Despite some STEEP hills and slightly unclear signage, this view was beyond worth even a 10-15 min stop and stretch/stroll! It's obvious as you drive toward the pavilion why many people would consider this a special place! Its a beautiful, well-maintained, massive park with many trails and amenities which supplies a completely FREE, panoramic, jaw-dropping view of both KY and OH sides of the Ohio River. Despite there being a small wedding party taking pictures below the pavilion, there were several non-wedding park visitors respectfully enjoying the view, passing by, or taking photos. This will now be a treasured stop anytime driving through or visiting Cincinnati/Covington! Be sure you make a visit or small detour if in the area:)

I've been here for dance lessons, various events, but this past weekend I came here to see a friend's bellydance show (I love that this space hosts such a broad variety of events). Don't come expecting some fancy-pants venue. Leapin' Lizard is definitely rough around the edges, but is filled with character. I came to the show with my friend's husband and we stopped back at the bar to grab a drink before the show. My friend ordered a whiskey sour. The bartender told us that she was waiting for the sour mix to be brought up but that she would walk the drink over to us when it arrived (in a very busy event), how cool is that!? The bar staff was SUPER friendly throughout the event and it definitely made an impression. I can't wait for the next chance I have to come back!

Great for showers, birthday parties, or small gatherings, but NOT RECOMMENDED for WEDDINGS…read more Our guests felt cramped, and the dinner table arrangement was far from ideal. The owner changed the original table layout without my permission, which made the space less comfortable and suitable for our guests. The gentleman at the front desk directed us to the elevator to take to the 12th floor. Top of the Park has two levels, I preferred the 2nd level only because the view is slightly better. It was a little chilly, but the heater lamps and fires made for a cozy atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly and my drink was tasty. We picked this location initially with the guest count being are only criteria, but we were almost immediately surprised by so much more. The view, the gorgeous interiors, and the rich history were all things that finally led us to choose this as our venue for our wedding. But, above all else, was the venue owner - Roger Swonger. He went above and beyond to make our day as special as it possibly could be, and with his help, our wedding day went absolutely perfect. With just one planning session, and a couple of tours, Roger was able to guide us through the perfect day. He communicated well with all of the vendors, was able to provide an amazing wait staff, and bartender, and even thought of the small details - placing some flowers on our small wedding cake, putting a pen by the guest book, etc. Most importantly to us, as a now husband and husband duo, was finding a venue that was accepting. This was Roger to a tee - not only did he treat us with kindness, he guided us towards other LGBTQ+ friendly vendors as well. With his support and guidance, we had a wedding that completely surpassed our exceptions of what a wedding could ever look like in an area like Kentucky. I don't think there is any universe where we could have had a better wedding, and this is all thanks to Roger, and all thanks to having our wedding ceremony at Wiedemann Hill Mansion.
