and a half years. I've always received excellent customer service, greeted by kind professional staff and my haircuts and color are perfection. Do yourself a favor. Treat yo' self to a day at the salon and book an appointment with Krystal. You'll thank me later. In desperate need of a cut/color/help with this mane of mine, I turned to Salon Foushee for some much-needed assistance and pampering. Having known Krystal since high school and envying her hair (always and most recently on Instagram), I booked an appointment online and headed to a strip mall in Littleton. I arrived early (parking is ample) and checked in with the smiley staff member at the front desk. Within minutes, Krystal appeared, hugged me and led me to her chair - aka where the magic happens. I explained to her some of the problems I was having, the color I desired and asked her for help on a cut - as my hair tends to grow unevenly and at different rates. She was honest, thoughtful, confidence boosting and made me feel completely at ease - especially after not seeing her for 13 years! Next up: we hit the color bar - to mix up the freshest blonde (aka platinum) I had requested. The bar is extremely organized by color and product, making it easy for a multitude of stylists to get in, mix up what they need and out in a timely fashion. After about an hour of foiling my hair (with no lull in conversation!) I made my way to the dryer. At that time Krystal and staff offered me fruit infused water (from the tap), which arrived in a stemless wine glass - to feel classy AF. I watched others come in for massages, to get their nails done and more! So many services are offered here - allowing all of your pampering needs to be met, at one place! Then: to the wash house, we went! While I thought it was a little odd that it was behind closed doors, it all made sense upon entering. The space is dimly lit, features chandeliers, soft music and a row of chairs - for all your deep conditioning, toner rinsing and scalp massaging needs! I felt insanely relaxed and especially enjoyed it after a long day at work. Shortly after giving my hair allllllllll the attention, we ventured back to Krystals chair, "dusted off the ends" (aka slight trim), chatted and styled my hair to perfection. Krystal even suggested some products to take with me that would help address my hair issues, at home. While services are a pretty penny, it was entirely worth it! I cannot thank Krystal enough for her attention to detail, and time spent on perfecting my mane! Not only does my hair look and feel amazing, but I do as well. Curly haired women beware! I have naturally curly hair and decided to try this salon for a trim because my regular stylist works downtown and I live in Littleton with a newborn. Well, to end the suspense, the convenience factor was not worth it! The receptionists are friendly and so was the stylist (Sara), but she should avoid curly hair clients in the future. I went in with my hair styled curly so she could see how it looked and how I style it. I told her I just wanted a trim with the dead ends cut off. She started by shampooing and conditioning my hair. So far so good. But that is when the good stopped because she proceeded to cut it while wet and curly. I know that some stylists are trained to do this and can actually pull it off so I didn't question her judgment, but alas, she is not one of those stylists. I ended up with a lopsided cut that was way too short. She also basically styled it into an Afro that was extremely frizzy and not flattering at all. I looked like I had walked straight out of the 70s and got teary-eyed in my car as I examined my new hairdo (blame it on the postpartum hormones ). However, I tipped for her time (and because I felt it was appropriate with people just getting back to work because of the pandemic) and waited to write this review because I thought maybe when I went home and styled it myself that it would look better. Boy was I disappointed. After washing my hair the first time, I could immediately tell it was choppy and uneven. The fact that I could tell it was uneven when it was curly says A LOT. So I made an appointment with my regular stylist to get it fixed and took this picture after my stylist showed me how uneven it really was in the back. Insane! My wife is in absolute tears this morning due to the $240 haircut she got yesterday from Kara Taylor (Master Stylist) at Salon Foushee. She is so pissed off at the haircut, she doesn't want to ever talk to anyone again in this salon. I offered to write this review for her. The main issue: Kara didn't listen to a damn thing my wife said she wanted!!! How do I know? My wife is very particular with her hair, and when Kara finished, she told my wife that she modified the cut to be a little "less dated"!!! Kara cut the hair and styled the way she pre-decided, instead of giving my wife the haircut she asked for. Uh....excuse me....but when a customer asks for something very specific, I have a severe problem when a supplier imposes their own opinion on what you "should" look like, and completely ignores your wishes! My wife absolutely HATES the haircut she got. I have never in my life seen