These 2 in particular have been amazing stepping up and covering even last minute when needed. On Thursday Nikkia did an amazing moon salutation class in honor of the full moon. It was an honor to be a part of her class. She's been subbing a lot lately- and it's a pleasure to watch her shine in all of these various classes. Her love and knowledge of yoga really comes thru. As well as some of the classes I've taken with Veronica lately- she's been teaching vinyasa on Wednesdays at 10:30 and I've been really enjoying it. She has such a kind heart and open spirit. I started also going to her 8 am Saturday morning yoga as well after meeting her in the vinyasa class and loving her teaching style. Both of these instructors take time to really explain body positioning and will gently guide students into proper alignment when needed. I love that we have so many weeks with Nikkia subbing so we can be building and growing in each class. Please more classes with both of these instructors. They both have such a calming presence I also love that they each bring new material and music to each class and we aren't just repeating the same moves over and over again So refreshing- this energy will keep me coming back

The gym and locker rooms are pristine but a lot of members just drop their towels on the floor rather than place them in one of the many hampers provided for that purpose. Also, I noticed a lot of members skipping the wipe down after using equipment. it's okay to wear workout clothes in the sauna, which is unsanitary. It's used as a gym annex with everything going on from shadow boxing to Bikram yoga. Not a very relaxing atmosphere. Those are the issues that kept me from giving it 5 stars. In addition to the sauna, there's a steam room that seems to be a bit more calm. Other than the few issues I described, it's a great place to work out.

I love that Jena was NOT what I expected. When I thought about boot camp, I was thinking militant drills, done my way or no way. This could not be further from the truth. Jena's classes were all about YOUR personal best, and getting YOU to the next level, whatever that was. Class was different each day, and that was cool. If there was one day that was lower body intense, we'd do upper body the next. We took advantage of a lot of cool spots around Heather Farms Park. Now, let's get real. 5:30 am class comes around REALLY quickly. I was getting up at 5:00 to be there on time. I was also in bed, with a sleeping mask because it was still light out, between 8-9:00 pm. But I LOVED the feeling of getting my workout done before work. I felt like by 8:00, rolling into the office, my brain was ready to go. Since my Groupon has expired, I'm trying to figure out what's next for me. Unfortunately, East Bay Fitness doesn't fit into my budget right now. But I loved it while it lasted. Thank you Jena!!

Jena is also great about encouraging us to set and achieve our goals and recently got some of us to sign up and train for a 5-10K. Boot camp gives you a great feeling of accomplishment before the sun even comes up and tons of energy throughout the day. Come join us!

Hello, I'm reaching…read moreout because I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service I received today at Club Studio Walnut Creek. I had booked a class for today and had only recently added it to my schedule. Unfortunately, one of my staff members had an emergency and had to leave, which unexpectedly changed my plans and made it impossible for me to attend. I called the club to explain the situation and simply asked if they would make a one-time courtesy exception and waive the $10 cancellation fee. I completely understand that cancellation policies exist, but given the circumstances--and the fact that I had just booked the class--I felt that a one-time courtesy waiver was a very reasonable request. What was especially disappointing was that the person I spoke with didn't even make an effort to ask a manager or see if anything could be done. At this point, it really isn't about the $10. It's about the principle and the customer service experience. I have also referred more than five people to Club Studio, and I was told that I would receive a $25 credit when someone joined. To date, I have not received those referral credits either. So when I'm a loyal customer and actively refer people to the club, I would expect a little more effort and consideration when I have an unusual situation and make a reasonable request. I'm disappointed that a simple request for a one-time courtesy exception was handled this way, especially without anyone even attempting to escalate it to a manager. I would appreciate having someone in management review this situation, including the missing referral credits, and follow up with me. Thank you.

That's fine, nothing wrong with that so far. I went in for our scheduled appointment, he walked me thru the whole process. At the end, he tells me the price $600. I was shocked and said I would like to think about it. He IMMEDIATELY changed his demeanor toward me and was rude, condescending, and talked DOWN at me like I suddenly didn't deserve respect anymore bcus I wanted some time to consider. He was very unprofessional and threw a fit, he acted like a little child who didn't get his way. He ignored me as if I was no longer even in the room, only turning to speak to me to say demeaning things such as "I know you're going to go home and convince yourself you don't deserve the body you want, you don't deserve to meet your goals, you don't deserve to be happy" "you wont meet your goals and you'll be sorry." My self-esteem has nothing to do with the fact that I don't need to place that much monetarily value to meet my fitness goals. No disrespect to anyone who pays whatever amount of money in any way , just for me I do well in other programs as well, I came here just looking to vary it up. But what pisses me off is that this abusive, bullying tactic is very unhealthy to someone who might come here at a low place in their life and vulnerable! It's sickening! To act like an entitled brat who throws a fit, in BUSINESS. This is business, YOU chose to employ the business tactic of taking your time to walk a potential client thru a process before revealing your price that is fine, but don't act unprofessional and blame the client for YOUR choice in sales tactic. Had you told me the price upfront like I asked I would have kindly told you I need time to think about it from the beginning bcus I respect business people's time I will now be taking my money to another program

Back in 2013, I lost 40 pounds, strictly through cardio (running, elliptical, etc.) and making better food decisions. Where I was lacking was in the core strength department. This is what I really like about Fit 2 the Core -- I did semi-private training sessions that I felt were efficient, effective, tailored to my fitness level/ability and complimentary to my continued running routine. I mainly worked with Tim and Steve, who are both fantastic. Although I ultimately decided not to join, my experience was very positive. They have lots of class/training time options from early morning through evening, but still a challenge with my full-time work and grad school schedule. (I generally work out at 5:00 am before work and they don't have semi-private available that early.) I also have a gym membership, so I can't justify spending the additional money...at least at the present time.
