If you're like me and want to find some peace and quiet, you find solace in the afternoon/evening during the weekdays when there's fewer people there. The ski tracks are well lit once the sun goes down, so no need to worry about it being dark.

You can go from Manglerud, Ryen, Høyenhall or you can take the car to Østensjøvannet and walke from there. Either way you will be in a magical place.

To get there the easiest is to go to Storo and take the bus 56 direction "Solemskogen" and get off at "Akebakken" which is 7minutes away. The hikde from the bus stop to the top take about 30 minutes.
