So I have given this place (Frontier Motel, Royal Motel, Five Star Motel LLC.. which ever name they go by.) a few try's now..
My first stay I was up front along the sidewalk. Aside from the constant road noise and homeless yelling at god knows what every so often.. it was... decent.
-Relatively clean
-The room echos pretty badly.
-Clean towels were provided.
I have stayed in that room on two other occasions. -Nothing to report
Other than the room I'm currently in now I stayed in the 2nd story unit directly above the boarded up space that used to be a general store.
When checking in
-The receptionist couldn't seem to remember if the room had been cleaned or not... it was Not cleaned. (Video and or pictures provided)
-There's a 2nd door in the room, where it leads is unknown.
*Mind you these rooms are $80 a night...
I had taken note of these things but I'm understanding, willing and had planned to let them go. Mistakes happen, this is the Capital of Nevada so cost to run a business is probably bit higher, I don't know.
Anyway, what I do know is I called the provided phone number earlier this evening and spoke with "Harry".
Stated that I was just looking for a night but was interested in doing a longer stay starting mid week next week.
I explained my financial situation and was clearly told they could do $70 for the night (what was remaining of the night).
*note that this was already well into the evening at 7:30pm
So about 10-15 minutes into getting settled into the (non smoking room that literally had a cigarette butt on the floor).
..I get a phone call from the office saying Harry didn't say that they could do $70 and actually had me come back in to pay the.... $10... it's a few minutes from 8pm...
