The most famous is certainly Pasco's on Saturday & Wednesday. Richland has one on Friday. Thursday evenings from 4-8pm, Kennewick has Southridge Farmers Market. I've become a Farmers Market nerd as of late. There's nothing like taking my empty shopping bags to a market and walking away with them filled with produce grown just miles from where I live. It just tastes some much "gooder". If I had both a green thumb and stayed home enough to be able to water things enough, I'd totally try to garden. But that's just not in the cards for me. Enter my friend: local Farmers Market. This market is quite a trek away for this north Richland resident, but I just had to feed my curiousity. The market is in the parking lot of a newer strip-mall-y type places. I was surprised to see a large number of vendors jam-packed into the parking lot. I made a quick scan and found vendors which I've seen at other markets. It's all good. It's all good stuff. I picked up my newest form of crack: donut peaches. Oh man, these things tastes SO GOOD! I also picked up some freshly picked blueberries and strawberries. I like. My only dislike: the parking. This market had a surprising amount of traffic, and the parking area was overflowing. My newly-washed car had to offroad it onto a sandy field to park. Honestly....why should I complain, as Joni Mitchell says, they pave paradise and put up parking lots. Yeah....there's nothing wrong with NOT paving. I'll shut up and stop whining. Donut peach, please!

Like the public market sign you see at Pike Place Market or at Pybus, this is very similar, so I was intrigued. We had to check it out. We stopped in on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised by what we found. Just like the market spaces at Pike Place and Pybus in Wenatchee, this is a public market space for local vendors around the area, selling crafts and goods, gifts and refreshments. It's not a very large market, but what they offer here are local gems. We walked around the entire market and there was always something that made us smile from the quirky offerings to the free samples from the food vendors. It was pretty quiet on a Sunday morning, so I assume it picks up around lunch time. It was nice to check out, and would do so again when in the area. There's a private parking lot right outside the entrance and bathrooms inside.

This is a small business and they need to make a profit. 20.00 is not much for a family. I assume the fun activities were originally set up for patrons of their business. A fun atmosphere while families pick out goods to buy. It's not for people looking for something free to do! As a small business they have staff to pay and just the bounce house alone costs money to renT. I don't see the same complaints for Middleton. Anyway, we really enjoyed it.
