The entire restaurant was also about 10 degrees too warm on the thermostat, which in addition to the bodies, made it incredibly unpleasant to eat -- members of our party were leaving throughout the meal to step outside for a cool breath. For food we had the pan fried fish, boiled potatoes and strips of thick bacon, which was either roasted for too long or deep fried - it was dry and too salty to be palatable in my taste. Dessert was the best part: a sundae with an assortment of ice creams and sorbets all topped with fresh cream and pistachio nuts.

There are around 4 small two-person tables outside. We ordered a chocolate croissant but got a plain one. Misunderstanding. The outside is nice and more crispy than a typical croissant but the inside was a little more gooey than preferred. Also order a bun, which tasted good. Asked for cheese which also was good. However they put smør on the bread too. I didn't ask for that. I prefer jelly. Lastly ordered the Italian loaf of bread which is very very nice. Pricey as most bakeries but I think overall prefer Emmerys.

But once you are inside, you find the place pretty spacious. We had a roll with cheese and butter (my favorite danish breakfast), a sandwich (may not be so worth to get it here, in our opinion), and we must say that we liked their chocolate croissants the best! Absolutely the best we've tried in town so far. We were also very content with their drip coffee. Emmerys is known for a rather high-end bakery for their prices, but I definitely saw why people like the place after having tried their bread, pastry, and coffee. The place will be now our favorite breakfast spot!

The selection of different cakes and pastries is very big, but also pricey. If something is pricey, your expectations gets raised as well, and the one cake we ordered was absolutely amazing. So why not 5 stars if I thought the cake was amazing? Well, I asked a bit about the cakes and the server we talked to couldn't really recommend anything specific or tell anything about the cakes.
