Terrible customer service as well as terrible internet service. You cannot reach an actual person without jumping through hoops. The customer service team does not communicate with the actual technician so they are never on the same page. This will be the 3rd time since 10/31/24 that I've had them out to my property bc the internet doesn't work. So many lost hours of work. Once the (automated) system determines you need a tech, you then have to wait days to get help. Atrocious. read more

Everything about this company is terrible, I tried to write a prior review and it was deleted. I have t-mobile you just plug in the receptor and it works. Just stopped working for no reason. There is a company truck by our neighbors house with no worker to be seen. Haven't had access to any devices dependent on internet/wifi besides my phone which is super slow since my phone service depends on my wi-f. The only thing that is good with them is the upload match in speeds. Everything else is garbage!! Customer service is trash, of course it's outsourced but if your going to do that make sure that they can understand your issue!! They came into our community uninvited and tore up everyone's lawns with our permission putting in their lines! No not on the easement. They actually dug in our property. Needless to say I hated them from long before, somehow I got convinced to join them, only for the speed honestly... Line ended up getting cut about 1 year later. Tech came out replaced it but left the line exposed, I call them after a month passed and they tell me is a $150 charge to bury the line. Mind you it's like only 30ft long. I told them to go *********** I'll bury the damn line myself! Hate this company! read more

As far as the quality and reliability I have no complaints. Yes like many Internet providers price creep is a problem. In my three years with them the service went from 40 to 90 dollars a month. Although I switched 2 months ago I didn't cancel my account with them until today as I use my internet connection for my job and I needed to make sure my new provider was reliable. On my call to disconnect I was told I would receive a final bill for a DISCONNECTION FEE of $50. When I tried to get an explanation, I was told it was for re-condition the equipment I will be returning. I've been using the internet since dial up and have never experienced or heard of anything like this. Buyer Beware. read more

What a rip off company. I was I NY for six months. my frontier service is underground at my fl home. When I returned to fl my internet was not working. They sent a repair man. He found my cable had been severed outside of my fence on city property. This cable is only buried two inches below the ground not even in a piece of conduit. When asked if I would have to pay for the repair I was told no. So permission was given to repair the cable. Four months later I get a bill from some outside company CMR claims stating I owed 582 dollars for the repair. I explained I was not home and the damage was outside of my fence and I was told they would look into it. it took months for someone to get back to me and it was a different person. I told him the same thing he told me if I proved I was not in fl he could take care of it. He calls back days later and said they don't care where the damage occurred or if I was there I am still responsible. Then he said I could probably pay at a discount. Only to be called back and was told no. I have tried to call his supervisor many times. Mr Price, he never answers his phone. If you leave a message he never calls you back. Do not use Frontier!!! read more

Frontier is the worst internet provider I have experience. They have outages that they are not aware of. They sent a technician during the installation process that was not able to connect my internet. I have had multiple outages within just 2 month. I will be switching as I need a reliable connection. They market themselves as the best and reliable but they are only reliable for internet to be down. I urge any customer not to use frontier as their outages last days. read more

Had to cancel because the frontier person was gaslighting my wife on the phone about how we were supposed to switch. I wanted a new account in my name at our new address. (This had already been installed. My wife was on the phone for 45 min and had to beg to cancel the old service in her name. They would not Allow her to. I called to cancel the new service with a similar experience where the frontier service person would not cancel unless I explained the situation with my wife. It was just word games and classic manipulation. I recorded the call after the attendant, I was on the phone, with told me this...."I think you're gonna want me to understand since I'm the one in control what you want"....it was a response to me asking if it was a requirement he understands to cancel....once recording started, he was notified and began to backpedal and try to explain how I had changed my tune, if anything I was more upset at that point. Either way, I had to ask the guy 9 times to stop asking about my wife and he just gaslit me about how I brought it up. Either way, customer service was garbage, two phone calls where they refuse to cancel without information about you personally, (I'm talking new address, stuff like that, that is not a requirement to cancel). They will gaslight you. read more

