So happy to have a decent chippy two minutes from my flat! This place is super cheap but great…read morequality. A mini fish and chips and can of pop is £3.39. They almost always cook the fish fresh so it is hot with crispy batter. You have to wait around five minutes but I'd rather wait and have good quality than quickly have bad quality! Pizzas, chicken, pie etc are also available but I haven't tried them. The staff are really friendly and efficient. The prices are cheap. The food is good. Go and get some fish and chips!

Staying close to this fish place. I think it just opened this year and I couldn't find a review…read morefor it on Yelp. I decided to walk over and try for lunch. Found out when I got there it is take away only. I got the mini combination. A piece of cod, fries and can of Coke for only 3 GBP. Great value! The fries were average but the fish was actually the best I have had while in the UK this trip. I have tried it in several places and been disappointed. I personally don't like the skin left on one side which many places did. It can sometimes leave a fishy taste I think. There was no skin at Masons...the batter was very light and crispy and the fish was cooked just right. A+ Masons! The fries may have tasted better if I had eaten there....after carrying home they were not hot and that makes a huge difference with fries for me. They weren't bad...just not special in any way. He said the fries were a small order but it was a very big order for me....could have shared for sure. The fish was a nice size as well. I would go back....and probably will before I leave.

Another fish and chip shop on the High Street in West Bromwich. And another fish and chip shop I am…read morea fan of. So much on offer and I have been here on a number of occasions. Whenever I am in town and am looking for somewhere to go for a bite, I often come here. I have fish and chips as always but I do have the odd pasty now and then. Prices are not too bad and I do find this place to be very busy particularly during the weekdays when school children are on their lunch break. But then again that does not surprise me and it does not surprise me that this fish and chip shop is quite popular. Staff are top class and the shop itself is very clean. Providing there is not a queue, you will not be waiting long for your food and savour the food whilst it lasts. I'm coming back here without question.

So we ventured into this Fish & Chip shop to try and get some brunch - best thing I did all weekend!!! The man that served us both was so helpful - my husband ordered Egg, Chips & Beans, and I dilly-dallied over whether I should have a chicken curry with chips. He assured me the curry would be lovely, and he could make it a little spicier for me. It was wonderful - like a true homemade Indian curry, not an English one. But the Topper, he offered "Do you want normal chips or battered chips?" We'd never heard of battered chips, so I ordered them, for a change. They were AMAZING!!!!! The BEST CHIPS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!! They were so yummy, i couldn't wait to go back the next day. But it was closed because it was a Sunday :-( I was so disappointed! Going back to West Brom end of October, and will HAVE to stop by Atlantis. Can't wait!

Sometimes it's hard to find a decent pizza in a city, I know what your thinking, there's a pizza…read moreplace on every street in Birmingham! Well that might be the case but some just don't hit the spot. Too cheesy, too soft, too many hairs (I mention no names). But Frydays refuses to mess around, not only bashing out classic after classic pizza but also a great fish and chip shop? Believe the hype, this place is surrounded by massive chains such as burger king and pizza hut and there's a reason it stands strong it the corner of Birmingham's food court. Meal deals including pizza, chips and a drink for under five pound, got places for you sit inside and out, actually thinking about it they served me an amazing kebab once when I was sitting in on a very fancy plate. Felt really nice to eat it, took the time to make it look all posh. These guys make me happy every time I see them. I feel like this heart attack I'm bringing on my self by getting excited about fast food places will be worth it.

This establishment immediately caught my eye through wit alone, and I will admit that upon reading the name I actually stopped what I was doing and SHOUTED my laughter, bent double in the street (ultimately scaring my poor girlfriend, who does not quite get the joke as well as I do) as tears streamed down my eyes. You may have seen me all throughout Birmingham, I drew quite a crowd! Absolutely excellent. I recommend Fryday's to anyone with even the slightest idea of what a joke should aspire to be. You may have noticed I have not mentioned the food. Sadly, I was not able to control myself enough to actually enter Fryday's to sample the menu, but I am confident in assuming it is absolutely delicious - of course, it would have to live up to it's name: I would hope everything is, in fact, fried! (If anyone could confirm this for me, it would be much appreciated.) I have had to detract one star, as on the day I came across 'Frydays', it was not actually a Friday - this is unfortunate as I feel that this would have really elevated my experience of Fryday's (it then becoming a pun within a pun - genius!) but never mind, I will try again next time. T.G.I.FRYDAYS!
