Fortunately, we were staying right down the street from Cottam's Auto Service, and they were able to get us in and fix the leak first thing this morning, for what I felt was a very fair price. So far, so good; we're in Vegas, 350 miles and half way home, and the fix is holding. During the shaking we experienced on those roads, one of our headlight bulbs went out. Unfortunately, Cottam's didn't have the bulb. While friendly enough during my visit, it's very clear (in your face in more ways than one) what the proprietor's political leanings are.

I worked out a plan to pick up my car hopefully at the end of this week and I'm just really thankful they were so accommodating and so kind. I had the service come to the Thousand Trail RV park to look at and charge the dash AC on my diesel…read morepusher motorhome. The service tech quoted $125 for the call out plus the cost of the Freon added to the system. He arrived and checked the AC system and thought it needed Freon. He was unable to diagnose the problem and said he could not get the AC unit to work. He worked approximately 30-45 minutes. He had to return to his office to provide me an invoice and charged me the full estimate ($235) even though he was not able to complete any repair. I would not use this service again and would recommend caution when having him do any work. I was OK with paying for the Freon he added to the system but feel he should have adjusted his service fee since he was not able to complete any repair.

He was fair and seemed really straightforward about needed repairs and was happy to answer all our questions. He had it done on time, charged a fair price and had us back to our sightseeing the next day. He allowed us to stay overnight in our RV on his property, even supplying power & water. Would do business with them again if we are ever in the area.
