Thankfully, someone driving by decided to stop and drive me the rest of the way there. Now onto the review... I called Coy's Towing Service at about 6:40 p.m. after I had found myself in the ditch (bummer). A lady answered with a rather unsightly tone, grating out that they had no trucks to send out and that I could not be helped. That was all fine and good, but I don't like being treated like human refuse. I did not say anything that would warrant this abuse. After saying "okay, tha..." she continued on to say, "look I can't help you OKAY," then hung up on me. I simply stated that I needed help, and I would have been much more grateful to be turned down in a more human-esque manner. Inexcusable. To think that I would have even tipped the serviceman for coming out on such a dreary night. They are not deserving of your hard earned money, much less time. Coy's Towing Service won't be coy about treating a potential customer in such brash, and disrespectful way. I'm generally not the type of person to write bad reviews, but I'd hate to see someone treated in the manner I was treated in. When they still did not arrive I called myself and was told it would be another 45 minutes. The driver finally called and said he'd be there in 30 minutes. I don't expect speedy service from a tow place, but I do expect better wait estimates. 255 minutes =/= 80 minutes When the driver finally showed up he assured me that I could go home and get some sleep as it was past midnight and he would drop my keys off with the shop. I asked him what would happen if the shop didn't have a drop off box and he promised to bring my keys to the shop first thing in the morning. He showed me the address of the repair shop on his phone to confirm the location. I agreed to his terms and went on my way. The next day I went to the repair shop at 4:00PM and they could not locate my keys. I called the driver, he still had them in his possession and claimed to have 'forgotten' where he left my car but was now "on his way." with the keys. I texted him the address even though he didn't ask for it and went on a few errands while waiting for him to bring the keys. At 6:00PM They still had not received them, so I brought my spare keys so they could actually work on my car before closing time at 7:00PM. I called the driver again and he claimed that he "was called to a police emergency." I told him that I had already given the shop my spare keys and he now only has 1 hour before the shop closes to give them my keys. I will update if I ever see my keys again.

Now, being men, we had to keep it together to calm the women and children and act like everything was alright ("no, I'm sure it's fine, it's probably a standard light that comes on at exactly 174,396 miles, the dealerships do it on purpose"). Mortally afraid and running on pure adrenaline, I did the unthinkable. I simply opened my yelp app and found A1 repair by filtering hours open and proximity to our location. Even now as I recall the event, I am shocked at how rational I was behaving under such extenuating circumstances. But I digress. The time was was 7:55 pm on a Friday night. We were 13 minutes away. Yelp indicated A1 closed at 8 PM. We weren't gonna make it. We were going to be stranded on a desert highway with nothing but sasquatch and axe murdered to keep us company at night. While us men were busy occupying ourselves with how we were going to fight off mythical creatures at night, suddenly, our female in the car did the impossible: she called Jasen, the friendly service technician, to see if he wouldn't mind staying open for another ten minutes, due to our obviously dire needs. Generously and professionally, he agreed and promptly help us to diagnose our check engine light, which turned out to be only a minor thing and nothing that couldn't wait til the next service appointment at the dealership. It was Saturday evening when we pulled into the gas station where this auto repair shop is located. Alex is the mechanic we met, and he was super nice. Told us how much it would cost to check the tire, then patch it if needed. So he checked, found a nail, did a patch, and we were done within 20 minutes or so. I mentioned Yelp and he perked up and gave us a 10% discount. Really super nice guy, and I highly recommend for your auto needs!
