It's actually located in the old Gothenberg spot on Hood Street. When you walk in, you notice the same sense of style and aethetics that make Gothenberg so pleasant and enjoyable. Craft specializes in pizzas, sliders and beer. Now, the sign out front does actually say that, but if you are looking for something OTHER than those things, then move on. The menu is somewhat limited in that respect. However, in terms of the variety and quality of the pizza and sliders, you won't be left wanting. I came here without the kiddos and with my husband and in-laws, who were visiting from the States. My husband was very happy with the beer selection (I was the driver none for me that night). Though the food is pizza and burgers, you definitely are getting the upper-end version of these items (not typical pub-type fare). The flavor palate is interesting and tasty (and if you ever had the sliders at Gothenburg, you'd have a sense of what is on offer at Craft). The servers were great and friendly. It's wasn't too busy, but it was a Wednesday night. They have some lounge type indoor seating, and some "social" types of seating (e.g. long, high top tables, a high-top counter along the wall) and may well get crowded on a busier night. They have also maintained some of the outdoor seating that was there from Gothenburg as well. All in all, I'll be back again on a future date night. They might be perfectly happy to have your children there, but I don't intend to find out :)

For my 5yo twins, they've enjoyed burgers from here since they were still being prammed around the city. Notably, there's ample room in the restaurant to fit a large pram, and there are large tables for large parties. Fight night (or afternoon, as the case may be) is always an interesting time to come to LT. It usually draws quite a crowd. So, if you're not into fight nights or crowds, call before you arrive. Plus, they're willing to book a table for you if you do call. When we first moved to Hamilton in 2016, LT had some growing pains. Like another reviewer said, they'd run out of staple food items on their menu. That seems to have been corrected over the years and ticking along very nicely. Have a go!

I was a bit torn about giving this place a four or a three star rating. This is one of the new…read morerestaurants being offered after the extensive Sky City renovations. I came here for lunch with only my husband and we sat at one of the high-top tables out front. What I do really like here is the atmosphere. It has a comfortable but upscale brew house decor. The seating outside is good for people watching along Victoria Street. I had a glass of the blueberry gose, which was described to me as a sour wheat beer. I really liked it. My husband isn't a great fan of the Good George brews, so he had one of the non-house beers. If I was just rating my beer and the atmosphere, I would have given this place a four star rating. Then we get to the food. The server told us they were out of mussels and prawns. This took 3-4 options off the menu from the start. Not a great start (especially since the mussels were a big part of their advertised menu). I ended up having the chicken sandwich (added on fries) and my husband had the braised beef sandwich. The portion of add on fries was quite substantial, but they suffered a bit by looking a lot better than they tasted. I pretty much always finish up my fries but I left maybe half; they were just not that exciting. My sandwich was fine. A good portion and I did finish it, but it wasn't particularly exciting. My husband's sandwich was worse. I tasted it and the beef was really dry (how does this happen with something that should be braised?!). So, I'd definitely recommend this place for drinks with friends, probably not so much a place for kids and if your hopes aren't too high about the food then you'll have a great time.

I heard about La Cave from a colleague at work, and then realized that it's actually a very short…read morewalk from my home. It took me a while to finally get myself there, as the business hours mostly overlap my work hours. However, I had an afternoon "off" one day (I was home with a sick baby) and decided to take him for a walk and we found ourselves in La Cave, which is mostly French imported goods (and some other gourmet items from Europe) - including wines, pasteries, chocolates, and many other items. All of the stars must have been aligned, because that evening they were having a food and wine pairing event with items from Lauguedoc and Provence regions. My parent-teacher conference had been cancelled that night but I still had the babysitter booked. The hostess (Valeri) was on the phone, and I overheard that she was receiving a cancellation. I told her that I'd be happy to attend with my husband. She checked one person that was on the waiting list (but got no reply) and so, by chance, my husband and I snuck in for this fantastic evening. The price was $35 each, which included 5 courses of food/wine pairing. To be fair, I thought it was a dinner initially, but my much smarter husband realized it was more like "tapas" amounts of food with wine. However, Valeri and Raphael (her husband) were generous hosts, poured the wine fairly freely and made all the food themselves. It was all delicious and though the cooked with items from their stock and poured wines from "cellar" they were not at all pushy about getting you to buy things. They seemed very much that firstly, we enjoy ourselves and secondly, that they could impart a little French education/culture onto their guests. By the end of the night, I was very pleasantly warm-faced and glad that I only had to walk up the street to get home. I learned by joining the mailing list that they have other wine and food pairing evenings, some cooking classes and other one-off events. They also seve coffees in the mornings and have a lovely selection of frozen and par-baked French pastries that look amazing (though, I have not yet had a chance to try them). This little place is situated a short distance off SH 1, as you head south out of Hamilton toward Cambridge, in the Riverlea neighborhood. You could bike there from the CBD (which would be a fairly good ride) and by car it's about 5-8 minutes out of the CBD. It's well worth a little visit if you are looking for some wine, some fabulous chocolate (also stored in the temperature-controlled wine 'cave'), coffee, pastries, etc.

Our pepperoni pizza was good also, no one can mess that up, even with the wait time. Our server was attentive, he took good care of us. Our orders came after 40 minutes, can't complain about that since it was a busy night. Overall, we were happy with everything except for the extra wait time because they forgot to make our pizza. Ambiance was cozy- it was family friendly. We will definitely go back when we visit New Zealand again.

The only reason for the stars is that the main adult meals were good.
