It is a scam. I ordered a bottle of Oban 18 on November 1st. They immediately charged my credit card. On November 6 I realized they didn't sent it to me. So I emailed them. They politely told me that they don't have it and trying to locate it. So on November 7 they refunded my money on my request. Be prepared to cover the cost and effort of printing labels, repackaging the item, and driving it to a shipping location yourself. In my experience, meaningful return accommodations were not offered until after I posted a negative review and disputed the charge with my card company. It felt as though the company was more focused on managing reviews than resolving the issue through straightforward customer service. It took six months for a return option to be offered -- and only on the condition that I remove the negative reviews. By this point, I no longer trust the company enough to proceed with the return process. Overall, this was not an acceptable customer experience and required far more time and effort than it ever should have. I would not recommend this company. I immediately contacted them with pictures and details. They offered a $16 refund to cover the damages. They can keep the $16 dollars. Lots of other options out there. Ordered a bottle of Blanton's Special Reserve from them and couldn't be happier or more satisfied. The price was the best I've seen it so I was anxious but decided to pull the trigger. I ordered the bottle on Saturday afternoon, June 29th, and it arrived today, July 2nd. The bottle arrived in perfect condition. The box was the correct size and it was secured with 2 inflatable bottle bags. There was no leakage or a cracked wax ring. The Blanton's box was folded in with the bottle as well. My lone issue is they didn't include the bag. Not a huge issue since I have many other bags just sitting in a drawer. I hope my further order goes just as well. read more

I would NOT recommend frootbat anymore. I've been a loyal customer for years but after my most recent experience I can't go back. I purchased three bottles (JD 14 and 18 yr redemption x2) for the price they had on their site. My purchase was completed, card charged. Then 8 days go by, the JD shows up but I get email saying the two bottles of redemption rye were priced incorrectly and they can't source them so they will either refund or I can have a credit. With the refund I get 30 days to use a 10% off coupon. Guess what , their system will find a way on fees to get that 10% back so useless and it's capped at $100. Meanwhile I check the site and the redemption I've been waiting 8 days on is advertised for sell but 4 times the price they sold to me! That's terrible customer service! Buyer Beware!! Will never purchase from the site again. Took over 11 days to receive order (3 wines) when the site says 3-5 days. Shipping label was created and FedEx waited 6 days to receive the shipment. Wine was received heat damaged and undrinkable- wax tops were popped off, corks were 1/3 way out with seepage over the bottles. When contacting customer service I had to email multiple pictures, multiple times (I included pictures in my original email). Their response time was very slow. After 4 days or so of back and forth they tried to only give 20% off order. They wanted me to eat $100+ on wine that was not drinkable. I kept requesting a replacement order. Days later they responded with 40% off. I continued to refuse the offering asking for a full replacement. No response for almost a week. Checked my credit card and they issued the 40% refund. I wasn't about to throw away $80 on undrinkable wine. I disputed the charge with my CC company. Only the did they respond saying they would replace the shipment. Took a couple days and they sent me a return shipping label. I was told once they receive the damaged items they would send a replacement shipment. Took another 5 days after receiving the return to ask if I wanted a replacement or refund. At this time it was 6 weeks after the original order. Their customer service was joke and was definitely AI generated. The audacity to ask to throw away $100 (then $80) on a product that couldn't be consumed. Super slow response times and unwillingness to make things right. If I didn't dispute the charge I would still be waiting for a resolution. Ordered an expensive bottle of single malt scotch and because of the good price decided to order three additional bottles which I could have purchased elsewhere for much less. Notified by Frootbat that the expensive bottle was not available because they could not buy it for less than what was posted on their website. They had no interest in honoring their pricing and cancelled the order for the expensive bottle and left me with three over-priced bottles. For the inconvenience, they offered a discount against my next purchase but with a $22 delivery fee per bottle, there was no way I wanted to buy anything. After checking, Frootbat considers a discount the same as a coupon and they would not allow applying a discount with a coupon. My advice is stay away from Frootbat. read more

Had a very bad experience with Frootbat this week. 'Purchased' 2 bottles of bourbon. Prior to shipment, I was told the bottle of Dark Arts 6.5 YO I bought was actually Dark Arts 7 YO Rye, and I was asked if I still wanted it? No. They offered me a 10% off coupon for their error. The other bottle I thought I had purchased was a Bib & Tucker 10 YO Cask Strength limited edition. The bottle I received was the regular B&T 10 YO. After two emails and 6 attached images, they offered to sell me the bottle I received at a price higher then I can buy it for locally and half off shipping. They too are an online reseller that uses liquor stores across the USA to source and ship bottles for them. They blamed their supply merchant for the error. Funny how circled notes on the invoice noted they knew they were shipping the wrong bottle. Lastly, they sent me a UPS return ship label to ship the bottle back to them. I believe it is against the law for private citizens to ship alcohol via UPS? When I told them I would not ship via USPS, UPS or FedEx with my name as the shipper, they quickly set up a pick up from a shipper that is licensed to ship liquor. They also took responsibility as the shipper. They know the laws; they were lazy and tried to save a couple of on the return costs, or maybe they thought I didn't know the law or would look at who they named as shipper?
