This animated movie got so big that it made it to Broadway. Moreover, they began to produce touring productions of it. One such version is the one I saw a couple of days ago at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
Have to say that the story is still as compelling. Surprisingly, a majority of it follows its Disney counterpart. It seems that when I typically see an animated movie adaptation into a Broadway show that they change quite a bit. One form of this is adding characters who weren't in the original. Just watch Aladdin or Anastasia and you'll notice this in a heartbeat. Not the case with Frozen.
The effects and the music were joined in perfect harmony. The act before the intermission, too, left an impression. I think my only genuine complaint is the cast. Yes, they were superb, but when Anna's voice overshadows Elsa's, we have a problem. Then again, it's going to be hard to find a voice like Idina Menzel's. Just my two cents. I nevertheless wholeheartedly recommend the show. It'll delightfully entertain you. read more
