A friend of mine suggested it as a location for my new-parents coffee group and it has been a great location for us. I've had the flat whites and they are above-average. What makes me really happy is that they have a good supply of cronuts on a regular basis - delish! Last week I had a peppermint slice that tasted good, but was so rock hard I couldn't cut it with a knife. The staff have been friendly and attentive and accommodate our baby-sprawl without complaint. There are 2 large rooms for seating, as well as outdoor seating. There are some couches available as well, which has been nice for those of us newborn-toting mamas.

Found this spot with the help of local Brown Brothers enthusiasts and so pleased for the recommendation! The coffee is excellent. I didn't have a cookie. I believe most people come here solely for the coffee and atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit! From the road, you will see the first building with Brown Brothers written on the front. It's mainly a cake decoration shop that makes their own fudge, cakes, and cupcakes. There was a wide variety of fudge available within samples given out. For us, there was only one fudge we were really interested in. We have never spent so much on fudge alone before. By the time we left, there was a queue of people waiting to go in. The assistant told us they do deliver to Auckland, this sounds very dangerous to me............................

I ordered the Lewis Whittakers Chocolate Overload cake ($137 for a small 6 inch cake) in Hokey Pokey flavour for my father's retirement party. When I received the cake it was chocolate flavour, not hokey pokey. I reviewed all of my email correspondence and there was no mention of a chocolate-flavoured cake in any of the emails. The store representative refused to admit liability for the mistake, even though the emails clearly showed that the order was for a hokey pokey flavoured cake. No apology, no compensation, nothing! Very poor customer service. I will not be returning to The Girl on the Swing in the future or recommending this store others.
