We got the st Jacobs Apple pie which has chunks of Apple pie in the vanilla ice cream. The Apple and cinnamon flavor really compliments the vanilla ice cream. They have decadent full-fat ice cream, as well as reduced-fat/"light" ice cream. And of course, they have the delicious frozen yogurt I already mentioned. Pretty much something for everyone. Chapman's products are available at most major grocery stores across Canada. However, selection varies greatly among stores. The discount grocers Like No Frills and Food Basics carry very limited flavours, but regular grocers like Loblaws carry more flavours. I enjoy Chapman's ice cream for likely different reasons than the IICC. The company has a line of ice cream that has no sugar added and is lactose-free. Some companies focus on no to low sugar in their ice cream, but still has dairy. Other companies produce lactose-free ice cream, but still has sugar in it. My favourite is the black cherry ice cream that has no sugar added and is lactose-free. You can't tell. It tastes yummy. Black cherries are awesome. It also has a line of vanilla ice cream sandwiches that also don't have added sugar and are lactose-free. I like them because they are small. I typically have one after a meal and I don't want anything huge. It satisfies my craving for something a bit sweet. Chapman's also has line of vanilla ice cream cones that have no sugar added. Sadly, it isn't lactose-free. However, it is peanut-free for those who have nut allergies. The cones are yummy. I find that the selection of these specific products varies depending on the grocery store that you're at. I tend to get my favourites from Longo's or Sobey's. In other words, they aren't from the cheaper supermarkets in the Canada. They aren't super snooty gourmet stores, either. Chapman's is a Canadian company, which is the cherry on top... haha! Seriously, it is cool to have a company catering to specific dietary needs. I simply like cutting back on sugar and am borderline lactose-intolerant.
