I brought my 82 year old very youthful and vibrant Asian aunt to browse and shop and, because she is very respectful and polite and partly deaf, she overlooked the experience. We were not greeted by the 2 women behind the counter who were chatting with two customers, even when I looked at them and said hello. We were the only other shoppers in the small store and were never verbally addressed for the 5-7 min we were there even when we were directly in front of the counter. My lovely aunt was stared and gawked at by a for most the time we were there, and as a customer exited, the woman stopped, mouth open with a scowl, watching my tiny, casually well dressed Japanese aunt for a full 30 sec as I glared back protectively. I did not want to embarrass my aunt further by addressing the snobby women. The clothing is mostly boring or gaudy cheap synthetics, some poorly made cotton blend mumus, and some lovely ball gowns in the back which I did not get close to, as I ushered out my sweet aunt. **Extremely overpriced for quality and shabby style. I know other shop owners on Third Ave and they are aware of the arrogant snubbing behavior at The Spot. I grew up in the area and lived here 30 years, and it's so sad to see beautiful, friendly, eclectic Spring Lake turn into a place where entitled, arrogant behavior now seems accepted as normal. Rated 1 star because I had to rate; it's in nice corner location, well lit with natural light.

Isa, the store owner, offered to order a different style shell from the same collection that she thought would fit me better. She was right. On my next visit, I bought both the jacket and shell and love the fit, color, and quality. Great customer service and great quality clothing.

We stopped by with our 3 kids 3 under 3 due to seeing some gorgeous clothing in the window. The woman at the register was incredibly sweet, however a couple minutes after we entered, another woman came into the store. Im not sure what the woman's name was, but she was an employee. We got there about 10 minutes before closing although we were unaware of that until the other employee brought it up. We apologized & responded by saying we were just trying to get an idea of what the store had and didn't plan on staying past closing. The woman responded with "well some of us have places to be & lives to live". She came off as very rude, despite the other employee insisting to her that she would be fine alone, and that she could leave early. We got there at about 5:20, and the door was not locked, nor did the register woman mention she had an issue at all. My husband went back inside after loading our kids up to explain to the nicer woman, how off putting the other had been, and that it's deterring us as new customers to come back. He went back to iterate that behaving that way was just very rude of her, and we also wanted to ensure that she wasn't the owner of the store. 1 star off for that woman, 4 stars that maybe could become 5 depending on our next visit which will hopefully be a better one. I don't know if she was having a bad day, or an emergency, but we did not appreciate her demeanor towards us, especially in the presence of our children. The only reason we are going to give this place another shot, is due to the woman at the register who was both apologetic & sympathetic on behalf of her coworker. 05/19/2026

They even gift wrapped the item for me and coordinated a baby sheep rattle with the sheep wrapping paper for the box! Love this place, thank you so much! Looks like I planned this for months!

They are refusing to pay past due invoices. they ordered supplies and will not respond to emails…read more you can call the store but they tell you they have no way of contacting the office. i would not trust them as they are proving to be dishonest.

We are recovering our kitchen chairs and stools and went to Stitch N' Sew for fabric and cushion…read morefoam. The staff was extremely helpful (thank you, Laurie) and we decided to have them do the entire job. They have an extensive inventory of fabrics to choose from. We recommend them highly - just be prepared for a crush of customers, especially on a Sunday.