FRONTIER JUST DOESN'T CARE - FCC Complaint JUSTIFIED 11/27/24 - Internet went out around 1:30 pm. I was notified of this outage because my cameras went off line. I went on the Frontier app to check for outages and it said there was a service outage detected in my area and that service would be restored in less than 8 hours (this same message remained on the app up until the day I cancelled my service (13 days), it is not a factual/accurate statement and needs to either be removed or updated to reflect accurate information) I called Frontier around 7:30 pm on 11/27 to check the status of the outage as internet service had not yet been restored and was told that I would need a technician to come out to my house as it appeared to be an issue with my equipment, again the Frontier app stated it was an outage in my area that would be fixed in less than 8 hours, nowhere on the app did it indicate I needed to schedule a tech to come to my residence. At no time did I receive any notification from Frontier about this outage, I had to reach out to Frontier. 11/27/24 - Ticket #6772381 was scheduled for December 3 between 8 - 10 am, 6 days!!! I had to wait 6 days to get service, which is completely unacceptable when Spectrum and WOW can both get service techs out within 24 hours!!!. I received a confirmation via text message of Ticket #6772381 on 11/27, 12/1, 12/2 and a notification that the service tech was on the way on 12/3. Service tech arrived on 12/3 and had my internet up by 10:30 am. 12/4/24 - Internet went down again after being restored for 32 hours!!! Went back on the Frontier app and once again it gave the same complete lie of a message "SERVICE OUTAGE DETECTED IN YOUR AREA" EXPECTED TO BE RESOTRED IN LESS THAN 8 HOURS. I called Frontier to schedule yet another tech visit. This time they were able to schedule me for 12/7 between 1 - 5 pm or so they said - Ticket #6783235. Ticket #6783235 was the ticket # for 12/7. I did not receive any confirmations via text on this ticket and that concerned me considering how many text confirmations I had received with my first ticket. When I checked the app it still only showed my original Ticket #6772381 that was completed/closed. The new Ticket #6783235 was not showing up on the app and I could not pull it up doing a search on the Frontier web site. 12/5/24 - I called Frontier back to confirm Ticket #6783235 was actually entered correctly on their end and a tech was actually scheduled for 12/7 and was assured it was and I would have service that day. I still could not see the ticket on the Frontier app 12/6 - I called Frontier again as I still could not see Ticket #6783235 on the Frontier app and now Ticket #6772381 from my December 3rd service was showing open again (my original ticket that had been completed and closed three days earlier). The customer service rep assured me Ticket #6783235 was open and that a service technician would be at my home 12/7/24 between 1-5 pm. 12/7 - I called Frontier around noon to confirm once again that a tech would be coming that day as I still had not received any confirmations via text of this appointment/Service Ticket #6783235. With my original ticket from December 3rd I had already received 3-4 text confirmations by this time. Once again, I was assured, even laughed at for my worry/concern about my appointment that day. 12/7 - 5 pm came and went and no tech!!! No call, nothing!!! I called Frontier back only to be told that Ticket #6783235 had been cancelled!!! Complete rage ensued!!! Then the customer service rep could not figure out how to get a new ticket entered to get a tech out to me. She could not get my original Ticket #6772381 from December 3rd cleared off my account to enter a new ticket and told me she would need to reboot her system and call me back. A couple of hours later she called back telling me that neither he nor her supervisor were able to figure out how to cancel my original ticket from December 3rd and schedule a new ticket for me and that was it, end of call, end of discussion. So I was still without internet and over the whole situation!! I did not hear from anyone again!! I called 12/10 and cancelled my Frontier service and switched back to Spectrum who was able to come to my house the next day with equipment and get me up and running with no issues. While Spectrum may be more expensive, at least I know I can count on quick service turnaround times and reps that are actually located in my area. I knew there was an issue when I was not receiving confirmation texts of my second ticket but not one customer service rep seemed to put it together to care enough to see it as an issue. If Frontier's calls are recorded for training then my calls need to be used for that purpose and each person I spoke with needs to be retrained and reprimanded for their poor customer service in this situation. Frontier needs to up their game and start caring about their customers. read more

I had a service outage because of Hurricane Milton. I was not getting the information on restoration so my wife contacted the CEO's office and I got an immediate response. I had it plugged in incorrectly which the Tech when he came fixed in less than a minute. The CEO and principals DO care. read more

Frontier Internet (Tampa, FL) SUCKS!!! They scheduled an appointment with me & replaced a perfectly good router (horizontal router box w/great 50/50 speed) a couple/few months ago that I've had for years (w/low monthly fee of around $40), since they replaced those big, oversized shoe box of a router. They stated that this router is obsolete & they don't use them anymore. They gave me a much smaller router (cell phone size) with 100/100 faster speed (around the same price) which I liked, and added a white eero/Wi-Fi box. That same evening, I started having issues of slow speeds on all devices. Movies, apps, TVs, Ring cameras, even cellphones that were operating fine, had connection issues and pop-up errors. My Ring cameras were not working/opening properly, even with the eero Wi-Fi extender I purchased for the garage. I received a can't connect error (every time) - "Camera unable to display" for a few seconds, then images would pop up late(r). I have called Frontier technical department many times within the past months, spoke/researched for hours with different techs, even did a type of FaceTime with them but end up with the same results every time. I told them they used the obsolete excuse to scam me by giving me a slower speed for the money and they need to bump up my speed. They probably didn't like the fact that I was paying such a low amount for the speed that I had (when I tell you I had no issues over the past decade - none! I work from home & had no issues w/connection or Apps not working or slowing down) and also that I rejected all their expensive upgrade offers. So, they updated my router involuntarily, and slowed down my speed (only way to explain Apps & Ring cams suddenly not connecting fast enough anymore). I will be terminating my Frontier service tomorrow. read more

