However, use caution as you will risk being labeled a "drug-seeker". Personally, I hate opiate pain relievers. They have made me sick the few times I have had them, however, I would trade.puking my guts out now rather than have this pain and discomfort. Due to a medical condition and possible contraindications to a medication I am prescribed, I cannot take Tylenol or any other OTC pain reliever. However I can take prescription pain medication without the Tylenol.

I experienced a very sudden onset and rapid escalation of oral pain beginning on a Friday evening which necessitated emergency treatment the next Monday. Dr. Linscott was the only dentist in Athens whom would take me on such short notice. He rescheduled appointments and saw me two hours after I first called. The centrality of his office on Court Street makes him even more accessible to patients. Dr. Linscott treated me successfully to resolution of my case via root canal procedure. In treating me, Dr. Linscott could not have been gentler; in fact decidedly not treating the root canal immediately but first prescribing a strong oral antibiotic to reduce the infection before starting treatment. In my time since as his patient, he has continued to offer the best and gentlest treatment possible. Dr. Linscott's staff are collectively very professional and loyal. His office isn't fancy, but it is clear he remains current on emerging topics and his office is clean, well managed, and has all the tools and talent necessary to do a most effective job.
