I have a great car, but she decided she wanted to break down for the very first time in the middle of nowhere Utah! It was a whole situation with me and these people were so patient with me because I had to figure out how to get a rental car and figure out how to get back to get my car when the part actually does come in and coordinating with him and kind of having to abandon my vacation because of this-it was a lot for one day and I cried several times because I was stranded and by myself. I worked out a plan to pick up my car hopefully at the end of this week and I'm just really thankful they were so accommodating and so kind. I know that they are very honest because my battery light had come on and I turned my car off hoping it would turn off or it was just a glitch or something, but it came on and an error message came on, and I looked up on the Internet what the problem probably was and the diagnosis they gave me for my car was exactly what the error I had gotten said was wrong.

I called the tow shop up and they pick me & my 24" car trailer up with-in 30 minutes. I live almost 1,200 miles away in Springfield Nebraska. So I had to leave my truck with them to have a transmission put into it. They got the job done in less then a week. I rented a U-Haul van to pull my trailer back home with the wife at my side. I drove back down to get my truck with a friend by using a Enterprise one way rental car. My truck ran fantastic all the way back home the 1,200 miles. I even think it got better fuel mileage on the way back. So today I ordered them Pizza for lunch, I hope they like Domino's Pizza because Lotsa Motsa wasn't open. I had the service come to the Thousand Trail RV park to look at and charge the dash AC on my diesel…read morepusher motorhome. The service tech quoted $125 for the call out plus the cost of the Freon added to the system. He arrived and checked the AC system and thought it needed Freon. He was unable to diagnose the problem and said he could not get the AC unit to work. He worked approximately 30-45 minutes. He had to return to his office to provide me an invoice and charged me the full estimate ($235) even though he was not able to complete any repair. I would not use this service again and would recommend caution when having him do any work. I was OK with paying for the Freon he added to the system but feel he should have adjusted his service fee since he was not able to complete any repair.

Fortunately, we were staying right down the street from Cottam's Auto Service, and they were able to get us in and fix the leak first thing this morning, for what I felt was a very fair price. So far, so good; we're in Vegas, 350 miles and half way home, and the fix is holding. During the shaking we experienced on those roads, one of our headlight bulbs went out. Unfortunately, Cottam's didn't have the bulb. While friendly enough during my visit, it's very clear (in your face in more ways than one) what the proprietor's political leanings are.

We broke down on a Sunday and, to my surprise, saw that Dad's Garage was listed as open 24 hours a day. Skeptical, I called--and to my amazement, Tyson himself answered. He immediately lined us up with a towing company that could haul our truck, ATV, and trailer over two hours away. Even more impressively, Tyson called us back from church to let us know he would meet us at the shop later that day and get us back on the road. And sure enough, around 6:30 PM, he was there waiting when the tow truck arrived. He quickly got our truck into the garage, diagnosed the problem, and had us back on the road in no time. Since our truck couldn't safely tow the utility trailer with our off-road UTV, Tyson offered to store it at his shop free of charge until we could come back for it days later. And the price?