her this upset about her hair. There was too much cut off in the wrong places, and it will probably take a year to grow back! This is actually the second time she has been here. The first time was also "not great", but she thought she would give them a second chance. Huge mistake! Stay as far away from this Salon and Kara T. as you can. I usually don't leave negative reviews.. I am leaving for a trip at the end of the week. I came in to get a cut and color. The stylists were working with two or more clients at a time and clearly rushed. Since I don't like wasting my time and in this scenario did not have a lot of time to waste I sent an email asking for a refund bc I went to another place to get my hair done for my trip. I love the idea to give a second chance but for $182 and 2.5 hours of my time I don't want to go back in hopes they get it right. But refunds are not allowed so just be cautious and more vocal I suppose. read more

So - caveat on my review here, because they hit a button with a pet peeve. My family has used this place for hair cuts, mani/pedi, etc. and generally seem happy. I've bought gift cards done services before. The one star is associated with my pet peeve - they take credit, but they DO NOT let you put a tip on the credit card. Which is both annoying because I've never see a service place that takes credit that didn't allow tip on the card, and I don't always have cash on hand. We may not live in a cashless society, but close enough. And, I think it's extremely likely they could choose to turn on a tip option on their system and choose not to. Because again, I've never seen this situation anywhere else, and would always pay with a card. So, I see two possible likely ramifications from this: 1. Gratuity is already included in their prices. This is possible given they are a little pricey for their services - but they don't say this is the case. 2. They are taking their cut, and their staff get short-changed on tips at the very least from customers who don't happen to have cash on hand. So, if this is the case, nice job exploiting your workers. Either way - I've now decided that although I generally tip generously, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume #1 above is the reason why, and will no longer tip for any services at this location if I ever go back, because I'm not generous enough to tip twice/double for a service. Happy to reconsider this if the owner/management responds with a reasonable explanation that I've missed here. read more

My first few visits went very well and I was satisfied with my service. I have had facial, waxing and hair color here. Then in December getting an appointment for anything was so challenging that I couldn't get in at all. I recently returned for a haircut only to find the place with its doors wide open smelling of rotten sewage. After 10 minutes of sitting there getting sick from the smell, I left. I had dark hair and i wanted it brown, the girl did these tiny highlights and my hair looked THE SAME for $120, I then went to another stylist and she bleached it, my hair was now LIGHT, i went back to Foushee for them to simply DEPOSIT the chocolate brown color I wanted, they ended up getting it as dark as I had originally came in and the girl told me "oh after the 3rd wash you should see the chocolate brown you want" if i'm going to damage my hair i expect the color, how is brown that hard??? I just left, I've spent a fortune trying to get my hair brown, DO NOT COME HERE. The reason Im writing this review, is because (back tracking a couple of weeks), I made an appointment and I was getting the service done and I forgot my AirPods there. When I realized that I called the salon and asked if it was there. They said that they were not there. Being that it was 100% my fault that I left them, I just let it go. Fast forward to today, I called to confirm my appointment for April 5, and a manager got on the phone and said "we are no longer allowing you to come to the salon because you ACCUSED US Of STEALING YOUR PROPERTY." This is absolutely untrue and they know it. I explained the situation, that in NO way would I ever do that! Obviously it was my fault that I left them. I called cause maybe they found them lying around. I did not accuse ANY of the employees for stealing! EVER! It is definitely not in my character to do that. I just thought maybe they found them on the floor or bathroom. I have given them quite a bit of business and this overreaction on their part shows zero integrity and care for their customers, which is obviously how they stay on business. Very unfortunate. **booking online beware** Went online and booked an appointment for my wife who really deserves to have her hair styled and works really hard so I was really excited that I can book everything online and keep everything kind of secret for a surprise and treat her like any spouse should be treated. I set up the appointment online get with the hairstylist I had great reviews and then their online system absolutely let us down - she goes there and they have no idea what's going on don't really work with her make her feel like she's stupid and going sorry can't find