Zero stars. Customer since 2018. It's fine when you have them until your bill goes up. If you try to talk about your increase they will send you a link to a government funded assistance program. If you try to cancel or discontinue service, no-one can assist you and you can't get a hold of anyone that will. They will transfer you around and around for months and you will keep paying for a service you do not use. Why don't they have google reviews available for comment? I recently switched to frontier fiber internet. Installer came out Friday to install, said there was an outage and couldn't install today. Set me up for a new date to install. Came back 1 hour later and said the outage is fixed and he can install. Installed everything into my house and said it was still out. Comes back the next day Saturday and tells my husband they gave your ticket to someone else but he is trying to get it back. He then completes the install and says everything is good. Meanwhile I am getting calls to confirm install appointment. So I call on Monday and ask why they keep saying I have an install appointment when everything has already been installed. They say I have a duplicate ticket and they will cancel it. 4 days later I wake up to no internet, proceed to call frontier. After being on the phone for 2 hours and talking to 4 different departments, I was told that my account is a prospect account and installation was never completed so everything was cancelled. They also tell me they have to send another installer out to install new equipment. I asked why they can't bypass the install and move my account from a prospect account to an active one and attach the router that I have already to my account. I'm sure it has a number on it that I could give them that they could activate it but they tell me no. So now I'm leaving on vacation 2 hours from this whole ordeal and now don't have internet to work any of my security cameras while I'm gone. Also!! Everyone I talked to at frontier was very nice but you could tell everyone reads from a script, no one talks to you like an actual human. No one can give me to someone that can actually help my situation and no one offers any compensation for their mess up! I also contacted the installer through text message since I still had his number. He says he completed the ticket and he's "done talking and to stop messaging him". I was not rude and proceeded to tell him what transpired from him not closing a ticket since it was given to a different installer and now I am left with no service for a week until they can do the whole process over again. So my only PRO is for the 4 days the service was working, it was way faster than Xfinity. Also with the whole home WiFi I added on, we noticed a huge difference with the signal strength in the upstairs rooms and outside. Also the installer was very nice but I feel he dropped the ball on completion and making sure they knew that my ticket that was transferred was actually completed. read more

The product is good but the customer service is the worst of any company I have ever dealt with. We recently had Hillsborough County accidently cut the cable while they were digging. No big deal, right? Just report it and Frontier will come out and repair the cable. Boy was I mistaken! After spending an hour on the phone with a "customer representative" and repeatedly explaining that the cable had been cut (there was definitely a communication issue because English was not her first language) I finally thought we had an appointment for a tech. Four days later (the day of the appointment) I get a text saying the appointment was cancelled because there was an outage in the area and they were working to repair it. I didn't want to repeat the exercise on the phone so I used their GIGA chat on the Frontier app. Again, after repeatedly explaining that the cable had been cut he set up another appointment, pretty sure English was not his first language. He set up the appointment for 3 days later. As soon as the chat was over I received a text saying there was no need for a tech to come out to my property because they were working on an outage solution. I tried for a third time through the chat to correct it. I "think" it is set up now but I am not confident as the website still says... "We're working to resolve the outage without coming to your home." I will try calling a local (Tampa) number on Monday and talk to someone who can actually speak English. read more

Frontier Internet is actively trying to rid itself of their TV customers. It is not a secret anymore. They do not want us. Frontier just wants to sell basic internet service and leave the rest to others. We loyal customers who have been with them for many years are getting the bums rush. But instead of just saying they want us gone, they are pulling services in very sneaky ways. Over the last few months, service has plummeted in reliability to the point that they don't even try to fix it anymore, just continue to send the bills. Last month, cable channels started to break up, picture and sound, they eventually fixed that but now the problems are back. Last week all on-demand services stopped working, again no real effort to fix it. No break on the bills though. I was given a phone number by the last tech to visit here so I could check on the repair status... but when I try to call it, it goes to a dead line. I would advise all Frontier techs to not come to our neighborhood anymore or it could be very, very "unhealthy" to say the least. If you are considering using Frontier for any new service of any kind, just note how the existing customers are treated. Go to Spectrum. read more

