I cannot stress enough how much I recommend Dr. Lee for any dental surgery needs. My dentist had…read morereferred me to a different oral surgeon in the area. During my initial consultation, I was taken aback by the surgeon's brusque demeanor, which left me feeling uneasy. I called my dentist again, asking if they had any other recommendations. They suggested Dr. Lee. Initially, I was hesitant because Dr. Lee wasn't covered by my dental insurance, and the first surgeon had quoted me over $1000 for the procedure. However, I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Lee to get a second opinion. I am so glad I did. During my consultation, I explained that the first surgeon planned to use general anesthesia. Dr. Lee assured me that a local anesthesia would be sufficient and much safer. His estimate for the procedure was less than half of the first surgeon's. I called the first surgeon's office to ask if they could use local anesthesia, but they told me it was too complicated to use a local. After weighing my options, I chose Dr. Lee for my surgery. The procedure was quick, relatively painless, and executed with high professionalism. The healing process was smooth with no complications. Dr. Lee's office even worked with my insurance company to reduce the cost substantially. The atmosphere at Dr. Lee's office is a world apart from the first surgeon's. The staff is friendly, smiling, and helpful. Dr. Lee himself is compassionate and even adds a touch of humor to put you at ease. Do yourself a huge favor and ask your dentist to refer you to Dr. Lee for any oral surgery you need. You will be so happy you did.

I'm not one to complain and have never pursued giving a negative review (in fact, I had to download…read moreyelp to do this) but I feel that I need to warn people. I had four wisdom teeth removed with local anesthesia in October of 2024. I paid the quoted amount for the procedure upfront. After insurance, out of pocket was a little over a thousand dollars. Despite my anxiety for the procedure, I opted out of the knock out gas due to limited funds with Christmas looming. Therefore, I paid the thousand dollars for local anesthesia. The procedure went smoothly and healed well. It wasn't until the next month that I received my FIRST invoice for an additional $1k. Confused, I called my insurance, MetLife. My insurance stated that Muskingum Valley Oral Surgery had submitted my claim as if I had been put under, which was NOT true. I called MVOS to clarify the invoice and they apologized stating that they had made a mistake in the billing and I should disregard the additional $1k invoice. Imagine my surprise when I received another 3 (1/25, 4/25, 5/25) invoices following that "resolution" all with the same $1k demand. With each invoice I called. With each call they assured me that I should disregard the invoice in conjunction with an excuse (new billing system, human error, etc.). After calling about the latest invoice, Valerie conceded that if I hadn't brought the billing error to their attention, it wouldn't have been discovered. She then informed me that my new outstanding balance is almost $200. If I (or my wife) had paid the initial November invoice of $1k, no one would have known there was a billing error and they would've pocketed that money. This feels like predatory behavior and billing fraud. I have five children with mouths full of wisdom teeth and I would walk to Columbus before I go to Muskingum Valley Oral Surgery again.