anything but I do have this new reservation but it just says new reservation so beware of the system not worth your time to book online - when I voice my complaint when I called the lady started getting very short and very rude and just says go ahead and write a review it doesn't matter they get reviewed daily and will get taken off. Being a present I was ready to drop a few hundred dollars because their stylist charges 108 an hour plus all the other fees. This was my first time in a spa in the US, absolutely loved it. Greeted with genuine warmth by everyone who interacted with us, which were about five employees in total. We thought there might have been challenges tending to us because there were four of us in total and on the same day, my wife, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and I but the staff managed that situation to perfection. Jackie and Danielle were extremely accommodating, the rooms were the perfect temperature set to our liking, extremely sanitary and most importantly the experience was the epitome of relaxation! It was really a case of lay back and enjoy! Refreshments provided while you wait or for when you're finished. Truly a classy, comfortable atmosphere, we were so pleased with the service we purchased gift cards so other people can share our experience and have vowed to make it a ritual of ours! I do not recommend this place if your looking for a long term stylist. I been here multiple times over the past year, every time I go I have a terrible experience. I kept going to give them the benefit of the doubt but i just kept getting disappointed. Most of the stylists I been booked with are rude, unprofessional and they always have an attitude when you don't agree with their recommendations. In September I had one stylist that was sweet, patient and very detailed, she ask me a ton of questions to be able to achieve my dream hair and she did an amazing job ! First time I found some who knows how to treat her clients. I called the salon a few months later to rebook my appointment and I find out she no longer works there. I told them to rebook me with someone else and I could honestly say it was my worst experience there. On top of her assistant being late for my appointment I could hear people talking bad about my hair, pointing from a distance, giving me weird looks, and they kept making assumptions about my personality based on my hair, that truly hurt I felt like I was back in high school surrounded by a bunch of mean girls... After that very unpleasant visit, I asked the salon if they knew where she relocated to and they refuse to tell me they just kept pushing me to rebook with someone new there. So I decided to take it upon myself to find that one lovely stylist I met back in September, I will not mention her name out of respect to my stylist but the things she told me about this place confirmed every speculation i had about them. The unprofessional attire most of the girls wear is the least of their problems, whoever the owner is they need to do a better job at training their team to be kind, patient and cover up more when they are working in a "professional" environment. That reflects terribly on the business. I never seen so many exposed body parts in a salon. Overall terrible experience. If you like mean girls who are dressed up to go to the club, then this is the perfect fit for you.... This review will probably be taken down by the owner but i hope it at least reaches a few people. So, mixed feelings about this salon. I really like my first stylist and I think she did a great job cutting my hair multiple times. However, when I went to a new stylist, Gretchen, because I had to book quickly and the first stylist wasn't available, she rushed through my cut and had her assistant do everything but the literal cutting of my hair. The assistant washed, parted, brushed, and dried my hair all while Gretchen was cutting another client's hair. I realize that it was a last minute appointment, but I should have been turned away instead of overpaying for the assistant's work. Only giving three stars for the first stylist. read more

I was so disappointed after trying to communicate with this salon for my wedding. Knowing that my wedding date was a holiday, I was nervous that finding stylists for my bridal party would be a challenge. The salon was confident that they would be able to find 3 stylists, and so I booked my trial. I would call frequently to ask for updates on the stylists and began to really worry when only one person had signed up. I asked if they wouldn't mind offering the job to the downtown location for any stylist to pick up, and they told me no problem. Here I am to my trial date, and I was told (after I called to check) that the salon had already canceled my request because they couldn't find enough stylists. This was news to me!! I then called the downtown location where they told me that they had never heard even from the salon for my wedding date. I'm beyond frustrated with the lack of communication I received. She called today to verify and was told she wasn't scheduled. This woman lost a mother in law and both parents to COVID since October and all she