My neighbor had new service installed today while I was at work. Now ALL my Frontier services are down...internet, TV, and phone. Mistakes happen. I get it. But the SOONEST they can come out to resolve is TWO days from now AND I have to take off work. It was their mistake. I didn't think they'd be able to come out this evening (6pm), but at LEAST expected them to dispatch someone first thing in the morning. Nope. The ONLY way for that to happen was to pay an extra fee for their "pro" service. So now we will burn through all our data for my kids to do their homework for the next 2 nights. Incredibly incompetent!! Wednesday, February 26, 2025 I went through their app to request a replacement modem. I first "checked service", results said functioning properly. No, it is not. I tried rebooting modem several times for several days before even approaching their app. Next step, "chat" with their bot (no choice for human). Go through directions to reboot modem (AGAIN). I tell bot it still is not working properly. Bot's resonse? Join our "tech support" program for ten bucks a month. Nope, not doing that. I do NOT need tech support, I need a new modem. Finally get a human on chat (NOT an easy process). Human says they will overnight new modem. Thursday, no modem. Friday, no modem. Check UPS, intercepted and returned to sender. I notice the address is wrong. They've added "village" after my town name (probably not an issue, I guess). They have the wrong zip code. In my area, we have small towns. Each has one zip code covering specific towns. So, Friday I chat with human (after jumping through hoops to get to one). He says he will overnight a new modem. I request credit for all my time and inconvenience. He says he cannot issue any credit unless I have an open ticket or a service issue. Isn't my intermittent modem a "service" issue? Later, I try to get shipping details. Nothing found under ticket number I was given. I try chat via Facebook messenger this time. She tells me I should have modem Tuesday. This will now be one week, seven days, with inconsistent service via bad modem. I ask for credit, get same song and dance. Whatever. Here's the kicker... I ask that she correct the erroneous address (remember, my BILLS have the correct address). She tells me she googled it both ways, the correct one and the wrong zip and they both show up. I tell her I put in address with totally ridiculously wrong zip and my address shows up, with CORRECT zip. Google is their reference point? She tells me "maybe your post office changed it and now it works with either zip". I don't even live near the border of the two towns. I can ASSURE you, the post office did no such thing. Ask if they want a note from my post office. She tells me "go check with your post office. Have a good day". So, in a nutshell.... new modem "overnighted" Wednesday will be here Tuesday, a week later. No credit for all my time and hassle. No correction of account address (billing address is correct). I will notify my USPS Post Master that he is wrong because some service rep sitting behind a screen in some other state (or country?) says our zip codes are interchangeable with other towns, that's a fact because she googled it!!!! Very disappointed that there are no competitive options in my area, I am held captive. I see Frontier responded to this review and advises chatting through Facebook. If they actually read my review, they would see my last mode of contact was just that, via Facebook. I can't waste any more of my time attempting to correct and resolve this by contacting them again. There MUST be, SHOULD be notations on my account regarding this whole mess. They should try reading that and resolve the problem THEY CAUSED. read more

UPDATE FRIDAY - Frontier sent the wrong equipment needed to convert my internet. Now we wait again. 19 days no internet.

On 10/4/2025 I had a contractor installing a fence on my property and they accidently cut into the fiber optic line running in my back yard. I went on the app to find a number to call and see about getting someone to come out and fix a spliced line. Couldn't find a number so ended up talking with Gigi, their automated chat bot. I asked to speak with a representative and kept getting a link to schedule and appointment. After several times of saying let me talk to a representative, I finally made an appointment which they told me was the earliest on 10/6/2025 between the hours of 1 to 5 pm. I couldn't do that appt because I work nights. So they went and put in an order for 10/7 between 1 to 5 pm. I got a ton of texts asking to "keep" my scheduled time and replied back "keep" I woke around 11 am and noticed I missed a call from Frontier at 10:30 and there was no voicemail from the caller. Didn't think much of it and waited until about 5:15 with no call, no one showed up and nothing to let me know my tech canceled on me. After googling a tech number for Frontier, it took me forever to actually get a live person on the line. I was asking this person what happened to my service call? They didn't know exactly so they transferred me to another person. Asked that person same thing and they said it looked like the tech canceled, so they patched me back to another person to set up a time to come back out, I said not unless you can get someone out here to fix my services today. The earliest they could do was 10/8 between 1 and 5 pm. I said no, I've been without internet for 3 days, I set up an appt that YOUR guy canceled. I have security cameras that I need my internet for. I could not get anyone to have someone come out on the day THEY chose. By this time, I'm livid. Had a rep try to sell me an unbreakable internet plan and I asked would that fix my issue today, of course the answer was no. I couldn't believe it. By this time I was ready to cancel my plan. Was sent to retention and that guy gave me two months credit. $98 and some change and he would look into getting someone out that day, he came back and was sorry he couldn't. So I canceled my account and was told I need to pay for the early termination, the equipment restocking and possibly the damage to their fiber line. I said to bill me. I'm 53 years old and this was by far the shittiest customer service experience I have ever had, and I had Spectrum before. read more