wanted was her hair done. One cancellation I can understand. A second is pushing it. But this time? Must be nice to be able to give such awful service and chase customers away when other salons are going under. I'm really torn about Salon Foushee. Over the past nearly 2 years I've had four haircuts with color from a level 2 stylist: the first was fantastic and the last three were so-so. Does this count as giving it a fair shake? I felt guilty about requesting a more skilled sylist so I suppose it's my own darn fault. I also took my toddler son here for his first haircut, for which the stylist and cut was wonderful, but the price was double what they quoted me when I called. Also took my mom here last year for a mother-daughter cloud 9 mani-pedi, which was super relaxing and extra enjoyable for my mom, who had never treated herself to a pedi before. My only complaint is that I had just as many callouses on my feet as when I walked through the door - maybe you need to specify they remove the callouses? The atmosphere is chic (love the wash house room - they wash your hair and give you a quick head massage in a separate, quiet room from the rest of the salon) and the front desk folks are always friendly. If you get a skilled stylist, you will be happy, so be sure to check the stylist levels. Pros: you can book online (but you must have a Facebook account so they can connect you). Cons: the parking lot is crazy. Not their fault but be careful. read more

I purchased a Cloud 9 pedicure as a gift and went with friends for a scheduled visit. Wow the place was hopping! My friends got great pedicures but mine was unfortunately really bad, untrimmed cuticles, paint on cuticles and skin, fingerprint on the final coat - you get the idea. I called back same day to just make them aware not asking for a redo but they offered at no charge. Nice I think, then arrive to find appt is different from what I wrote down and have to reschedule. It's far for me, 2 hours round trip, and I warn I'll be out of town and it won't be easy to come back for a couple months. No problem they say and assure me the info will be in the system when I want to reschedule. I even double check and they reassure me. Two months later they refuse to honor the offer and tell me there is a 10 day reschedule deadline, the first time I've heard that, which was particularly disappointing since I had asked - twice. Bottom line, I paid $60 for a pedicure that had to be immediately redone, drove out again for an appt that was scheduled for a different day, and then assured and reassured I could reschedule later - only to be later denied. It's not really about the money but the principle. I was polite the whole time and always gave them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm saddened and disappointed with the product and overall experience after so thoroughly researching what seemed to be a solid salon and doing my best to work with them. I decided to try an eyelash lift and tint a few weeks ago. I walked in - told the girl behind the desk what I wanted and she set me an appointment with herself as she was one of the technicians. I came in for my appt the night before a wedding I was going to out of town and had my lashes done. When I got home and looked closely in my mirror at my lashes I was horrified! Instead of my lashes lifting up - they were curled down. It is over a month later and my lashes are still curled down. I immediately called and demanded a refund and was told if I am refunded I cannot come back for any services in the future. I thought that was a joke, but it wasn't. The woman was serious. I looked up the reason why this might have happened online. Apparently - after looking it up online - this can happen when you leave the chemical on too long. The girls name is Kayla. I had high hopes for this salon. The pandemic kept me at home and I was in need of mani/pedi and cut and color. I did the mani/pedi first and the nail tech did the bare minimum, not even a hand massage. When it came time for me to leave she didn't offer to help me get into my purse so the nails were messed up before I got out of there. It was rushed and one of the worst mani/pedi experiences I've had. I decided to try one more time, cut and color. I asked the stylist to cut my hair even, she didn't. I told her that I wanted the lowlights to look natural, they weren't and my hair is super dry. Not sure who they hire or how they train but they need to do a better job. read more

A little off the beaten path, however this salon is well worth the drive. When you enter, you are instantly greeted with smiles, comfort, and assistance. It's bustling, yet inviting. I had their Brazilian Blow-out hair straightening service which, on hair as long and thick as mine, takes close to three hours, but the results are well worth it. usually, in the rainy weather that we've been having, my hair is coiled up like crazy. After this great service though, it looks like I just ironed it. Even cooler is, it's not harmful for your hair, and it actually feels healthier! Jenn, the manager, rocks pretty hard too! I can't wait to go back and get a weightless pedicure, or massage. read more
